Things change fast, even if you don't want them to. So be hub-a-licious.

Things change fast in this digital age. In regular life. AND in the business world. I don’t think many would disagree with me on that. And I’m certainly seeing things fly by lately.

I don’t know about you. But some days it feels like about the time I finish dressing to go to work it’s already time to get ready for dinner and bed. It’s like the sunrise and sunset are connected.

And when you’ve got a busy day, that time space continuum really speeds up. Right?

So, since things change fast, you need to be in more places at once.

“Wait. What? Did she just say you gotta be in more places at once?”

Well, yes. I certainly did. What’s wrong with that? Think it’s impossible?

OK, yeah, it’s physically impossible. But remember. This is the digital age. So a digital version of you can be in more places at the same time.

And that’s why I’ve been plugging my RondaReady Hub. Because it can be a game-changer if you’re looking for a way to streamline your marketing efforts and maximize your outreach. That’s business lingo for “You can be in more places at one time.”

Your Hub Can Connect Your Marketing Strategy

Because it gather all your marketing activities under your personalized business umbrella. So to speak. And that means your email marketing, social media engagement, content marketing, list building, and more can work as smooth as synchronized swimmers.

Plus, when you use the power of a hub, you can reinforce your brand’s message across multiple channels. Sometimes with a single action. And that way you can easily measure performance, track customer behavior, and adjust strategies in real-time.

Things I’ve helped clients do better for years.

And when you tap into the power of your RondaReady hub, a lot of the stuff you do over and over every day can be automated. And that can free up time for your team to focus on creative and strategic initiatives. Even if your “team” is only YOU for now.

Of course, consistency is crucial if you wanna build a strong brand.

And your RondaReady hub can help you make sure all your communications and marketing materials stick to your brand guidelines. Then, you can keep a consistent brand voice and visual identity. And that’s a great way to build trust and recognition with your target audience.

Since things change fast, that also means your business can grow fast, too. That’s why it’s important to set up your hub sooner rather than later. So it can grow with you. And that’s something you’ll hear some call “scalability.”

That just means whether you expand your product line or enter new markets, your business expands with fewer headaches. And don’t let anybody tell you their system will remove ALL your headaches. No system or hub can do that. Because, as I said before, things change fast. Sometimes faster than anyone could have predicted. Remember 2019-2020?

Here’s one of the biggest advantages of your RondaReady Hub. It can help eliminate the need for multiple subscriptions to multiple platforms. Not to mention, but I will, the challenges of managing different software. When you work it all from a single hub, it can save you considerable Bank, Benjamins, and Buckaroos. (psst…that’s money in case my enthusiasm got the best of me)

And I almost forgot to mention this.

How the cost of tapping into your RondaReady Hub can provide a nice Roy Rogers? Oops, darn spellchecker. That’s supposed to be ROI. Your return on investment.

So, to repeat myself and make sure those of you in the back row heard, your personalized RondaReady Hub can get a LOT more organized. AND it can help you keep your brand management under control.

But although it sounds like I’m trying to talk you into jumping in head first, I’m not. In fact, I think it would be a good idea for you to make an appointment to talk with me about it.

Yes, you’ll speak directly with me. Not a customer support center in some exotic, strange land. Don’t put it off even one more day. Remember, things change fast. And, after all, it’s a free call.

Here’s your link to get that started:

Sad news stories every which way the wind blows

I just read a very sad article about a restaurant owner in Galveston, Texas. And, as bleak as it sounds, what’s worse is that there are lots of other sad news stories after Hurricane Beryl hit the Texas coast last week.

~ In the harder-hit west side of Jamaica Beach, Way West Grill and Pizzeria was still without electricity on Saturday afternoon. Owner Jake Vincent felt stuck in limbo: he had heard power would return by July 19 but had hope that it might come sooner.

The loss ruined his entire inventory. He said enough mozzarella cheese to fill the back of his truck had gone to waste. Also spoiled was an 8-foot chest full of fries and an estimated 300 pounds of pepperoni.

Vincent no longer expects much from a year he had anticipated would finally bring “daylight” for his family-run restaurant founded in 2018. He said most of their annual sales come during the three summer months and that “this tourism season is probably done for.”

“It complicates things,” he said. “You bank all your summer money to get through the winter.”

I know you can find sad news stories even worse than that.

But I’m not sharing this with you to see which one of us can find the saddest news stories. It’s just an example of how life can dump a load of trouble on you even when you’re prepared. In fact, I’m sure you have your own sad news stories. Because everybody does.

Just because life can be harsh doesn’t mean you have to make it worse.

But that’s just what you’ll do if and when you do what most other business owner and entrepreneur wannabes do. What they (try to) do is everything. And in real time. It puts them in a position of reaction instead of pro-action.

And that’s why one of the first things I recommend my clients do is to set up tools to help them automate and delegate their day-to-day operations. If they can’t afford to hire people to do that, then I recommend they set up helpful tools.

That’s where my RondaReady Business Hub really shines. And I believe my clients, who are already using their own personalized hub, would tell you it’s like having star employees without having to pay star employee salaries or wages.

Wanna find out how a RondaReady Hub might help you that way?

Great. Then, make an appointment to talk with me about it. You’ll speak directly with me. Not a customer support center. But it might be another one of those sad news stories, if you put it off even one more day. So, don’t.

Hubbub noise means nothing to you. Right?

So, what’s with all the hubbub noise I’ve shared about your business hub? Well, this probably doesn’t even concern you, so I wouldn’t lose any sleep over it. Because you’ve already got everything running like a finely tuned, uh, whatever runs best when it’s finely tuned.

And so that means business hub talk is just hubbub noise.

Before I go on, I should acknowledge that to call it hubbub noise is a little redundant. Because if you look up the meaning of hubbub, one of its synonyms is, you guessed it, noise.

But nevertheless…

A business hub might not mean anything to you. But a lot of business owners and entrepreneurs have questions about how to set one up.

In fact, here’s a sample of some of those questions:

  • How do you set up a business hub?
  • What services and resources are available in the hub?
  • How much does it cost to join or set up and use a hub?
  • Are there networking opportunities within your hub?
  • Can a business hub help you grow and market your business?
  • Does having a business hub mean you can’t or don’t work independently?

Maybe you have other questions.

If so, consider this. In my RondaReady System, I teach how to create an accomplishment board. It’s a great tool for setting goals and putting them somewhere highly visible where you can’t forget them. If you don’t have one, just use whatever bulletin board or calendar you have.

That being said, here’s a RondaReady Recommendation for this third week of July 2024. In big, red letters write “Start My Business Hub” where you can easily see it. And then, start today.

But maybe you don’t even know where or how to start.

Good news is, I’ve already set up a logical sequence in my RondaReady Hub System. But I don’t wanna try to convince you how awesome it is right here and now. Because I know there are too many possible questions to answer. And it would take too much time to answer them all here. Plus, you don’t care about a hundred questions from a hundred other business owners.

You wanna get your own questions answered. And that’s as it should be.

So, I’d rather you make an appointment to talk with me about how and why a business hub could work for YOU. It’s your chance to talk one-on-one with someone who wants you to succeed on the level you want. Let’s see if we can tone down some of that hubbub noise.

Here’s your link to connect with me:

A good show, but it'll never be a blockbuster

Have you seen those videos where some guy puts on a good show of working while he’s actually not doing a thing to help? I saw one where the guy went back and forth between pallets of cement bags as other guys carried them to a truck. He made a bunch of trips but never carried a single bag. But the other guys were so busy, they didn’t even seem to notice he hadn’t actually helped at all.

It was hilarious. And he reminded me of a business owner who did the same thing. Sort of.

He put on a good show, in his business, every day.

And I describe it that way because he literally owned every single detail of his business. From sweeping the floors to customer service to executive decisions. He just couldn’t let anybody else do any part of it. It was partly a profits thing. And partly a control thing.

But he DID discover how that kind of control-freak attitude can take a toll. Because, as you might expect, he started to burn out. So, he reluctantly decided maybe it was time for a new hire. And it was such new territory to him, he didn’t even know where to start. So, I gave him this advice:

“Count the money. Focus on the income you plan to make over the next year. And think about how you could get there more efficiently if you focus on the $300 an hour tasks. And let someone else focus on the $10 an hour tasks. Those high dollar tasks are the ones only YOU, the business owner, can do. They’re the ones where you’re working ON your business, not IN it. Because that’s how you have a true chance to scale things up.”

All that day-to-day busy-ness makes you look like the pretend worker.

Busy-ness doesn’t help you build business. It just makes it look like you’re doing more than you are.

And it keeps you wrapped up and strapped down.

Why not hire someone who’s better equipped and has the skill set for office work? They’ll probably be much better at it than you. And you’ll be much better at what you’re much better at. And that combo really can be a good show. Maybe even a blockbuster.

When you break out the calculator and run a few numbers, you might be amazed at how much better you can feel. And that’s what happened with my client.

He did the math and saw how numbers don’t lie. They showed him how he basically couldn’t afford NOT to hire someone. And, since then, he’s told me it was “a game changer.”

In my RondaReady business book, I go into a lot more detail about your business numbers. In fact, I share the whole system I helped my clients set up to scale up 6 and 7 figures businesses. Get a copy of the book, today, at the link below. Why put off your dreams of success even one more day?

Ten thousand hours till that light bulb moment

Tom wanted to help his neighbors be able to get more done in a day. And he had an idea for how to do that. But he just couldn’t make his idea work. Day after day he worked on it. And night after night he lived with another failure. But he didn’t give up. So, after what felt like ten thousand hours straight, he got his idea to work. Then, he was able to help lots of people have a better life.

The guy behind those ten thousand hours was Thomas Edison.

And I think it’s safe to say ten thousand hours would be a small number compared to the actual number of hours Mr. Edison spent on his inventions.

On the surface, the light bulb seems so simple. Just some filament in a bulb. But where did Thomas get the filament. And how would he get that filament to stay put inside the bulb. And what kind of bulb would it have to be? Oh, a vacuum bulb. But where would he get those?

Well, it just so happens that Mr. Edison had his own glass blowing “shed.” And that’s where he and his team created the bulbs. That way he had plenty for his experiments.

But let’s get back to the filament.

According to documentation, Thomas “tested the carbonized filaments of every plant imaginable, including baywood, boxwood, hickory, cedar, flax, and bamboo. And he even contacted biologists who sent him plant fibers from places in the tropics.”

Wow! Just the filament part, alone, is proof of how dedicated he was.

And that dedication and determination showed when he said, “Before I got through I tested no fewer than 6,000 vegetable growths. And ransacked the world for the most suitable filament material.”

That’s why I believe there were many more than those ten thousand hours mentioned before.

So, here we are now.

With a light bulb in every room of your home. And electricity running freely into just about every house. And it’s so normal now that we all take it for granted. Like, for instance, when you open your laptop or phone and start reading, watching, or typing. There are lights and plenty of other bells and whistles.

But it’s SO incredibly normal that you don’t even think about what it took to get to this point.

So, when daily life takes everything you’ve got, remember this.

Keep pushing forward. Because you’ll probably find you DO have a little something left. You DO have a way to help someone else. Or even lots of other people. You’re made of more than you might think.

Your ten thousand hours might be any minute now.

If you need some help making the most of those hours, get your own copy of my RondaReady System book, today. Because I share ways you can automate and delegate even more easily than Edison. It’s the same system my clients have used to build and run very profitable businesses.

To dream even when you're over the hill

It’s a tragedy and a comedy of sorts. And it’s the story of a man who dares to dream a crazy dream AND actually go out to follow that dream.

Most people probably agree it’s good to dream.

But what if your dream was to be a hero? And I don’t mean a make-believe Avenger. I mean an actual hero who works to save the world from evil, power-hungry people who oppress the poor. What if your dream was to be that person? And what if you were already over 50 years old?

I bet you wouldn’t have to look far to find someone who’d say that dream was impossible. But it’s the dream Miguel de Cervantes instilled in his famous book about “Don Quixote.” Even if you don’t remember Señor Cervantes, maybe you’ve heard of the movie and play, “Man of La Mancha.”

That’s the suburb, in Spain, where “Don Quixote” lived. And he read lots of books about heroic deeds of chivalry and decided to be that kind of hero.

I won’t spoil the book’s ending for you. And I just wanted to use that story as a way of encouraging you to be honest with yourself. Because I always talk about the benefits of running your own business.

But that just might not be your thang.

So, if you can be honest with yourself and admit you won’t follow through in business, then it’s OK to stop trying to be a business owner. Not everyone is cut out for it.

And that’s OK.

Having a good job, and being well compensated for your skills, can be awesome.

It takes business owners AND employees to run a successful business. But it’s crucial to know which one you prefer and which one you’ll be. And then, be the best owner OR employee you can be. Either way you can be successful.

I know you’ve heard this before, but you don’t have to take the same path to success as someone else. Your path might be something simple and uncluttered. And running a big company or corporation certainly won’t let you live that way.

So, be honest with yourself…

Are you the sort of person who wants to work toward your own goals and ideas? Can you put in the extra time each day…day after day…to make sure you reach those goals? Or would you prefer to work a good eight hour day and go home to your family? Like I said, the choice is yours, and either one is an honorable way to go.

If your choice is to be the business owner, invest in your own copy of my RondaReady System book, today. You’ll have almost immediate access to the same system I’ve shared with my clients who used it to build and run 6 and 7 figures businesses. It’s OK to dream. But it’s WAY better to set up a system to help you make that dream come true. Get your copy of the book at the link below.

Move stones and end up invigorated? What?

A friend of mine shared a somewhat blurry video with me about a man named Wally Wallington. A guy who’s a retired construction worker in Michigan, not a scientist, but who clearly has a very moving story. And to be more exact, he knows how to move stones.

But he doesn’t move stones like the ones in your flower garden.

Wally can move stones from 300 pounds to nearly 10 tons. All by himself. With no hydraulic machinery or trucks or fancy schmancy tools. Well, his moving tools are very cool. Just not what you’d call fancy.

His family thought he was crazy when Wally first started moving large stones. Isn’t that just like family so much of the time? But once they saw the massive weight he could move, entirely on his own, they were impressed, to say the least.

In the video, Wally says he believes he knows how Stonehenge, the famous blocks of stones in Britain, was put into place. And he said it’s all “based on a very simple technique.” He said, I found a simple explanation for this. To move a block about the weight of a minivan would be to place a stone underneath it, and once I balance on it, I can spin it.”

He continued his demonstration as he said, “I got two handles on my lever, and I could place another stone on this side. Now every time I spin a half rotation on each stone I move the block horizontally the distance between the stones. And with my own output I could move a 1 ton block 300 feet per hour.”

As I said, a very moving story. Right?

But, as incredible as that all sounds, Wally’s story gets even more amazing. He’s moved one ton blocks and even buildings. In fact, he moved a pole barn. You can see him doing it in the video. It was a 30′ X 40′ pole barn. And he moved it 300 feet onto another property for one of his friends.

And even more impressive than that was the final feat they showed in the video. Wally stood a massive block of concrete, that weighed 19,2000 pounds, up vertically. Totally by himself, using only sticks, stones, and gravity.

You might not believe it till you see it. But I saw it. And he definitely did it. I’m not even gonna try to explain his levers and methods. But it shows you how much even one person, alone, can accomplish.

And that brings me to why I wanted to share Wally’s story with you. Because I think his action is a great analogy for what you (and I) need to do probably a little more often.

And that’s to get out of the daily grind and go outside and move stones of your own.

Or go see a movie. Or hike in the mountains. Whatever or wherever you like to go and do stuff you enjoy just because you enjoy it. Get yourself a change of scenery. Do some things in a different order. Or eat a different kind of lunch. Find the little pleasures in life and let them help you spin around to a fresh and invigorated perspective.

Once you get refreshed, THEN go back to work.

But I bet you go energized with a new perspective.

Sometimes you don’t even realize you need to do it until you actually do it. Believe me, I understand what it’s like to get in the groove and not want to stop. Especially when you’re trying to build your business and get more out of life. But I encourage you to at least give this advice a try.

Speaking of business advice, I’ve got a lot more for you when you get your own copy of the RondaReady System book. It’s the kind of actionable, how-to advice that lots of my clients have used to build 6 and 7 figures businesses. Your link to the book is below. Let me help you get ready, and…

The Great Pumpkin is fictional unless it's a plan

Of course, I’m WAY too young to remember Charlie Brown’s friend, Linus, who waited and watched for the Great Pumpkin in an animated Charlie Brown Halloween TV special. But I’ve heard the stories. And when you get down to it, you gotta give Linus a lot of credit for perseverance.

He was the ONLY one who believed the Great Pumpkin was real.

Linus did get some support from Charlie Brown’s younger sister, Sally. But that was mostly because she was in love with Linus. So, she thought he could do no wrong. But Charlie Brown took her away so they could join the gang for some trick-or-treating.

Before they really got going, the gang stopped by the pumpkin patch. Because they wanted to make fun of Linus for missing out on all the fun. Especially since the same happened the year before. But Linus refused to leave the patch. And he was able to convince Sally to stay behind.

Charlie Brown’s TV special was way back in 1966. So, it shouldn’t be much of a spoiler alert when I tell you the Great Pumpkin never showed up. But it’s a cartoon. So, Linus can try again next year.

And you might be wondering why a business consultant would be talking about a Charlie Brown cartoon. Of course you would. I’m wondering that myself.

Just kidding.

No, I brought it up because each year Americans start one million new businesses. But, according to statistics, nearly 80 percent of them fail within the first five years. Yikes!

And those are the kinds of stats Mike Michalowicz faced as he tried to grow his first company.

As he put it, he made “steady money.” But “there was never very much left over.” And he ended up “chasing customers left and right, putting in twenty-eight-hour days, eight days a week.” But he discovered a source of inspiration from a very unlikely source. Pumpkin farmers.

Mike read an article about a local farmer who had dedicated his life to growing pumpkins. But not just pumpkins. The farmer worked hard to grow giant pumpkins. And Miked saw what the farmer did and figured the same process could apply to growing a business.

So, he tested out what he called The Pumpkin Plan on his own company. He says it “transformed it into a remarkable, multimillion-dollar industry leader.

And I’m sure you’d like to know what the Pumpkin Plan is? Mike outlined it this way:

  • Plant the right seeds: Don’t waste time doing a bunch of different things just to please your customers. Instead, identify the thing you do better than anyone else and focus all of your attention, money, and time on figuring out how to grow your company doing it.
  • Weed out the losers: In a pumpkin patch small, rotten pumpkins stunt the growth of the robust, healthy ones. The same is true of customers. Figure out which customers add the most value and provide the best opportunities for sustained growth. Then ditch the worst of the worst.
  • Nurture the winners: Once you figure out who your best customers are, blow their minds with care. Discover their unfulfilled needs, innovate to make their wishes come true, and overdeliver on every single promise.

As you can see, it’s basically three parts.

Mike’s book, describes it this way in the title to his book: “The Pumpkin Plan: A Simple Strategy to Grow a Remarkable Business in Any Field.” I like that clever “in any field” part.

But here’s the thing. There are plenty of steps to make those parts seem that easy. The steps I call “Frontloading.” And I show you how to do that, and a whole lot more, in MY RondaReady Business book.

In my book, you get the full System to set up and run your own business, better and faster. But you can just sit up, day and night, like Linus waiting for your Great Pumpkin to show up.

First, invest in your own copy of the RondaReady System book, today. Then, take the steps I show you. Learn to automate and delegate. And discover how you’ll be able to run of business instead of it running you. Because you’ll BE the Great Pumpkin.

Wimbledon 2024 shows you what not to be

A friend of mine enjoys tennis. And I’ll bet he’s tuned in to Wimbledon 2024 that’s going on for the first couple of weeks in July. But he enjoys talking about the “good ol’ days” of tennis that included Jimmy Connors, John McEnroe, Chris Evert, and Martina Navratilova. So, not sure how this year stacks up.

As for me, Wimbledon 2024 is more of the same.

Just a little, yellow tennis ball getting smacked back and forth over and over. It’s not that I don’t appreciate the athletic skill it takes to play tennis well. But, c’mon. You watch a shot of the crowd as they’re watching the game, and their heads look like they’re all saying “no” at the same time.

I know how running a business can feel like a tennis match. Sometimes you feel like you’re getting smacked back and forth just like that little, yellow ball. Right? Maybe it’s your schedule, or your to-do list, or your clients. Whatever it is, it doesn’t feel good does it? Wouldn’t you like to change that? If so, I feel your pain.

Yeah, I’ve “been there and done that.”

But I’ve worked with scores of clients. And I developed a way to help define, plan, and implement a personalized system. So, I think I can help you overcome that out-of-control feeling. Imagine this.

Pretend you’re a star player at Wimbledon 2024. And let’s say you’re known for your powerful serve. You’ve practiced and played hard your whole life to be here in this moment.

So, here you are. On the grassy stage known, all around the world, as Wimbledon. It’s famous. One of the top tennis arenas.

Now, you toss your first ball into the air and lift the racquet to swing into the serve. Aaannnd, stop action!

Let’s zoom into that shot a lot more closely. Zoom in. And just a little more. That’s it. A cropped shot of just the ball and the racquet.

OK, which one do you think is about to feel the impact more?

The racquet? Or the ball?

Yeah, that’s right. The ball is about to get smacked through the air at about 140 miles per hour. And that’s a whole lotta impact.

But that’s not the end of it. Because it’ll fly through the air, over a net, bounce on the ground, and get smacked again by another racquet. And that poor, little ball will be totally at the mercy of the racquets.

Now, here’s where my business analogy comes in…

Don’t be that ball. Be the racquet. Because the racquet controls the impact, pace, and direction. And that’s where you want and need to be as you run your business. And if you don’t run your business, you might end up with it running YOU.

I believe I can help you build your business better so you feel more like the tennis racquet and less like the tennis ball. And the help I offer is in my RondaReady System book. That’s where you’ll find the same system I’ve taught my clients and helped them build up 6 and 7 figures businesses. I’d love to help you reach those kinds of goals, too. Get your book at the link below.
