Recently, some of my friends (who’ve lived longer than me) were talking and laughing about an old cartoon. And they said how much they loved watching it on Saturday mornings when they were kids. It was the Roadrunner and Coyote cartoon from Looney Tunes. And they said part of the reason it was so funny was how the coyote would never give up. No matter what crazy things happened to him.
And if you watch an episode of that cartoon, you’ll see a lot of crazy things do happen to Wile E. Coyote.
He gets blown up. Over and over. And he runs into solid rock. Over and over. Then, he falls off gigantic cliffs into the dust below. Over and over. But nothing sways Mr. Coyote off his course. Talk about focus. I mean, c’mon. How long would you keep going if you missed your goal every. single. time?
Yeah, if you’re like most people, you’d quit after one bomb blew up in your face.
And you’d practically despise anyone who told you to never give up.
Right?
And maybe you’d be justified. Because nobody wants to lose literally all the time. You can only come back from those challenges if someone is animating you to come back. Like Wile E.
But here in the real world, thankfully, you don’t have to endure endless setbacks. And you don’t have to wait for anyone to re-draw you back the way you were. Because here in the real world, you WILL catch your “roadrunner” if you never give up.
All you gotta do is stay the course.
But what course? And is it the same course for everyone? Hardly. No, you’re not exactly like anyone else in the world. So, why would you ever believe someone else’s course or path or choices would fit you?
In fact, they most likely won’t. So, you’ve gotta figure out who you are, what you’ll do, and why it matters. And it DOES matter. Because there are people in the world who need what you can share. And your way of sharing.
So, whether you’re starting out or starting over, it’s crucial to get a handle on who you are and what you’ll do. And then it’s crucial to set up a System to help you get there.
System Think and avoid bombs blowing up in your face.
Or, at the very least, you’ll be able to endure one or two bombs and then avoid them from then on.
And I have a solution to get you there. RondaReady YOUniversity. And the link to learn more and enroll (for way less than the cost of one month’s rent in a dormitory) is below. It’s time to catch your roadrunner.
