Insider advantage that won't land you in jail

There’s no better way to out-do the competition than when you have the insider advantage. Because when you know something before everyone else, you can act before everyone else.

A great insider advantage tool is email.

And here’s an example of how it worked for a client.

Andrea knew email was a powerful tool. So, she decided to leverage the email service that came with her RondaReady Business System. Her list had grown pretty cold. Because she just hadn’t kept in contact.

So, first, she cleaned up the list by removing outdated and invalid email addresses. Then, she segmented the list based on demographics like purchase history, email opens, and engagement levels. And then, she started writing more personalized and focused messages.

She learned to test and optimize her email content, too. And she even experimented with different subject lines, content topics, and sending emails at different times of the day and week. Of course, that helped her to find the best times her clients were most likely to read them. And the data was definitely like the insider advantage.

But Andrea was most surprised (and happy about) all the extra business she got.

Would you believe people actually like to know someone they work with or buy from? I know. Crazy. Right? But sure enough, her clients replied to her emails and let her know how much they enjoyed her stories and reports.

And, as she kept her email communication going, Andrea built stronger client relationships. She enjoyed a lot  more loyalty. Plus, her referrals exploded. And that’s another kind of insider advantage. So, Win-Win again!

Yes, I DO have a motive for telling you all this. But it’s not ulterior. I’ll come right out and tell you how much I believe you’ll LUV the advantage of the tools you get in your RondaReady Business System hub. Email, of course. But SO much more. Too much to flood you with right now.

So, schedule a time to talk with me about it. I don’t guarantee you’ll get the results Andrea did. Because I don’t know your story yet. How about we change that with a call?

Here’s your link to get started.

Call the shots or get shot down over and over

I’ll never forget something my mom told me after I’d just become a new mom. She said, “If you don’t call the shots for how you spend your time, someone else will.” And she told me that because she could see how I was trying to find my way through my work time, husband time, kids time, and personal time.

Yeah, I certainly needed to call the shots so I could stay sane.

Otherwise, it would’ve been like that old saying:  “The lunatics are running the asylum.”

So, I learned three simple terms to classify time from a real estate industry coach. And they’re easy. And you’re in luck. Because I’m gonna share them with you now.

Results time – describes when you’re working IN your business

Remodel time – when you’re working ON your business

And Recovery  time – another way of describing time away from your business.

Most people start a business and spend the majority of their time (if not all of it!) on that first level. They work day and night IN the business. And that’s how they become the “technician.” I say that’s how you hit the “results time lotto.” And that’s NOT a prize you want or need. Because people who never grow past this stage tend to burn out, drop out, or white knuckle it all the way through to the end.

Or, even worse, they watch their dream turn into just a hobby.

And here’s why this is so important to realize.

Because it’s really about the use of time. It’s a picture of how the old 80/20 rule comes into play. Most people start out being self employed, wearing all the hats, and spending 80% of their time trying to make things happen. Tons of phone calls and appointments. All the paperwork and online details. And don’t forget about meeting clients, managing personnel, inventory, learning software, etc.

The first business book I read, back in the day, was Michael Gerber’s “Emyth.”

It opened my eyes. I saw how I shouldn’t see my business as an extension of myself. No, it had to be its own entity. Because that would be the way I could build something remarkable. Not just a glorified job for myself. That meant I needed to create an income-producing business that would function without me have to do everything.

So, once again, to be clear, you don’t wanna win the results time lotto.

And I realize, in the beginning, you’re responsible for getting most things done. But as you grow and develop, as a business owner, you need to spend less and less of your time in results. And more and more of your time in remodel.

My RondaReady Business System hub might be the tool to help you do that. So, schedule a time to talk with me about it. I might help you get the result that’ll take you to that next phase of your dream. The phase where you call the shots.

Here’s your link to get started.

Do anything for a year. Yes, you can.

Her words stick with me to this day. “You can do anything for a year.” That’s what a friend of mine told me  during a visit with me a few years ago. We were talking about some of life’s challenges. And how to know when to say when. And we agreed on how you can do just about anything for that long.

Sure, that’s within reasonable limits. I mean, c’mon, you can’t hold a 200 pound barbell over your head for a year. But I’m sure you get the gist of what I mean.

If you do anything for a year, you really give it a fighting chance.

I’m talking about things you can truly commit to for the long haul. Like, having (and running) a business. Taking care of a family. Or building meaningful relationships.

OK, at the risk of sounding like a broken record, those things require your commitment to better habits. You want things to last and go well. But none of that happens by accident. And here’s an example of what I mean.

When you first learn to ski, you start out with the snowplow maneuver. And it strains your legs SO much. But it’s the surest way to not fall down the slope. But you soon discover how tiring that can be. So, you listen to your instructor, and you gradually learn to glide into your turns. Then, before you realize it, you’re gliding down the intermediate trails with your friends. Then, best part is, you celebrate with a hot toddy.

Yeah, you gotta go through the training before you get to the gaining.

But that’s how skiing (or swimming or tennis or any other activity) is like business.

It all happens better and faster with a proven system.

For sports, that’s the instructor. For business, that’s the RondaReady Business System hub.

How about we talk about it some more? I’d like to see if I can help you get your business out of the snowplow stage and on to the intermediate and expert trails better and faster. Remember, you can do anything for a year. And this certainly doesn’t have to take that long.

So, schedule a time to talk with me about it. You won’t know till you know.

Here’s your link to get started.

Make mistakes if you have to. And you do.

Are you afraid of making mistakes? Or do you make mistakes and keep moving forward? I’ll tell you how I feel about it. And my thoughts are in these lyrics from Chrissie Hynde and The Pretenders:

“Look around the room, life is unkind
We fall but we keep getting up
Over and over and over”

See? You don’t make mistakes and quit.

You get up again. Over and over if necessary.

Sure, I wish I could tell you that your business won’t have plenty of ups and downs. But it will. And I wish I could tell you there won’t be any trouble if you’ll just follow a tried and true system (mine preferably). No, troubles are actually a part of business.

But here’s what the most successful business owners and entrepreneurs do. First they don’t make mistakes and allow those mistakes to define them. No, they keep getting up. Over and over and over. And the most successful ones discover how important a proven system, and a hub of tools, is.

And as you read this, you’re in the right place to connect with someone who’s already done a huge amount of the work for you. Yep, I can show you some great ways to minimize mistakes. No one can eliminate them all. But what fun would that be? OK, it might be nice, in a way. But the proof is in the proverbial pudding that you tend to learn a lot more from mistakes than not.

How about we talk about it some more? Because I’d like to know what you’ve got going. And I’d also like to help you get things going better and faster.

So, schedule a time to talk with me about it. You won’t know till you know.

His business empire reached a critical verdict

Steve opened his own business. And that’s no big deal, right? Except that he decided to build his business empire as an attorney. Well, that IS kind of big deal, right? Because you probably don’t think of law and order as some sort of business.

But Steve’s not like the vision of an attorney you might have in your head right now. Sure, he worked for some prestigious firms in a competitive marketplace for awhile. But, as he did, he thought of some business concepts and ideas he could use to be his own boss.

Yep, he felt confident he could build his own business empire.

Because he had unique concepts.

And Steve believed that, on his own, he could pursue those concepts without typical barricades. But he chose an entirely new field where he had little experience. But it was an area where he saw a need (a niche) that needed filling. And he was sure he could fill it.

And to say that he filled it would definitely be an understatement.

In the years since I started working with Steve, his business has grown at such a phenomenal rate, I think it even startled him.

He went from being a solopreneur to having five employees. Steve says it’s because he found a great niche. I agree, but I’d add that it’s also because he provides remarkable service to his clients. And that he does that, partly, by using his RondaReady Business System.

That’s a great example of using proven systems and business concepts to go above and beyond what you first think is possible. Now, I won’t tell you that my business system hub will generate the same results Steve and his business empire got.

But there’s certainly no law against it.  🙂

So, schedule a time to talk with me about it. You won’t know till you know.

Four eyes don't have to make you a monster

I remember a relative who talked about being teased, back in the day, for wearing glasses. Kids would call him “four eyes” (kids can be so cruel, can’t they). These days a lot more people wear glasses, so thankfully that kind of teasing isn’t so common anymore.

And I’m gonna show you how four eyes can be a big advantage.

Now, don’t rush out and get yourself a prescription or fake glasses. Because I don’t mean that kind of four eyes. No, I mean four actual, real eyes. And I’m gonna show you how you can have them and NOT be some kind of science fiction monster. Let me tell you a story.

Randy and Emma were a great team. Anybody who watched them in action said so. They ran a quaint little bakery called “Bliss Bake” in the heart of their small town. And it all started a decade ago when they decided to turn their shared passion for baking into a business.

It was so cool how a few cupcakes and cookies in their home kitchen turned into a local establishment enjoyed and loved by so many.

Emma was the creative one. She managed the kitchen and made delightful pastries, and other goodies, with unique flavors their customers just couldn’t resist.

And Randy’s forté was more on the business side. So, he managed marketing, customer communications, and the other technical parts. You could say their complementary skills and four eyes on the same goals were the secret ingredients to their success. In fact, I just did.

Every morning, Emma and Randy woke up before dawn. And they prepared the dough, baked the goodies, and did all the decorations. Friends and family often talked about how the two of them would laugh and tell stories as they worked. No wonder they named the place Bliss Bake.

So, customers adored them, not just for their delectable treats but also for their warm, welcoming personalities. The couple knew most of their regulars by name. And they almost always took the time to chat. When you visited their bake shop, you were treated more like part of the family.

And that led to a LOT of business.

So much business that Randy realized he needed a way to streamline a lot of the behind-the-scenes work. And he looked online for some help.

That’s when he discovered a humble, little business system hub where he could plug in the Bliss Bake website and operations and set up some great automation. And long story just a little shorter? Emma and Randy grew their business, better and faster, both online and at the shop.

Of course, I would never tell you that you and your spouse or sibling or friend will get the same kind of results. Because, well, I don’t know you. But I DO know that if you and someone you trust can work together the way Randy and Emma did, you can experience more sugar and spice than sorrow and stress.

Schedule a time to talk with me about how setting up a hub could help you build your business better and faster so you can focus more on what YOU love, too.

Business ideas can be like having too many lights on.

Wendy always has an almost limitless stream of business ideas. And that’s great. AND it’s awful. It’s great because it keeps her creative and busy. But it’s awful because her creativity can’t keep up with her busy-ness.

And busy-ness ain’t good for business.

Yeah, Wendy’s focus was on all her ideas. So, that meant she wasn’t really focused. Because no one person can focus on 10 ideas at the same time. So, she often felt overwhelmed and disorganized all day. And worn out every night.

But she knew she’d never give up on her dreams. So, she set aside some time each day for a week to research what kind of tools could help her get more organized. And before the week was up she discovered the RondaReady Business hub system.

And she got some new business ideas right away.

“OK, that’s not the point,” I pointed out when she told me about her ideas. “Because we need to give you a way to organize and prioritize what you’ve already got going.”

Fortunately, Wendy was open to me nudging her in the right direction.

So, we started going over the different ways the RondaReady System hub could help her automate some of the stuff she had to do every day. And she found out she really liked spending a little more time up front so she could save a lotta time after that.

Wendy learned how she could log and categorize her ideas. And that helped her clear away the chaotic sticky notes and other scribbles and doodles that covered her desk. With her new digital notebook, she could track her business ideas with client communication and set project timelines.

And then I suggested she use her CRM to sort her ideas based on urgency, feasibility, and resource requirements. That way she could know which ones needed immediate actions and which ones she could postpone till later.

Especially the ones for her clients and customers.

Wendy said she “loved how her CRM hub streamlined everything so well” that she actually felt more energized again.

I don’t promise the RondaReady System hub will energize you. But my guess is that it CAN streamline your work, too.

So, here’s a good business idea. Schedule a time to talk with me about how setting up a hub could help you build your business better and faster so you can focus more on what YOU love.

Sales tax you pay because you're a failure

You gotta sell something if you wanna make money. I think we can all agree on that. Right? And, whether you like it or not, you gotta pay taxes. And I think we can all agree on how much we don’t like how much that is. Right? But you might disagree with me when I tell you that you pay a certain sales tax because you’re a failure.

“Wait. What sales tax? And who you callin’ a failure?”

I can almost hear you asking those questions. Because I’d ask the same ones if somebody dared to call me a failure. Especially if they call me that for paying a sales tax without knowing it.

Sure, I don’t keep track of every penny I spend on sales tax. Because, well, I have a life. And who keeps track of all that? Besides CPA’s and other accountants. Yeah, nobody.

But let’s go back to my first sentence. “You gotta sell something if you wanna make money.” That’s called sales. You need sales in order to make profits. And you need profits if you wanna keep buying groceries, gas, and other goodies.

So, since that’s all true, why do you (well, not YOU, but so many others) fail to come up with any sort of sales plan? I’ll tell you why in two words. Bo. Ring. Yes, boring. And no fun. And most certainly not the glamorous part of anybody’s business.

I read an article that included 8 sections for a typical sales plan:

  • Target Customers
  • Revenue Targets
  • Strategies and Tactics
  • Pricing and Promotions
  • Deadlines and DRIs
  • Team Structure
  • Resources
  • Market Conditions

Most people, even the ones who LUV to dive into the inner workings of their business, look at that list and cringe. But why?

Because that’s just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to all the moving parts. And nobody wants to even think about how much there is to the rest of that iceberg.

But that’s why I started my RondaReady Business System hub.

Because I wanted to help risk takers get control of, and chip away those darn icebergs. And stop paying more sales tax than you absolutely have to pay just because you “failed to plan.”

But I’m not gonna share all the ways your hub can do that right now. Because I’d like to know more about what you’ve got going first. So, what you should do sooner rather than later is schedule a time to talk with me. And let’s talk about how setting up a hub could help you build your business better and faster. Because I know you’re NOT a failure.

Here’s your link to get started.

Thriving business burning at both ends

Lily makes candles by hand. And you might think it would be too difficult to turn that into a thriving business. But Lily’s the kind of solopreneur who never quits. She knew the only way to turn her passion into a way to support herself would require automation and determination.

Yeah, those are definitely requirements for a thriving business.

So, she started with her email list. Even before she took her candles online, she grabbed customer emails. Brilliant thinking. Then, she kicked it up several notches when she wrote a series of emails for new customers.

Each automated email shared another piece of her story. Lily discovered that her customers enjoyed hearing about the inspiration behind her products. And they seemed to really tune in more when she gave them a sneak peek into her candle-making process.

Wow. Who knew? People like to connect with real people. What a concept!

Then, Lily added a sequence of emails that included useful tips on candle care, exclusive discounts, and the latest product additions. And the best part was the automation. Because she scheduled everything in advance. So, she could maintain consistent communication with her growing customer base AND stay creative.

She found other ways to automate emails based on action triggers. So, when a customer took a certain action, her system could send out a message she had already written for that action.

One great thing about Lily is that she knows that high value of a genuine thank-you. So, as you might’ve guessed already, she set up some personalized and creative thank-you emails. And she even used them as opportunities to offer discounts on future orders.

I love that.

She knows how to burn the candle at both ends without burning out. Boom! THAT is how you build a thriving business.

As it turned out, Lily’s personal touch really connected with a lot of buyers. And sales soared. But  Lily found herself with more time to focus on creating new, enchanting candle designs.

And that’s how she transformed her one-person venture into a business that provides her a quality life she loves. Yep, that’s why I love working with solopreneurs like her.

My RondaReady Business Hub system can help you automate like Lily did.

But I’m not gonna share all the ways it can do that right now. Because I’d like to know more about what you’ve got going first. So, I invite you to schedule a time to talk with me. And let’s see if setting up a hub can help you build your business better and faster.

Tedious tasks aren't nearly as fun as they sound

Nick (not his real name) was once overwhelmed with the daily grind of manual number crunching for his small business. Sales reports, expense tracking, and payroll consumed too many hours every week. And that cut into his time for client communication and customer service. Plus, it limited his time when he could focus on growth and strategy. He knew he had to find a solution for those tedious tasks.  So Nick looked for some automation tools to help him streamline his time.

But what kind of tools streamline tedious tasks for you?

Well, Nick found companies that claimed to help you “create an interconnected system where data flowed effortlessly between platforms, reducing errors and increasing efficiency.” And others said they could help you with “advanced analytics tools to monitor sales trends and customer behaviors in real-time.” Those tools, they said, would help you “make data-driven decisions swiftly, optimize inventory, and create marketing strategies based on solid insights.”

I don’t know about you. But those sound like more (even though they’re different) tedious tasks. I mean, c’mon. Where’s the human connection and interaction. Because ultimately you serve human beings.

Sure, once you get through the learning curve for an “interconnected system where data flowed effortlessly between platforms,” you might see the benefit of fewer tedious tasks.

Or you could also plug your business into a proven System, with a hub of automated tools, and skip the more complex approach. Yeah, you could tap into good system for staying in touch with your customers and clients. And for tracking referrers. Or how much income each one of them is worth to your business.

But where in the world can you find such a System?

And if you’re a solo business owner, do you even have time to look?

Forget about how much time it’ll take. Because I’m here for you. And I created and produced the RondaReady Business System hub to help you automate tedious tasks and love your dream again.

I want you to have the tools, systems, and abilities to know your customers and clients better. And know your numbers. And build a better business based on those numbers.

So, here’s what I’d like to do first. I’ll share a link where you can schedule a time to talk with me. None of those silly consultation fees. Just good, productive conversation about YOU and your business, dreams, and goals. And let’s see if setting up a hub can help you build your business better and faster.

Here’s your link to get started.
