Yeah, it’s a silly play on the 80’s song by R.E.M. But somehow it seems appropriate. Because here we are at the end of the year as we know it. And just about everybody I talk to, or read on social media, seems to be glad 2020 is almost gone. No sad good-byes. Just good riddance. Have you noticed that?
But even the end of the year, for 2020, is still an opportunity.
At least for anyone who’s interested in looking for (and at) solutions. And I believe that’s always important. Because I dare you to find a year in your life when you don’t or won’t have any problems. If you live in the real world, you’re gonna experience real problems.
So, in that way, 2020 was no different than any other year in history.
And, like I said, another way it’s no different is how the end of the year is an opportunity. For your vision. And for your focus.
As I mentioned yesterday (if you’re keeping track), a lot of people…including business owners and entrepreneurs…just sort of let this last week of the year pass. And they figure everyone else is doing the same thing. And that’s your opportunity.
Because you can almost magically change this last week into the first week of your new year. And it only takes a mindset change and a few minutes of your day.
You might have noticed, on your computer or smartphone, how your calendar app scrolls through the months like all the days are seamlessly connected. And that’s pretty cool, because all your days ARE seamlessly connected. Even those two days that end one year and start another.
So, get your mind set on how you can be seamless, too.
Connect your vision from this year with your focus on the new year. Or even adjust your vision and focus if necessary. Because this year might have thrown you some curves that require adjustments. But either way, take time to write it down these last few days of 2020.
And then set up action steps. Because plans without action are just ideas. And even the best ideas go nowhere without action.
By the way…my RondaReady system can help you get it all organized. From vision to action. And so much faster than you trying to do it all from scratch. Sure, it takes work. But there’s no time like the start of a new year to get started.
So, Get Ready to Be Ready and be the highly organized CEO of your business.
