A couple of important things are coming down to the wire
If you’re a sports fanatic, you’ve probably heard that phrase a lot of times. It’s used in basketball games, football games, track and field, and more. But by most guesses, “down to the wire” actually started with horse racing. And probably at least as far back as 1889.
Way back when, a wire was used to determine the winner of a close horse race.
A publication called Scribner’s Magazine described a close horse race like this: “
Now that you know that little tidbit of information you can be a hit at all the best trivia parties next year.
Maybe you can think of your business as a horse in a race. And that race is coming down to the wire for 2019. Have you given your horse the best chance to cross the finish line first? Or has it been another lackluster ride at best?
Well, 2020 will be here faster than you can sip a Kentucky Derby mint julep. There’s no getting around it.
And something else is coming down to the wire, too.
The prices for my RondaReady business coach CRM system. Yes, they’re going up. My goal was to keep them crazy low for any and all takers in 2019. And we did that. But, following the advice of two different marketing coaches (yes, a business coach needs coaches, too) I’ll be raising the rates quite a bit starting January 1.
So, if you’ve been riding the fence (instead of the fastest horse) about getting a system to help you build your business better and faster, now’s the time to jockey up. I can’t hold the reigns back any longer than December 31. And I’m not going till midnight either.
