Keep the fun in fundamentals

I’ve talked about this before. But, of course, the fundamentals don’t change. That’s why I know it’s important to keep the fun in fundamentals. Because if your business or dream isn’t enjoyable (at least most of the time), then why do it?

A lot of people have a lot of fun watching sports. They’re glued to the TV or radio every game day. And they even enjoy watching or listening to the coaches and players being interviewed after the game. But have you ever noticed how often a coach mentions the fundamentals after a loss.

Yeah, the interviewer says, “Coach, seems like this was a tough loss. Where do you go from here?”

And the coach replies, “Well, I believe it boils down to one thing. We really need to get back to the fundamentals.” He’s right. Right?

Same is true for the business fundamentals.

But I say, “Let’s keep the fun in fundamentals.”

Athletes have to develop and master skills and set and reach goals. And that’s hard work. But do you think you’ll find many who say they don’t enjoy the game AND the hard work? Not likely. Especially when it pays so well.

Business owners have to do that, too. Because the mastered skills and achieved goals can lead to profits and prosperity.

But what if you’re not a skilled business owner with lots of achieved goals?

A quarterback can throw an interception that can lead to losing the whole game. Baseball pitchers can lose their jobs just because they don’t pitch enough strikes. And sometimes businesses suffer and fail because the owner didn’t master the fundamentals.

But athletes have a distinct advantage over business owners. Because, from an early age, they’re taught the fundamentals of the game by their parents, or friends, and eventually coaches.

But who taught you the fundamentals of running a successful, sustainable business as you were growing up? And I’m talking about a successful, sustainable business you can enjoy and benefit from for years. Maybe even a lifetime. And a business that doesn’t run you into the ground from sheer exhaustion. It’s sort of like the athlete who stops having fun playing the game they always loved.

I hope that’s not you.

Because there ARE coaches and tools to help you reach the top of your game. And the right system can help you master your business.

As it just so happens, I know of a system like that. In fact, it’s the one System in the world that has the “secret weapon” no other system has. Me.

I’ve helped other business owners and entrepreneurs, like you, master their skills and achieve their goals. And I’ve seen the awesome financial benefit they’ve enjoyed. And I’ve heard their testimonials on how the RondaReady System helped them keep the fun in fundamentals.

It’s worked so well for business owners that I’ve created a course to help teenagers who are about to journey out into the real world. Click the link below to get on my email list. Because you’ll be one of the first to know when RondaReady YOUniversity launches. Could be this week, so click or tap that link.

Yearly income is so much better than nearly income

OK, I gotta know. What’s your yearly income? And I’ll need your credit card info, too. Just kidding, of course. Well, I DO want you to consider how much you make or want to make this year.

Because right now is a great time to plan your yearly income.

If you’re fairly new at this business owner stuff, that might seem like a question you can’t answer. And maybe you can’t answer it specifically. But you CAN plan it.

I always encourage you to “write it down”. And that should include your income goals. Because they’re a huge part of your roadmap to success. Even if you don’t know exactly how much you’re gonna make this year, right now is the optimum time to figure out how much you wanna make.

And that’s a goal.

And when you set up the goals for your income, you can start to figure out what you gotta do to get there. So, what’s your “number?”

I’ve helped clients, for years, figure out how to figure out that income “number.” And I’ve seen them go from startups to high five figure income businesses. And I’ve seen other business owners go from 5 figures to 6 figures incomes and from 6 figures to 7 figures incomes.

Whew! That’s a lot of figures.

There’s a whole section, for it, in my RondaReady System. A System where you can discover how goals written down tend to become achieved goals.

In the RondaReady System, you follow a simple formula. It can help you set up your projections. Because the formula talks about gross, net, expenses, and profit margins. And it includes a key component you don’t wanna overlook. But too many new business owners DO overlook it.

As I’ve said before…It’s not rocket science. But there IS an art and science to it.

My 7 figure clients use the RondaReady System to run productive businesses and lives. And now I’m launching RondaReady YOUniversity to help teenagers, starting out in life, do that too. Because wouldn’t it be better to start out knowing who and what you wanna be and where you wanna go? And how much you wanna make? And the best ways to get there?

Well, I certainly believe it would be better. And parents of teenagers about to leave the nest have almost unanimously agreed with me.

So, RondaReady YOUniversity will be available very soon. This week if there are no setbacks. Be sure to get on my email list, if you’re not there already. And watch for YOUniversity enrollment links.

The link to get the free emails is below.

Real world skills beat philosophy any day

Barring any unforeseen earth-shattering news, I’m officially launching RondaReady YOUniversity later this week. It’s an essential course that gives teens real world skills they never learned in school. And I know that’s a bold statement. But I’m confident it’s true.

Because real world skills just aren’t being taught in school.

And the real world requires skills beyond knowing how to take a selfie and publishing it on Instagram. Or a video and posting it on Tik Tok.

I have nothing against digital photography or videography. In fact, I believe those could be awesome building blocks for a business these days. But being a business owner or entrepreneur goes way beyond how creative you are.

Yep, a teenager, just starting out in the (free) world, has a lot of options. College. Business school. Trade school. Art school. Etc, etc, etc. But all those schools teach you ABOUT subjects. Not HOW to apply what you learn to real life.

Imagine starting your life, the first day after high school graduation, with a clear picture…a clear vision of who you are and where you wanna go. Most teenagers don’t have even that. Now imagine having a System to help you prepare to own and operate a business, if that’s your dream. Or be able to move through the ranks of cutting edge businesses, if that’s what you prefer.

Yeah, most teenagers don’t know the first place to start to get that clear vision.

Just think what an advantage it would be if teenagers, just starting out in the real world, had a System to help them control their schedule. And a plan, so they could be the best possible version of themselves. Wouldn’t that be so much better than just tossing the dice on something like a six-figure college education where they come out with more questions than answers?

RondaReady YOUniversity is where teenagers should go to learn how to System Think. Because System Thinking is the way they can transform their gifts and talents into real world skills.

And those SKILLS can transform into lifelong success.

Some people describe this kind of teaching as “life hacks.” Ambitious teenagers all over the America are adopting the same RondaReady life hacks my 7 figure clients use to run highly productive lives.

If you have teenagers just about to go out into the real world, you should check out YOUniversity.

It’s SO much less than “traditional schools.” In fact, probably less than just the tuition for one year (maybe even one semester) of college.

And the return on investment could be a lifetime of dramatically increased earning potential.

Be sure you’re on my RondaReady email subscriber list. Because you’ll be one of the first to know when enrollment is open for YOUniversity. Your link is below.

Stay Ready,
Ronda

Do not take notes even though they're great

Check out this quote from Richard Branson. “I go through dozens of notebooks every year and write down everything that occurs to me each day, an idea not written down is an idea lost. When inspiration calls, you’ve got to capture it.” Wow, he’s a very successful guy. And after reading that, my advice to you is Do Not Take Notes.

And I emphasized Do Not Take Notes for the sake of your memory.

But did you catch my drift?

There’s a world of difference between taking notes and writing down your thoughts and ideas. Can you see how they’re different?

Yeah, when you take notes, you write down information someone else is sharing. And research says you won’t absorb as much of that information. Instead, listen closely. And focus.

But when you write down what’s in YOUR head, you can compile a list of ideas. Then, you can refer back to them and implement the best ones.

If you run a business, or you’re a busy entrepreneur, you probably already know you just can’t remember everything. Sure, it might be in your personality to wanna try. But I encourage you to skip that notion. Because I know, from experience, when you write it down, you’re much less likely to forget or let your ideas fade away.

Even though you have good intentions, day-to-day tasks pile up. And you get too busy. Too tired. And when you least expect it, you put things off till tomorrow. Sound familiar?

So, what’s the solution?

Make a list that includes only the steps, activities, or tasks that get you closer to your goals. You can accomplish more. And you’ll stay on track with that kind of a list.

Take the boring time (as less successful people like to call it) to write down your ideas. And don’t be surprised to find yourself more focused on what’s truly important to you. It’s not magic. But it works like magic. Because you don’t depend on your brain to remember it all. I like to think of it this way. Your brain is for creating…not storage.

My RondaReady System can help with all that storage stuff.

It’s a proven system with places you can write down your great ideas, delegate tasks, automate actions, and build your business better and faster.

And this first week in 2022 is a great time to get started. Your links are waiting for you below.

All hands on deck and stop drillin' matey!

We’re getting Ready to finish out the first week of 2022. And I bet it’s been all hands on deck so far. Right? Because you want this new year to start off on a go-get-em pace. Makes sense. Especially since we’re dealing with all these extra challenges nowadays.

But here’s on of my absolute favorite quotes about all hands on deck…

“Make sure everyone in your boat is rowing and not drilling holes when you’re not looking.”

I wish I knew who said it first. But that doesn’t keep it from being one of my favorite quotes. If you know me, you might have heard me say it before. And there can be many times when owning a business can feel like rowing upstream. You’ve felt that, right? When that happens, you sure don’t need more headaches like someone drilling figurative holes in your boat.

And the worst drillers are the doubters. Ew…the doubters.

This all came up in my mind as I thought about one of my client meetings from a couple of years ago. The business owner’s wife didn’t understand his passion for building his business. And that nearly crippled his productivity and success. Because his attention was divided. He had to explain his efforts to her. And still find and make time to focus on day-to-day business chores. His wife doubted.

But you’re always gonna have doubters.

Sure as a day is 24 hours long. Or is it really 24 hours long? Could it be 23 hours long and we’ve just been told it’s 24 by unseen forces? Yeah, that’s how doubters try to sneak into your brain.

So, here’s what you do. Tell your doubters to go doubt themselves. Because you’ve got work to do. And you don’t need someone telling you all the reasons they don’t believe you can reach your goals.

Starting your own business took courage. And that means you’ve absolutely gotta get people around you who will support you.

They don’t have to be a carbon copy of you. But they DO need the skills and willingness to stick by you through thick and thin. And be there to listen and encourage. NOT doubt.

Because doubters don’t see that your business is a part of you. And they tend to go along with your idea as long as the going is easy. But they forget about the old saying, “When the going gets tough, the tough get going.”

They just wanna let go.

That’s part of why it’s so important to build your business to be more independent and self sufficient. So it won’t consume you and your time. It’ll only consume the doubters. And with a proven system you can build your business better and faster. And that means you’ll have more time with those closest to you.

I don’t doubt it a bit. Your links to get the proven RondaReady System are below.

Factoids for fun or maybe even some profits

Today I’m gonna share some factoids for fun. I love that word. Factoids. It even sounds fun. Right? But since this is the first Wednesday (as I share this) of 2022, I’ll ease up on you a little and keep things lighter.

Speaking of Wednesday, check out these factoids for fun about this day…

  • Today is the 16th day of Winter, but…
  • There are only 74 days left till spring.
  • This is the 5th day of the year.
  • There are 360 days left in 2022.
  • If today is your birthday, your birthstone is Garnet
  • It’s the 1st Wednesday of 2022 (as I already mentioned), BUT…
  • Today is actually in the 2nd week of 2022 (Do you know why?)

And for a little more mind-numbing fun, did you know this? Today is also National Bird Day and National Screenwriters Day. So, two feathers in this cap (figure that one out). Plus, January 5th is the last day of Twelvetide. Can you say, “So long and farewell Christmas.” (by the way, there are only 239 days till the so-called “buying season” aka 4th quarter begins)

Here’s the joke of the day for January 5th. Why was the baby strawberry crying? Because its parents were in a jam. (Can I get a rimshot, please?)

Back in 2004, on January 5th, Ray Davies of The Kinks was shot in the leg. But get this. It was because he chased down two men who grabbed his girlfriend’s purse. And he sang about it, in 2018. It’s the subject of his song, “The Big Guy.”

Sharing these factoids IS fun.

But, if you’ve followed me for a while, you probably know I’ve got an ulterior motive. And that’s OK. It’s not sinister or anything like that. I just look for ways to entertain and educate. And in this case, I’ve shared a bunch of factoids for fun because they all came from calendars you can find online.

So, you might be thinking, “Uh, who cares, Ronda?”

Well, I believe you should care. Because life is based on calendars. So is business. No way around it. And it’s so important, I have a whole section, in my RondaReady System, on how to make the best use of a calendar for business.

And here’s one more factoid for fun. Business owners and entrepreneurs who set up and persistently use business calendars are far more likely to succeed. The evidence is everywhere.

But just having a cool calendar app isn’t the answer. Because success comes from knowing how to make the absolute best use of it. If only there was someone who could help you with that.

Oh yeah. That’s me!

And calendar help is just a fraction of all the help you’ll get in my System. Choose from a monthly plan. Or go all in on the annual plan. Your links are below.

Day number 365 and 2021 is in the books

Here it is. Day number 365 in the year that was 2021. And that means this is the last time I’ll talk to you this week, this month, and this year.

Day number 365 also means something else pretty big.

Tomorrow is day number 1 of 2022.

And the fact that it’s the very first day of the year is probably why so many people start out with new resolutions on that day. Seems sensible. Right? Yeah, start something new at the very beginning.

OK, it’s sensible to start out the new year with new resolutions. So, why can’t more people stick with those resolutions? Well, if you’ve followed me a while, you know I have an opinion about that. And you know I’m gonna share that opinion with you. But I believe my opinion stands firmly on solid evidence.

Here’s a list of some of the most common new year resolutions. See if you can figure out what problem they all have in common…

  • Lose weight (yeah, that’s a big one…no pun intended)
  • Save money
  • Stop smoking
  • Start a new hobby
  • Break away from online distractions
  • Spend more time with family
  • Volunteer more
  • Sleep more
  • Travel more

Do you see the problem with that list?

For the sake of time, I won’t wait for your answer. I’ll just let you know how all those resolutions are vague. And blurry. And vague and blurry is a recipe for failure. Because if you can’t specifically define something, then you can’t create a vision of it in your head. And, like the old quote says, “Without vision, the people perish.”

Or at least your new year’s resolutions perish.

So, how do you get more specific? DON’T resolve to lose more weight. DO resolve to lose 20 pounds. Better yet, DO resolve to establish better eating habits and move around more…every day.

And DON’T resolve to save money. DO set up a budget, figure out how and where to apply your money, and determine how much you can pay into your own account.

DON’T say you wanna volunteer more or sleep more, or travel more. And DO figure out the best use of your time each day so you know when and how often you can volunteer. Plus, figure out where that will be. And put it on the calendar where you can see it every day. And guess what calendaring will do for you?

Well, I won’t make you guess.

When you write it down on a calendar, you have a MUCH better chance of getting it done. Because seeing it in black and white (or whatever colors you prefer) makes it REAL. And R.E.A.L. stands for Really Enjoy A Life.

Who couldn’t really enjoy a life where things get done? Where dreams come true. Not fairy tale dreams. Grownup dreams. Of resolutions made AND kept.

That’s exactly why I started my business. And it’s exactly why I’ve been working to help as many other business owners and entrepreneurs as possible to make their grownup dreams come true, too.

My RondaReady System has already helped scores of them turn 5 figure incomes into 6 figures. And 6 figure incomes into 7 figures. If you plan to resolve a new start for your business at the beginning of the new year that starts tomorrow, get my System.

It’s not guaranteed to work for everyone. Because not everyone will work it. But for people who can commit to specific resolutions (is that YOU?), the RondaReady System can be a game changer.

Make day number 365 of this year be the start of a much better, successful next year. Your link is below.

Year end is here. And it's a good place to start.

I probably don’t have to tell you. But there are tons of year end sales, reviews, and other deals all over the internet right now. Businesses and business owners wanna get merchandise out the door. And they wanna make room for newer stuff coming in. It happens every year. And they know you and I (because we’re human like everybody else) are still in the buying mood after the Christmas rush.

But during the year end sales you can really feel things coming down to the wire.

If you’re a sports fan, you’ve probably heard that phrase a lot of times. They use it in basketball games, football games, track and field, and more. But by most guesses, “down to the wire” actually started with horse racing. And probably at least as far back as 1889.

Way back when, they actually used a wire to determine the winner of a close horse race.

And I read an article in a publication called Scribner’s Magazine that described a close horse race like this: “As the end of the stand was reached Timarch worked up to Petrel, and the two raced down to the wire, cheered on by the applause of the spectators.”

(Feel free to use that little tidbit of information at your New Year’s Eve party. You’ll be a big hit.)

But that brings me back to the year end stuff.

Your business is like a horse in a race. And that race is coming down to the wire for 2021. Did you give your horse the best chance to cross the finish line first? Or is it time for another jockey?

Well, 2022 will be here faster than you can yell, “Kentucky Derby!” There’s no getting around it.

And something else is coming down to the wire, too.

You only have a couple more days to make purchases that you can count toward tax write-offs for this year.

Maybe you’ve been riding the fence (instead of the fastest horse) about setting up a business system. The right System to help you build your business better and faster. And the System you can plug your business into instead of starting from scratch. If so, now’s the time to settle down and jockey up.

Yeah, I admit it. It’s my year end sales pitch. But I truly believe I can help you Get Ready and Be Ready to organized, systemize, and monetize more. The link to the RondaReady System is below.

And I’d love to help you…

Stay Ready,

Neglected neighborhood or shiny showstopper?

First it was a neglected neighborhood. But then, about 89 years ago, in 1932, a snazzy new entertainment venue opened. Thousands of people attended the opening ceremonies. And since then over 300 million people have enjoyed the shows there. You’d have to say that it’s been a pretty successful venture. Well, you don’t have to. But I’ll say it. And did you know this?

Radio City Music Hall sprouted up out of that neglected neighborhood?

Maybe you’ve heard of billionaire, John D. Rockefeller. Well, he decided to build his Rockefeller Complex in a neglected neighborhood (to say the least) in midtown Manhattan. At least it was neglected at the time. And Mr. Rockefeller partnered with Radio Corporation of America.

Maybe you’ve heard of them, too. Or maybe you’ve heard of their initials RCA.

Mr. Rockefeller and his RCA partners hired a guy named Donald Deskey to design the building. And Mr. Deskey came up with a really cool Art Deco idea. He used some shiny (and versatile) materials from that time period. And the theme for it all was “Progress of Man.”

The huge main stage was designed like the setting sun. And they even installed hydraulic powered elevators for staging effects. And those are still being used today. Pretty cool, right?

But maybe none of this means anything to you.

Or maybe your business feels like that neglected neighborhood.

If so, wouldn’t you prefer to have a business that feels more like the dazzling Radio City Music Hall? Full of energy. And products and services. Where visitors line up to come in.

I designed my RondaReady System for business owners who wanna rekindle their original vision but need help remembering how. You can get it back. And you don’t have to be a billionaire. But it IS an investment. And you DO have to work it.

Good news is, I’ve set up the design with all the hydraulic powered elevators in place. All you gotta do is get ready, and I’ll help you…

Stay Ready,
Ronda

Wake up call: Your bad habits don't lead to good places

Don’t wait for a drastic wake up call to get moving. And yes, this is me talking to ME, too. Because nobody’s immune to bad habits.

But bad habits can lead to that eye-opening wake up call.

Did you see the movie, Britney Runs A Marathon? In that movie the main character discovered she’d been living a lie. That lie was about how she looked. And she got a serious wake up call.

She decided, after her doctor warned her about her health, that she wasn’t gonna continue to be unhappy with herself. She had to admit to herself that she hadn’t been following her passion. And she also had to admit she’d been a coward for a long time. And that led to her path of self-destructive behavior.

But, like the cowardly lion in the Wizard of Oz movie, Britney found courage. And success.

But her success didn’t happen overnight.

Britney decided to run the New York City Marathon. So, she put on some exercise clothes and went out to the street in front of her apartment building. But then she looked down the block and it seemed humongous. Of course, her first instinct was to go back in. But, instead of giving in to that overwhelming feeling, she said to herself,

“Just one block.”

And with that simple three word statement, she took off around the block. And it took her over 2 years to be ready to run the New York City Marathon. With some huge physical and emotional setbacks along the way.

There was also a scene where her brother-in-law told her she needed to learn how to “let people in” and “let others help.” Because she lashed out at people all the time. Almost like an automatic response.

I won’t tell you more, in case you want to watch it.

But as I watched the movie, I thought of how most business owners are Britneys. Cowardly lions who somehow find the courage to start a business. But often losing courage along the way. Not letting people in, people who can help. And too often they forget to focus on “just one block.”

Is that you? If so, my RondaReady System already includes all the blocks. I don’t want you to wait anymore to be happy. Make 2022 the year you get the help you and your business need. Because, with help, you can achieve your dream much better and faster.

I truly DO want to help you run your marathon (aka: your business). So, if you’re Ready to turn bad habits into success habits, click that link below. Get your RondaReady System, and…
