Let’s say you live in a remote, small town in some place like northern Idaho. And let’s say it’s way back in the 1920’s. So far this doesn’t sound like the right set of circumstances to get discovered and become a big Hollywood celebrity. Right?
But a young girl with those circumstances DID get discovered.
It wasn’t in Idaho. But that young girl’s parents moved from Idaho to San Francisco when she was a teenager. After her father died, she and her mother eventually moved to Los Angeles. And one day she skipped her typing school class for a snack break in a soda fountain (yes, that’s a real thing) in the Top Hat Cafe in Hollywood. And boy, did she get “a break.”
Yeah, if you’re any kind of fan of silver screen movies and movie stars, you probably already know I’m talking about Lana Turner. And you probably already know how she took her lucky break and sure made good, as they say. In fact, she went on to become one of the most famous movie stars.
Ms Turner won awards and was even nominated for the Academy Award for best actress for her role in the movie version of Peyton Place. So, her chance meeting worked out pretty well for her. At least for her career.
Her personal life was a completely different story.
Lana Turner married and divorced seven times. She suffered from chronic depression. And her daughter, Cheryl, stabbed one of Lana’s lovers to death.
So, that whole “discovered” idea isn’t always a bed of roses, to say the least.
It’s also not a good business plan. And it’s certainly not a system you can depend on or trust. Sure, it sounds glamorous to think about having a milkshake and becoming a movie star. But the odds are stacked against 99.9% you for that to happen.
It’s a much better idea to figure out who you are, what you do well, and where there’s a market for that. Then, it’s a good idea to set up a system that’ll help you take the right steps to turn your idea into your lifestyle.
But, I can tell you, from experience, it takes a while to set up that kind of system from scratch. But I’m also happy to tell you that you don’t have to start from scratch. Because I already did the hard work for you.
And my RondaReady System has over 20 years of proof behind it. I designed it so business owners and entrepreneurs could plug in and start automating and systemizing almost immediately. I’ve shared lots more of the benefits (plus strategies and tips) in my free daily emails. So, if you haven’t already signed up, sign up.
Don’t wait for me to discover you. Odds are I won’t be going to any soda fountains any time soon. So…
Stay Ready,
Ronda
