Robert Collier was one of the original self-help and success authors. He worked on some book ideas, day and night for a long time. And his persistence paid off. Because within six months after the books were published, he received more than one million dollars worth of orders for them. And I like this quote from him that says, “Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day-in and day-out.”
See that? Small efforts. Every day.
Everywhere you look, people wanna find the shortcut to success. Why figure out how to run a business when you can just start a wildly successful YouTube or Instagram channel? Ha! That makes me think of a video interview I just watched where a young guy said we should stop all farming.
Sure, he had his “reasons.” But they were hardly based in reality.
And the reality is that shortcuts to real success are just those small daily efforts. Because humans need to work. YOU need something to occupy your brain and keep you focused and interested.
And guess what? That’s what WORK does. Yes, work. Those “small efforts, repeated day-in and day out.”
Now, think about this. Have you ever had a day when you didn’t have something to do? Yes? And wasn’t it boring? You bet. So, you figured out something to do, even if it wasn’t productive. And you DID it. Then, at the very least, you weren’t bored.
Am I ringin’ any bells?
So, you gotta make the decision to be successful. Then, you can find the right projects, or products, or services, or information to work on. And you can start those small efforts and keep doing them until they produce bigger and bigger results. Then, one day, you’ll discover you’re successful.
But you gotta focus. And you gotta know who you are. And what you want. Because how can you get where you wanna go if you don’t even know where that is? Here’s another quote from Robert Collier I like,
“One might as well try to ride two horses moving in different directions, as to try to maintain in equal force two opposing or contradictory sets of desires.”
That’s a great analogy. Because your ideas can be powerful. Just as two horses are very powerful. But you can’t pursue two powerful ideas at the same time any more than you could ride two powerful horses in two different directions at the same time.
Maybe it’s not as social media cool as Instagram. Or as glorious as winning the Powerball. But when you build your success from a dream to a vision to a success, there’s nothing like it. AND, it’s yours. You built it. You own it.
And nobody can ever take that away.
But these are things they don’t teach you in college. And they don’t even teach you how to RUN a successful business in business school. But there IS one “school” where you can learn to focus your dream into a vision. And you can turn that vision into a business. And you can learn to RUN that business the right way. The systematic way.
And here’s the best news. The “school” I’m talking about, RondaReady YOUniversity, can pay for itself over and over and over. You won’t just learn how to get a job, like you would in college. And you won’t have student loans to pay for over the next 10 to 20 years. Far from it. In fact, when you implement the YOUniversity training, your sales and profits will pay for it. Easily.
If you’d rather invest in your future AND discover how to turn your dreams into a successful business, you should call. This is one of those small efforts I mentioned. Start now. Pick a time, below, to book a call with me. Let’s talk soon.
Stay Ready,
