Believe it or not, some people don’t want to run a business. In fact, they don’t want to ever be in charge of that kind of responsibility. Is that YOU? If so, when you’re ready to go out to find work, you might appreciate some job interview tips.
And the internet has no shortage of job interview tips.
I found some I’ll share. And I’ll show you how they’re very similar to business building tips.
One website emphasized “Practice and Prepare.” And they laid it out like this…
“Review the typical job interview questions employers ask and practice your answers. Strong answers are specific but concise, with concrete examples that highlight your skills and back up your resume.”
And they added…
“Your answers should also emphasize the skills that are most important to the employer and relevant to the position. Be sure to review the job listing, make a list of the requirements, and match them to your experience.”
Then, they inserted this note…
“Even the most well-prepared response will fall short if it does not answer the exact question you are being asked. While it’s important to familiarize yourself with the best answers, it’s equally important to listen carefully during your interview. That way, your response will provide the interviewer with the information they are looking for.”
And they added one more valuable suggestion…
“Also, have a list of your own questions to ask the employer ready. In almost every interview, you’ll be asked if you have any questions for the interviewer. It is important to have at least one or two questions prepared in order to demonstrate your interest in the organization. Otherwise, you might come across as apathetic, which is a major turnoff for hiring managers.
So, the “practice and prepare” part is sorta like the Get Ready stage I talk about in my RondaReady System. Because whether you want to run a business or get the best possible job, you gotta Get Ready for it. On purpose.
The article said you need to be prepared to highlight your skills. And I emphasize that in RondaReady YOUniversity. Because it’s crucial to Be Ready with the real skills you need out there in the real world.
And when I saw that one of the job interview tips talked about how you need to listen, I thought of the communication tools I talk about in my System.
I could go on and on. But I’d love to do that with you on a phone call. That way we can see how RondaReady YOUniversity could help you prepare to get a job OR run a business. Click or tap the link below, and book a free call with me soon.
