Opening scene fades in with the camera circling around a dark, shadowy figure. He’s standing over a seriously wounded guy on the ground. With a gun pointed at the wounded guy he says, “Sure. You think you did the right thing because you think you did it for love. But the truth of the matter is…this is business, kid.” He pulls the trigger. And the scene goes black.
I know you’ve probably seen a movie or two like that. Right? And, in a roundabout way, it reminds me of a young woman, I know, who was living what appeared to be an awesome life. Newly married. Successful business couple. Things were great. And she just knew it was the “right life” because she put her heart full of love into it.
But shadows stepped in, knocked her down, and said “This is business, kid.”
Three kids came along. And the loving husband and father turned to drugs. And this young woman found herself in a whole different life than she could have ever imagined. Suddenly she had to pick up the slack and be sort of a double parent while juggling all the responsibilities of the business by herself.
Of course, it was too much for one person. So, this young woman had to sell her business and find work in the corporate world. And, oh yeah, deal with a divorce and all the headaches of that mess.
Fortunately, she landed a job that paid enough to take care of her family. And employers liked her and appreciated her organizational skills. So, she moved up. But this all started to take a toll on her family life. And she stressed over how she was missing out on watching her kids grow up. In fact, she realized she spent more time with colleagues than with her kids.
But rather than break down under the stress, she used it as a motivation tool.
And after seeing how her “system” helped her employers, she decided to look for a better opportunity. That’s when she became a partner in a small business. And she saw how unpredictable their lead generation and profits were. So, she decided to make an intense study of the industry. Before long, she mastered all the technical details of the business.
And she totally immersed herself in the finer points of formal training, coaching, and implementation. And that’s when she discovered how to build business better.
One thing led to another. And it all lead to an increased overall production of 82% over the next 6 years. Gross annual profits increased from $310,000 to $1.7M in 4 years. The business opened second and third divisions. And in 3 years those divisions earned over $4M. So, news of those successes got around. And the young woman was approached by several small business owners and entrepreneurs.
They wanted to know her “business secrets”.
So, she started taking on clients. But it was with the stipulation that they were willing to do what it takes to be true business owners and create business profits.
Since then, that young woman (who’s not as young as she once was) has helped scores of clients realize and expand their business owner dreams. And in case you haven’t guessed…she’s ME. And I can confidently say it’s my RondaReady system that has made all the difference for those clients.
