Warren Buffett is one of the richest people on the planet. And yet he’s frugal. With a capital FRU. His habits might make you rethink your whole concept of everything you need. Here’s a snippet of what I read about Mr. Buffett. Remember, he’s a billionaire.
“Buffett saves money any way he can. On his way to the office, he stops at McDonald’s for breakfast and has one of his three favorites: two sausage patties; a sausage, egg and cheese; or a bacon, egg and cheese.” And I don’t know about you, but I’m getting a little bit hungry just thinking about all that.
But Warren’s frugal ways are way more than breakfast. The snippet I read continued with this:
“Buffett’s simple choices don’t end with food. He has been living in the $31,500 house he bought in 1958. He still drives the hail-damaged Cadillac he bought in 2014. Before that, he drove an 8-year-old Cadillac. When he decides it’s time for a new car, he auctions off the old one for charity.”
Wow! Still think everything you need includes big house and car payments?
Finally, Mr. Buffett owns his frugal habits. He knows there are some who even make fun of him for saving money when he has so much of it. But I love his response to that. At an annual Berkshire Hathaway shareholder’s meeting, he said:
“My life couldn’t be happier. In fact, it’d be worse if I had six or eight houses. So, I have everything I need to have, and I don’t need any more.”
Of course, you could dismiss what Warren says by saying something like, “Well, that’s easy for him to say. He’s got billions.”
But I think he understands that those billions aren’t necessary for everything you actually need. Sure, it’s better to have too much than not enough. But Mr. Buffett understands the value of keeping life in perspective. And needs are NOT the same as wants and desires.
Just in case you haven’t reached that place where you have everything you need, I produced the RondaReady System to help you help you build a business. Matter of fact, I put that System into a book.
And, yes, it’s available on Amazon.
It’s a small investment compared to what my one-on-one clients have paid me. Especially when you consider how it can pay for itself over and over. It can even help you reach the wants and desires stage in your life. But only when you stick to the System like Warren Buffett did to reach his level of success.
When you’re ready to do that, use this link to get yourself a copy on Amazon. I don’t guarantee your success. Because I don’t know how committed you are. But if Mr. Buffett’s habits have inspired you to make some changes, go get the RondaReady System book, today!
