A couple of sisters decided to open a new cupcake bake shop. What could go wrong? I mean cupcakes. Sisters. What kind of bakers wouldn’t want a delightful cupcake business? And everything was great. For about a month. And then the cupcake recipes started to get, let’s say, a little dry.
Not the actual cupcake recipes.
Because the actual cupcake recipes helped them produce some delicious delights. But their bake shop didn’t pull in enough people to pay the bills. And that meant there sure wouldn’t be any money left over for the sisters. Yeah, disaster hit hard. So, the sisters had to deal with business failure AND unmet expectations.
Frustration led to harsh words. Harsh words led to hurt feelings. And hurt feelings led to a damaged relationship, more losses, and the business failure I just mentioned..
In my RondaReady Business System I talk about this. And how it happens a lot. Because too many business owners and entrepreneurs hire people based on feelings, not facts.
That doesn’t mean you should never hire a relative. Or your best friend. But the best idea is to define what jobs are needed. Then, clearly define the tasks and responsibilities for those positions. So YOU know what’s what first.
And then go find the right talent for the positions.
This is true for just about any business owner.
I remember a client of mine who had to deal with the pain of hiring the wrong person for a particular job. Because his business needed a certain skillset for that job. But he hired someone based on feelings instead of needs. It didn’t go well. So, he had to let that person go. And I hope you never have to go through that. Because it’s never any fun.
And think of all the lost time, resources, and money spent on the wrong person. But I’m here to tell you there’s a better way. And that you CAN avoid that problem.
The RondaReady Business System has helped lots of other entrepreneurs, like you, successfully set up job criteria. Then, they were able to establish better hiring policies and procedures. And plenty of them have told me what a relief it is to know what’s what way before someone even applies for a job.
I walk business owners and entrepreneurs through the whole setup in my business system book. You need to know, up front, I don’t include any cupcake recipes. But it IS like a recipe book for how to RUN a successful business.
So, invest in your own copy of the RondaReady System book, today. And it can help you bake some automation and delegation into your business you AND your customers and clients will appreciate. Get yours today, and…
