Did you watch the Mad Men series? If so, you probably remember Peggy Olsen. She started out as the secretary to Don Draper. That was before the term “personal assistants” was used. Anyway, he was a big-time ad exec at the fictional Sterling-Cooper ad agency. Peggy overdelivered when it came to working for Don. And she worked her way up the copywriting ladder. And she even got to pitch famous clients.
Pretty cool story.
Bond movies fans already know one of the most famous personal assistants.
Yeah, Miss Moneypenny. Right?
She’s the one James Bond flirts with but nothing ever goes further than flirting. And Miss Moneypenny is the personal assistant to M, Mister Bond’s boss, so to speak. So, she has to handle herself in some very intense situations. Of course, she does that with poise and personality.
OK, those quick snapshots bring me to my question.
Have you ever hired personal assistants? Can you even afford one? In another post, a while back, I talked about getting a personal assistant for your brain. And I showed how important contact relationship management is to your business. And your sanity.
Because your life is full of things you gotta do. Or things you’re gonna do. Right? Yeah, here in America, business owners certainly deal with high stress almost every day.
So, why make it harder on yourself by trying to remember everything? As I always tell my one-on-one clients, “Your brain is too valuable to use as a storage drive.” Or something to that effect.
And why would you want to focus on phone numbers, passwords, contact addresses, and so many more day-to-day details? Especially when you can get a personal assistant to remember those things so you can focus on creating and building your business.
Think you can’t afford to hire an assistant?
Well, who said anything about hiring? I recommend starting smaller. With an assistant you probably have with you right now. In fact, according to a lot of statistics, you might be using your assistant to read this right now.
Yeah, you probably already guessed. I’m talking about your phone. It’s an amazing organizational tool when you set it up to work for you. Let it remember everything you need to document. And you DO know you should document all your business activities. Right? Another thing I always tell my clients…”If it’s not documented, it didn’t happen.”
And besides taking simple notes, get your phone to add an action plan. You know, the follow up.
What you’re gonna do next. And no personal assistants to pay.
But maybe this is starting to sound a little more involved.
Well, it IS. But that’s why I built my RondaReady System so that every contact has its own notes section. It’s like putting your personal assistant on steroids. But with only positive, business building side effects.
And get this. My system makes it super simple with voice-to-text recognition. Yeah, you can dictate your notes on the fly. And your 24/7 assistant files it away where you can get to it anytime you need or want.
No worries about employee sick days or call-ins. And no complaints about too much work or not enough pay.
Some people call that optimum business efficiency. I call it RondaReady.
And the best way to be RondaReady is with something I call the RondaReady Business Hub. It includes the system I’ve used to help tons of business owners and entrepreneurs reach their dreams and goals a lot faster.
And here’s the coolest part.
It’s totally repeatable for your business, too. How do I know? Because, as I said, I’ve seen it work for a whole lot of clients over the years. It has stood the test of time.
