You know how sometimes something online just catches your eye? And how you gotta go check it out. Yeah, all the time, right? That happened to me this weekend. And it was a story of a 79 year old bodybuilder. No, that’s not a typo.

Bodybuilder business builder

Ernestine Shepherd is a bodybuilder.

And she’s also a personal trainer, and a professional model. Whew! That’s one busy lady. And on her website, she says she’s “more fulfilled than she’s ever been in her life.” Who doesn’t wanna be able to say that when they’re 79? Right?

I enjoyed reading how Ernestine achieved the title of “World’s Oldest Performing Female Bodybuilder in Rome, Italy. And that’s according to the Guinness World Records. So, it must be true.

And I found it fascinating to read how she went from being basically a 56 year old couch potato to holding that amazing world record.

She said her inspiration started when she and her sister went shopping for bathing suits. And they laughed at each other when they saw how out of shape they looked. So, they started working out together.

But not long after they started her sister, Velvet, died from a brain aneurysm. And Ernestine lost her motivation to go to the gym. But fortunately, with the help of a friend, she worked through that and started exercising again.

Fast forward a little bit and you see how Ernestine decided to help and inspire other “senior citizens” to get in better shape. And her life’s to-do list pumped up almost as much as her muscles.

So, she had to learn to control her much busier schedule and lifestyle. And she’s up at 4 a.m. to run 10 miles. She maintains a regimen for conditioning. And she has to keep track of her nutrition, which includes her seven small, balanced meals each day.

She takes no medications.

And she’s able to enjoy life more than most people many years younger than her. Because she also gets plenty of rest, keeps a positive attitude, and thinks of her life as a long, happy journey.

Side note: she says she has the full support of her husband of 52 years. And I’ve talked about that before when I asked “who’s in your lifeboat with you?”

Now, I don’t personally know Ernestine. But I can almost guarantee you one thing about her.

She doesn’t enjoy all that success in her life accidentally.

No, she worked out a system. And she works the system. So, she’s a senior bodybuilder whose inspiration will never get old.

If you wanna give yourself (and your business) the best shot possible at the kind of life, my RondaReady system can help you do it better and faster.

So, be the highly organized CEO of your business. And book a free 30 minute call with me. And together we’ll see if my system is right for you. Because I truly do wanna help you…

Not enough time? Maybe you need a rocketship.

“But Ronda, I there’s just not enough time in my day to put all that together.”

And I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard that when talking with clients and potential clients. So, I’d like to share a little something that should completely clear up any and all notions about time. This comes from Albert Einstein, so it’s relatively accurate. (See what I did there?)

Not enough time? Maybe you need a rocketship.

Maybe there’s not enough time for some and enough for others?

Einstein talked about the “dilation of time.” And that brought up something called a “clock paradox.” Without getting too technical, it goes like this.

It starts with twins. One of them is hypothetical astronaut. And he goes on a long voyage through space. Traveling at almost the speed of light. His twin is just a regular guy. And he’s got a business to run. So, he stays here on Earth. Now, according to the theory Einstein talked about, the astronaut returns home to discover he’s way younger than his twin brother. Because, according to the theory, traveling almost the speed of light, slows down time.

And for every year the astronaut experienced…his twin brother experienced ten.

How do these scientists come up with this stuff? Wow!

But the theory doesn’t stop there.

Because Einstein said there’s no “preferred frame of reference” while traveling at the speed of light. So, it’s kinda like you could also say the astronaut was the one not moving. And instead it was like the Earth flew away from the space ship, at the speed of light, and then back again. Then, that would mean the astronaut would age much faster than his twin brother on Earth.

Yeah, the dilation of time depends on your perspective. So, that clears it all up. Right?

Of course, I’m kidding. Because, for one thing…no one is able to travel at the speed of light. And we live in the real world. And in the real world, you and I have exactly the same 24 hours of time to travel through each and every day.

But what separates the successful from the not-so-successful is schedule control. Successful business owners take control of their schedule. And the not-so-successful ones spend way too much time trying to manage their time better.

My RondaReady system has all the tools you need to take back control of your time. But it’s not for business owners who don’t think they have enough time to set up a system. If that’s you, it could be not only a waste of your time…but also your money.

But if you’re really ready to be the highly organized CEO of your business, book a free 30 minute call with me. And together we’ll see if my system is right for you. Because I truly do wanna help you…

Would you rather have a magic stopwatch?

If you’ve never seen any episodes of the old TV series, Twilight Zone, do yourself a favor and check ’em out. The show ran from late 1959 to around June of 1964. And I only bring it up because of an episode I remembered yesterday. Of course, I was too young to see the original shows. But one of the reruns was an interesting take on making time stand still. In Twilight circles it’s known as the stopwatch episode.

Would you rather have a magic stopwatch?

All you need is the right stopwatch and some ingenious ideas.

The main character, in the Twilight Zone episode I’m talking about, was known as Mcnulte. And he’s one of those guys nobody likes but nobody actually hates either. You know the kind. Everybody knows who he is. But most of them wish they didn’t have to talk to him. Because he’s a big idea guy with no follow through.

Well, anyway…McNulte has a particularly bad day. And he finishes it out by sitting at a table with a guy who gives him a stopwatch. But as he quickly finds out, this is no ordinary watch. Because with a click of button McNulte can stop time for everybody but him.

Now, I’m sure I don’t have to tell you what a great advantage it would be to stop time. Right?

And so Mcnulte thought, too.

In fact, he thinks it’s such a big deal, he tries to get his former boss to hire him back because of his new super power. But he gets the boot. And he finally decides to use his magic watch to rob a bank. Yeah, totally makes sense, right? If no one wants your big ideas, your next best bet is to rob a bank.

Well, Mcnulte goes to the bank, stops everyone in their tracks, gets in the vault, and loads a cart with moolah. It’s all going according to plan. He even stops at one guy’s desk and grabs one of his big, Cuban cigars. But then, as he’s backing the cart through one of the office gates, he drops the stopwatch.

And guess what happened.

Oh yeah, you’re ahead of me. It broke. And he couldn’t get it to work no matter how hard he tried.

The rest of the episode deals with Mcnulte going to all his usual hangouts in hopes somebody, somewhere, would be able to move. And talk to him. But there was no one. And he finally runs out yelling for someone, anyone, to “Say something! Help!” Then, you hear the voice of Rod Serling, the show’s creator, narrate the ending with…

“Mr. Patrick Thomas McNulte, who had a gift of time. He used it, and he misused it. Now, he’s just been handed the bill. Tonight’s tale of Motion and Mcnulte. In the Twilight Zone.”

OK, maybe there’s a lesson in there for you. But the main thing I want to share is how you don’t have to stop time in order to manage it. You couldn’t anyway. Because this isn’t the Twilight Zone. It’s real life. But you CAN leverage time. And that’s a much better way to get your business in a “Zone” most business owners will never reach.

If you feel like time management is one of your biggest problems, I bet it’s not. And my RondaReady system can show you how your problem is almost surely something else altogether.

If that sounds like something you’d wanna know more about, book a free 30 minute call with me. And together let’s see if my system is right for you. Because I truly do wanna help you…

Selfish ambition. Or is it?

“You’re full of selfish ambition” she said with a snarl. Like it’s a bad thing. But is it?

Selfish ambition. Or is it?

Your selfish ambition can hold you back or propel you forward.

First, let me ask you this. If you think selfish ambition is a bad thing, why? What makes you come to that conclusion? Is it because you believe ambition leads to bad things? If so, are you reading this on a computer or a smartphone? Do you like your computer or your smartphone? Don’t they make your life a whole lot easier in so many ways? And did you know that somewhere, sometime…someone had enough ambition to actually invent your computer or smartphone? So, was that a bad thing?

OK, maybe you don’t like the phrase because it contains the word, “selfish.”

If so, let’s look at that a little closer.

When you get up in the morning, you put clothes on somebody, make breakfast for somebody, brush somebody’s teeth, and take somebody to work. And every day it’s that same “somebody.” Right? It’s your self.

And when you pick a treat or a movie or a tasty beverage to consume, 9 out of 10 times your first thought is whether or not you’ll like it your…self. But is that being selfish? Yes!

And no.

Because it really comes down to motives.

And I can’t look inside your heart and know what drives you and your actions.

But I can tell you it’s OK to be selfish.  After all you gotta love yourself to take care of yourself. And that’s far from being selfish the way everybody thinks of being selfish. Wow, I can’t believe how many times I’m saying that word.

So, what’s my point? Oh yeah, guess what WOULD be selfish. You holding yourself back from being all you can and should be. And you holding your business back from being all it can and should be. Especially when my RondaReady business coach business management system can help you to better help those you serve. See how it all ties together? And what could possibly be selfish about that?

So, when you’re really ready to be the highly organized CEO of your business, book a free 30 minute call with me. And together we’ll see if my system is right for you. Because I truly do wanna help you…

Rome was not built in a day. And your Rome won't be either.

I bet when John Heywood never dreamed he’d have any influence over you. And me. Especially since he was a playwright and author. Not a business person. But he wrote a phrase I’ve even used in my Business System book. And I know you’ve heard it. Or let’s say, if you haven’t, I gotta wonder where you’ve been. Does this sound familiar? Rome was not built in a day.

Yeah, back in 1538, John Heywood included “Rome was not built in a day” in his “Proverbs.”

And he included that phrase as an example of how it takes time to build something great.

When I was writing the book for my RondaReady Business Management System, I remember one section in particular where there’s a lot to do. And I even said,
“WHEW!! So much to consider all the time… And here’s the thing. Just like you, I have to keep reminding myself, Rome wasn’t built in a day. Little by little it gets done. Most successful people will agree. One of the habits that helped them achieve their level of success was to focus on how they were going to feel when they accomplish their goals. And not on what it was going to take to get them done.”

Your Rome might not be some empire you’ve dreamed up for yourself. And maybe you just wanna work from home so you can raise your kids. (That was my motivation for building my Rome.)

Or maybe you DO wanna be a world changer.

Either way, it’s all gonna be a lot smoother for you if and when you build a solid, repeatable system for getting things done. And you CAN grow to whatever level you prefer. And you WILL enjoy your life so much more. But here’s an idea you should consider.

Skip over all the time it takes to build your system.

Yeah, skip it.

“And how do I do that? you ask.

Plug into an existing system that’s solid, reliable, repeatable, and has lots and lots of business owner success stories.

And just in case you haven’t already guessed, my RondaReady business coach business management system is exactly that system. But it doesn’t have a snowball’s chance in Arizona of working if you don’t plug in and implement.

Let me toss out some other John Heywood “proverbs”. How about this one? “Out of sight out of mind.” Yeah, just a reminder you gotta keep your business in the minds of your customers or clients. And how about “Better late than never?” Your best time to get a system set up is years ago. But your second best time is now.

Remember this one?

“Many hands make light work.” And if you’re not in a position to hire other actual hands, your system can be an awesome substitute. Because you can automate a lot of details and day-to-day tasks.

And you’ll be amazed at how many of those details and day-to-day tasks are already set up and ready for you in the RondaReady System. But you still gotta plug in your business. But remember…

Rome was not built in a day.

So, when you’re really ready to be the highly organized CEO of your business, book a free 30 minute call with me. And together we’ll see if my system is right for you. Because I truly do wanna help you…

All is right in the world. Unless you live in the real world.

Ah, the sun is shining. And the birds are singing. And all is right in the world. But suddenly (or so it seems) there’s a tear in the fabric of your life. And you’ve got to get it mended. And I mean soon. Like yesterday. Or the day before. So, who you gonna call?

Someone I know just recently had a serious tear in the fabric of her life. She and her husband found out he has stage 2 colon cancer. And I’m sure I don’t have to tell you what the word “cancer” can do to your frame of mind. At least…if you let it. And my friend and her husband are definitely NOT the kind to let that happen. So, the first thing they did, after discussing options with their doctor, was to call their most trusted friends and family members.

Because they knew they’re gonna need well thought out support. Not just somebody’s version of a WebMD article. Thankfully, I can’t even imagine having to face those cancer questions. But I DO know a little something about plenty of other life issues. And I’m sure you do, too. Right?

All is right in the world. Unless you live in the real world.

So, when all is not right in the world, you call everybody you know. Right?

Of course, that sounds silly even just saying it out loud. And who would ever do that? No, when something bad happens, you know who you’re gonna call. And you know you only have a few dependable choices. Because they’re the ones who’ll keep their heads. And they’ll help you calm down so you can keep yours. And it’s probably because they have the experience and/or know-how to truly help.

Their best help will be to keep you focused on solutions. And when a serious problem pops up, you need solutions. Not more angles and perspectives on the problem.

All of what I’ve been talking about could be applied to your business, too. And it’s just as important to know who you can trust to help you focus on solutions. And just like in your personal life, that’s not everybody.

But, sadly, too many business owners panic when something goes wrong. And they start looking for some internet guru who has “the answer.” Trouble is…thousands of them have “the answer”….to their own problem. But they’re almost clueless when it comes to you and yours.

And how could it be otherwise?

After all…they don’t know you. So, the best they can do is to tell you what has worked for them. “Over and over.” But the trouble with that is, another expert might tell you the exact opposite.

So…what’s a frustrated and scared business owner to do?

Make sure you have a system in place to help you over the bumps. And out of the ditches. And I’ll let you in on a little secret. It doesn’t have to be my RondaReady business coach business management system. But there is a HUGE advantage when you plug into my system. And that HUGE advantage is ME.

One of my very happy clients once said, “If you don’t have a Ronda, you need to get one.” And my system includes your very own R.O.N.D.A. Your very own Responsive Organized Nonstop Digital Assistant.

So, check out my tons of information here on the website. Watch the testimonial videos. And when you’re really ready to be the highly organized CEO of your business, jump into the RondaReady System. Because I truly do wanna help you…

Hot air balloons, meteorology, a mission, and YOU

We just had a hot air balloon festival near where I live. And it reminded me of a movie I saw that was based on James Glassier, a British astronomer and meteorologist. And, by all accounts, he was extremely focused on weather. So much that he took to the skies in hot air balloons. And he insisted on taking heavy scientific instruments with him on those flights. Because he wanted to use them to complete his observations such as measuring the chemical composition of the air and its temperature and pressure.

Hot air balloons, meteorology, a mission, and YOU

There’s even a movie about Glaisher, hot air balloons, and a world record.

If you haven’t seen “The Aeronauts” I recommend it. And before you do, you should know it’s a made up version of what really happened. Because the movie has Glaisher and a woman named Amelia Wren making the flight. But the real flight included Henry Tracey Coxwell as co-pilot. And I guess the moviemakers changed it to add romance and more thrills.

Either way you look at it, the flight they took broke the world record for altitude back on September 5, 1862. 158 years ago.

But one thing that really stood out, in the movie, was how focused James Glaisher was on getting his instruments into the upper atmosphere. He had theories about how to predict the weather. And it became like an obsessive mission for him. He wouldn’t let anything or anyone stand in the way of his progress.

And you know what, that’s the key to success.

You gotta have a mission.

But where do you start? And what do you do once you figure out your mission? Gosh, if there were only some way…a system…you could follow to help you get there faster. Wouldn’t that be great? Because it sure would save a lot of time and headaches of trying to start from scratch. Right? Oh wait…

My RondaReady business coach business management system has that. Wow, can’t believe I didn’t already think of that. Because I love helping go-getters and risk takers set up and pursue their mission. Not to mention vision and values…although I just did.

So, are you ready to focus like ol’ James Glaisher, the Aeronaut? And are you ready to stop blowing up hot air balloons? Then you’re really ready to be the highly organized CEO of your business and jump into the RondaReady System. Because I truly do wanna help you…

Stay Ready,

Remember everything because it’s so easy to do.

The other day I was driving to one of my client meetings. And an old tune was rolling around in my head. I could hum parts of it. But I just couldn’t think of what the song was. And it started bugging me. Because I knew I loved the song. But I just couldn’t place it. And that was so frustrating because I remember everything.

Remember everything because it’s so easy to do.

“Stop the tape! Did she just say she can remember everything?!”

Yeah, you caught that didn’t you.

And if you’ve been following me for even a short while, or if you know me, you know I’m always telling you NOT to use your brain for a hard drive.

And not being able to remember a favorite song is the perfect example of why I say that. Because if you can’t remember something you love, how are you gonna remember all the boring day-to-day things you gotta do in your business?

Short answer…you’re not. No way.

So stop trying. Why put yourself through all that when some simple business tools can do it for you?

A friend of mine, who’s a songwriter, told me he makes sure his phone is with him no matter where he goes. Because he’s always coming up with ideas for lyrics. And song titles. And even art to go with his songs. But without a way to capture all those great ideas, a lot of them can vanish into thin air.

So, when he gets an idea, he whips out his iPhone and tells it to take a note. And then he dictates his note, and his trusty digital secretary writes it down for him.

Imagine something like that for your business.

But instead of just taking a note, you can set up an action step (and even a series of action steps) for your system to automatically do for you. Of course, you could keep doing it by hand. Because maybe that feels safe. And no learning curve.

But “safe” doesn’t tend to build successful businesses.

So, imagine setting your whole business up on a system like that. Where anyone in your company (even a twelve year old kid) could tap in to it and get up to speed in hardly any time at all. And without you having to personally be involved.

If you’re a diligent, hands-on hard worker, you can build a system like that. But if you’d rather skip that HUGE learning curve and all the time it takes to set it up, get my RondaReady business coach business management system. Lots of other business owners have already plugged into it.

And most are amazed at the difference it’s made in their lives.

So, if you’re really ready to be the highly organized CEO of your business, jump into the RondaReady System. Because I truly do wanna help you…

Two will get you Thirty and it’s completely legal

Recently I watched an old movie where they used that betting expression, “five’ll get you ten.” And when they say that, it means if you put down five bucks, it’s a pretty sure bet you’ll double your money. But that’s only money. I’ve got a bet you can make where two will get you thirty. Interested?

When two hours will get you thirty hours savings, take the bet.

And this betting is completely legal in all 50 states. Because (hint) it’s not actually betting. It’s an investment of your time. A surefire investment. With a HUGE return.

So, how would you like to collapse time?

And how would you like to spend 2 hours working ON your business to save over 25-30 hours a year working IN your business. Sound like a good trade?

Or would you rather just keep doing the same thing. Spending more time in the day-to-day details. And not progressing?

It’s up to you. Two hours to save Thirty. And, like I said, it’s a sure bet.

My RondaReady business coach business management system has already saved a lot of businesses a lot of time. So much time, in fact, that my clients have said things like:

”I’ve got so much more time for myself.”

”Just can’t tell you how much it’s changed my life.”

“ I can grow my business and still have a life beyond business.”

“Thank you for teaching me the importance of balancing my work with the things I enjoy outside of my business. Now that I am keeping a better balance, I am happier overall and it’s having a great impact on my business and personal life.”

“My business no longer consumes me.”

Two will get you Thirty and it’s completely legal

You deserve a break today. Well, if you’ve earned it.

You deserve a break today. Just as much as any big shot CEO of any Fortune 500 company. But you might not be able to take one. Because you might have a business that’ll cave in on itself if you’re not there every minute of every day. And I gotta tell you, if that’s you, that’s a crock that needs a Kroc.

Of course, when I say you deserve a break today, I think of McDonald’s.

Because long before “I’m lovin’ it” was their branding music, the deserve a break song was in all their commercials. And Ray Kroc was still the main man for the McDonald’s corporation.

Check out some of these policies Mr. Kroc had for the Micky D restaurants.

They established locations only in suburban areas. Not in downtowns. Because poor people might eat in them after the main business hours were over.

And restaurants had to be properly sanitized at all times. Plus, the staff had to be clean, properly groomed, and polite to children.

The food in every restaurant had to be standardized content and they weren’t allowed to deviate from specifications in any way.

Also…They weren’t allowed to waste anything. In fact, every condiment container had to be scraped completely clean. And no cigarette machines or pinball games were allowed.

Mr. Kroc standardized all operations.

Because he wanted every burger to taste the same in every restaurant. So, franchisees had to follow policies for portion sizes, cooking methods and times, and packaging.

Mr. Kroc refused to cut costs with things like soybean filler in the hamburger patties. And every restaurant had to follow strict customer service standards. Like refunds to customers whose orders weren’t correct. Or if they had to wait more than five minutes for their food.

And because Mr. Kroc established a system he could replicate over and over, McDonald’s became the most successful fast food corporation in the world. And Ray built up a personal fortune of over a half billion dollars before he died.

So, I shared all that with you because I want you to see the power of having a proven system for your business. And even though my RondaReady business coach business management system doesn’t power a worldwide fast food chain, it could.

And it can certainly help you build your empire.

So, when you’re really ready to be the highly organized CEO of your business, jump into the RondaReady System. Because I truly do wanna help you…
