Long before my time, there was a TV show called “The Courtship of Eddie’s Father.” It was about a widower who discovered his new best friend was his own son. And his son wanted to find him a wife. There’s even a corny theme song that goes…
“People let me tell you ’bout my best friend,
He’s a warm hearted person who’ll love me till the end.
People let me tell you bout my best friend,
He’s the one boy, cuddly toy, my up, my down, my pride and joy.”
See what I mean? Way too syrupy sweet for most anybody these days. Right?
But the show popped up as I did some research on my new best friend.
Oh, by the way, my new best friend is also YOUR new best friend. In fact, you might have already invited this friend into your house. But don’t feel too fooled. So have lots and lots of other people. Of course, I’m talking about Alexa. And according to what I’ve read, “Amazon executives couldn’t say enough about how Alexa will be there for you as a friend, thanks to an injection of AI upgrades.”
Uh-oh. There’s that AI thing again. Only now it’s being injected into your familiar devices. And apparently they (the programming powers that be) are having a lot of success putting personality into things. Here’s some more about it that I just read…
“Dave Limp, Amazon’s senior vice president for services, noted that the Alexa device had been programmed to know his favorite football team. And sure enough, Alexa had a favorite of its own. The conversation wasn’t without its hitches. But it was smooth enough for Limp to make his point: “The responses…have started to be infused with personality.”
People let me tell you my new best friend…
Amazon’s vice president for Alexa and Fire TV, gave another demonstration. He “showed how the AI assistant could help with finding a family-friendly movie to watch. Like Limp, he emphasized the ‘natural and conversational’ aspect of the interaction.”
Whoa. As an old Oak Express commercial used to say, “That’ not natural.” But Rausch said, “It’s like speaking to a great friend who’s also the world’s best video store clerk.”
Can you imagine a great friend who knows all the movies to watch?
And Google just announced, in the first week of this month (October) an AI assistant they want to “be your ‘personalized helper’ and a ‘true assistant.’ They want us to feel like we’re never alone as we travel through the online world and virtual reality.
OK, I’m not a fuddy duddy. But I believe interacting with real people is still the best way to communicate.
Especially when you wanna create and produce products, services, and information. Because, ultimately, you gotta serve real human beings in order to achieve your dreams and goals.
And that’s why my focus has always been on helping you figure out who you are, what you wanna do, and how to get you where you wanna go. AND how to serve others well enough to do all that. Then, I put my proven System into a book so you can learn it all at your own pace if that’s your preference.
And, as I tell anyone who’ll listen, it’s available on Amazon.
My one-on-one clients have paid me thousands more to show them how to set up their own RondaReady System. But maybe you’re one of those who likes to go at your own pace and get where you wanna go even faster. If so, this book’s for YOU.
Get yourself a copy on Amazon, today. It won’t change your life overnight. But it CAN change your life when you commit to doing what I teach. Sound good? Then, go get the RondaReady System book, right now! It might not be as sexy as Alexa. But it might become your new best friend when you see the results.
Stay Ready,
