Business processes are only for successful people

Business processes are so boring. Who needs ’em? I mean, come on. As long as you can build a big Instagram or Tik Tok account with lots of followers, why get caught up in the boring stuff.

And you sure don’t need business processes with social media. Right?

Well, I guess that depends on what you consider business processes to be.

I read an article that defined ’em as “a series of steps performed by a group of stakeholders to achieve a concrete goal.” Yeah, that sounds about right. That article also said, “Each step in a business process denotes a task that is assigned to a participant. It is the fundamental building block for several related ideas such as business process management, process automation, etc.”

Sounds a little stuffy to me. But it’s an accurate description.

That article also shared a lot more information about the importance of business processes and why you should have them in place. Then they shared some examples.

I’m not gonna share their examples because they don’t necessarily apply to you and the rest of the people I work with. But they talked about a lot of the same things I just shared with my UNversity class this month.

Speaking of UNversity…

If you didn’t sign up by January 31st, you weren’t in the class. And it was today. Because it’s the first Thursday of every month.

And if you didn’t get the class, you missed out on some mighty important stuff. Because in that class, I showed  HOW to set up processes and procedures. I didn’t just talk about WHAT they are. And when you know just that one thing, how to set up business processes, it can help you easily afford my monthly UNversity class.

So, since I just finished this month’s class, it’s on my mind to share the link where you can enroll and be in next month’s class. And it’s gonna be about something that can help you save $16000 a year. Give or take. At least that’s what one of my clients did when she used what I’ll be sharing with my class.

But like every month, the deadline to enroll for March’s class will be the last day of this month. And February is a short month. So you have less than four weeks to enroll.

Ironically (or coincidentally) the class in March is about something that could help you not forget deadlines. And a lot more. So, if big business savings and not forgetting stuff sounds appealing, click or tap that link below.

Day after tomorrow is about how to avoid disaster

The Day After Tomorrow is a 2004 American science fiction disaster film. And it’s based on the 1999 book, “The Coming Global Superstorm,” by Art Bell and Whitley Strieber. I only know those names because I looked it up. And I wanna share some thoughts about the movie because it connects with something else I’ve been sharing.

The Day After Tomorrow is all about some catastrophic climatic effects.

A scientist, in the movie (played by Dennis Quaid) discovers what he calls a “disruption of the North Atlantic Ocean circulation.” Sounds pretty serious, right? And, in the movie, that disruption sets off what they call “a series of extreme weather events.” And that leads to global cooling to the point everything basically freezes over.

For a disaster movie, it did pretty well at the box office. And by Hollywood standards, it was called a “major commercial success.” And I read how it was the sixth highest-grossing film of 2004. Not bad, considering how many movies are made every year.

They filmed the movie in Canada, in Toronto and Montreal. And according to the info I read, it’s the highest-grossing film ever made in Canada. Wow. Who knew?

But you might be wondering how any of that connects with something else I’ve been sharing.

Simple. For the past week or so I’ve been talking about my upcoming UNversity class. Each class is on the first Thursday of the month. And the first Thursday of February 2022 is this Thursday. And, I know you’re jumping ahead of me, but, this Thursday is the day after tomorrow.

So, today is February 1st. And that means if you didn’t enroll by midnight last night, you won’t be in this month’s class. Which is too bad. Because I think it’s one of the most important classes I’ve created for my students. It’s a How-To class for setting up processes and procedures.

Without those, your business could suffer catastrophic climactic effects.

And your business could basically freeze over.

I’m not making predictions, mind you. But I DO know processes and procedures can help you avoid disaster. And that’s a good thing. Because you certainly don’t want your business to be disrupted out of circulation.

Enroll in UNversity, right now while it’s fresh in your mind. And you’ll be way ahead of all that when next month’s class rolls around. In the meantime…

Stay Ready,
Ronda

So boring making more money. Said no one ever.

I watched a video called “Funniest Flight Attendant Ever.” And it was pretty hilarious. They managed to put a funny spin on something that frequent fliers tend to ignore because it’s so boring. In fact, you might not even remember what flight attendants said before the plane took off.

The mention where to put your luggage. And they point out where the exits are. And they tell you what to do, in the event of an emergency, when the air masks drop. Plus, they show you what you’re supposed to do if you have kids? That’s right. Put your mask on first. Then, you can put your kids’ masks on.

And of course, that’s because if you faint, due to lack of oxygen, you’re not gonna be able to help anybody. Much less your children.

Now, what’s so boring about that? I mean, it’s pretty important. Right?

After all, it could mean the difference between life and death.

But, you might ask, “Ronda, you’re a business coach? What’s that got to do with business?”

Simple. You’ve got to get your own business in order before you can take care of any customers or clients.

And you’re probably not gonna be able to help them if your business is on life support.

And by that I mean you don’t have a system for keeping track. No automation or delegation. And no processes in place for follow-ups, referrals, or repeat business. Organizing and systematizing your business comes first. Then, you can take on customers and serve them properly.

Good news is…it’s not nearly as hard as it sounds.

And it can go so much faster when you plug you and your business into a system that’s already proven to work wonders. The RondaReady System is your best choice. Because it has something no other system in the world has.

Me! I love to help go-getters succeed. But maybe you’re still on the fence about investing in a proven System. Or maybe you’re just starting out and can’t afford a premium System.

In that case, I’ve got a great alternative solution to help you get going. And it’s the RondaReady UNversity monthly classes. Each month I share a real How-To lesson with my class. And those lessons are on the first Thursday of each month. So, that means another lesson is coming up in less than a week.

Yep. February’s UNversity class is next Thursday, on the 3rd. And that lesson will be one of the most important ones I’ve shared. Because it’s about Processes and Procedures. And how having them in place can save you a ton of time and help you make more money.

Plus, you can enroll for about the cost of one loop around your favorite dinner drive-thru. But the “beef” you’ll get in my UNversity classes can help you afford lots of trips to your favorite restaurant. Click or tap that link.

Stay Ready,
Ronda

Love your business a lot more when this happens

Do you love your business? I can definitely say I love my business. And I’ve loved it for the whole time I’ve been at it. Because it has so many advantages over a J.O.B. Not the least of which was how my business allowed me to work from home and spend tons more valuable time with my kids.

And if you don’t love your business, maybe it’s actually something else.

But I get it. There probably are business owners who’ve reached the end of the road with their business. And they can’t wait to sell it or dump it. But I believe most business owners who feel like they hate their businesses have other issues. And I think a lot of it is trying to figure out how to organize and keep track of things like…

  • Attracting the right talent for your team
  • Buying and selling
  • Landing the right customers/clients
  • Hiring and firing

Of course, those aren’t the only potential issues. But you probably didn’t think as much about those challenges when you first dreamed of owning a business.

And you probably didn’t focus on the potential problems of cashflow issues, cybersecurity, accounting, bookkeeping, and collections either. But whether you like ’em or not, those boring details are the nuts and bolts that hold things together.

But what holds the nuts and bolts in place?

Your processes and procedures.

And you set those up with the best System you can develop or find.

And here’s the good news! You’ve found it. RondaReady is the only place with a round-the-clock business coach and CRM in one system. And you don’t get just any johnny-come-lately coach. You get ME. And my years of successful clients.

The RondaReady System isn’t one of those pdf printout thingies. It’s not a system you can download for $47 and read in 10 minutes and then ignore for the rest of your life. Because I developed a System business owners and entrepreneurs can plug into and actually build a business, faster, from the ground up.

But you don’t have to dive right into the more expensive RondaReady System. In fact, you can dip your toes into my ongoing training when you enroll in RondaReady UNversity. It’s a $15 monthly class where I give you how-to lessons. And the next class is coming up a week from today. February 3, 2022. It’s a class dedicated to those processes and procedures I mentioned.

Don’t miss it. Because it’s one of the most important lessons to show you how much better and faster you can Systemize your business and serve your clients, customers, and patients. They’ll love you for it. And you’ll love your business a lot more when that happens.

Click the link below and I’ll see you in class.

Mass marketing isn't that massive after all

Whether you like her or not, you gotta hand it to Taylor Swift. With her talent for writing songs people wanna hear, and her mass marketing team, she’s sold a bunch of records. According to some stats I’ve seen, she’s sold over 200 million. But here’s a stat you won’t see.

Even with mass marketing, most of the world doesn’t buy her records.

In fact, even if you add up all her sales, over 97% of the world’s population are still Taylorless.

So, what does that tell you? Should Ms Swift ramp up her efforts and put out even more mass marketing? After all, that 97% is a mighty big number to just ignore. So, should she try to reach ’em all?

Your answer should be, “No.”

Because you can’t (and shouldn’t) market to everyone. That’s like marketing to no one. Why? Because no matter how awesome you are, your market isn’t everyone. And there are too many kinds of people out there. And apparently not even Taylor Swift can appeal to everyone. Impossible as that might sound to you.

So, what Taylor did to achieve massive appeal (and yes 1 million is a massive appeal even though it’s a tiny fraction of Earth’s population) was simple. She created her product, music. And she found her market. And then she set up her production and publicity system to serve that market well.

Now she’s got a team. And she’s done an impressive job of branding. You can see, from the songs she sings to the colors she chooses, who her market is. And she has processes and procedures in place to keep it all ticking along like a fine, Swift…uh, Swiss watch.

And that’s how you serve a targeted market well.

But you DO have to be organized. Because you wanna track results. You wanna know your numbers. Know what’s working. And what isn’t.

When you get a handle on your numbers, you can target new leads so much better. And do a better job for your current customers and clients. Don’t ever forget them. Because they can be the best source for repeat and referral business. And certainly the most cost effective kind.

OK, I know it can seem very complicated and involved to get those kinds of processes and procedures in place. And that’s because it is. To begin with.

You do have to invest some time (or hire someone and use their time) to set up that kind of system. But what’s so cool is that after you set it up, it can deliver awesome results like clockwork.

For as long as you own your business.

And that’s why I’ll be talking about the whole processes and procedures part of it in next month’s UNversity class. It’s coming next week, on the first Thursday of the month, which is February 3rd. And it’s a how-to class to help you set things up for your business.

I don’t promise Taylor Swift results or numbers. In fact, your results will depend on how well you implement. Remember, you don’t need mass marketing. Just your own targeted market. This class is taylor-made (oops, I mean tailor-made) to help you get going. The link to the $15 monthly classes is below.

Fear of failure can be awesome. Use it wisely grasshopper.

A lot of people talk about the fear of failure as if it were a bad thing. But I don’t see it that way. Because fear can be an awesome motivator. And failure is when you stop. Not when you stumble.

Claudia, a client of mine, wasn’t sure what to expect when she first started working with me. Because, as she put it, she was “always too busy thinking about just getting things done both with my business and personal life.” And so she was “unable to cope with other things to put into my schedule.”

She also said she was “afraid of losing what I already had going on.”

But once we started digging in, she said, “I was enlightened in ways that I did not imagine.” And she added, “everything that Ronda taught me gave me a different perspective.” So, now she’s “better able to manage my time to fit the activities in that mean the most to grow my business and my personal development.”

I love it when I see someone go from a fearful, apprehensive perspective to a one of confidence. Like when Claudia said, “I look forward to being even more of an asset to my business but even more to myself!”

Fear of failure can take you to the dark side. But only if you let it.

And by dark side I mean when you let that fear drive your thoughts and actions. Like when you think you have to be perfect. Or you believe your mistakes might cause someone stress. Or that it’s all your fault.

If you have symptoms like shame, low self-confidence, negative self-talk, or always seeking approval, you’ve gone to the dark side of the fear of failure.

But, like I said, your fear can (and should) be a motivator. And you can do by following the advice of a friend of mine. He says, “Speak your words on the positive side of the equation.”

He explains it like this. You can either say, “I don’t wanna fail.” OR “I wanna succeed.”

See how one sounds weak and the other sounds strong?

When you know you don’t wanna fail, so you talk about success, you discover solutions.

Because solutions drive success.

And when that happens, you build better and faster. That’s why I developed my RondaReady System years ago. To help business owners and entrepreneurs plug into a proven system so they could build their businesses (and pursue their dreams) much better and faster.

I’ve seen business owners plug into the RondaReady System and go from 5 figures incomes to 6 figures. And then go from 6 figures businesses to 7 figures.

But those were the business owners who understand how crucial it is to systemize your business. If that’s you, and you’re tired of trying to figure out to get going, then it’s time to get RondaReady. Especially if you’d rather invest in your business than swim in details up to your nose. Your handy link is below.

Make today count. For the future AND today.

There’s an old Stevie Wonder song where he sings, “I love you more today than yesterday…but not as much as tomorrow?” And without actually saying it, he says make today count. Because his words are based in the present.

And I like the song because it has obvious goals built in. He’s telling someone that he’s working toward loving them more every day. But he’s not waiting till some time in the future to get started.

No, he realizes he’s gotta make today count.

And that’s how you reach your goals.

But what if you set goals and then you fall short? What if your intentions didn’t meet your expectations? Especially as you hold yourself accountable to be better today than yesterday.

Well, I believe it’s important to use the right measuring tool.

In his book “The Power Of Intention“, talked about how to be “better today than I used to be.” Notice the noun. I. Not he. Or she. Or they. And that’s the right measuring tool. Right?

You wanna make sure you’re not as productive and successful as you could or should be?

Then, by all means, look for more successful people to compare yourself to.

And here’s the problem.

Depending on where you look, you can ALWAYS find someone who’s achieved more. You can also find others who achieve less. Either one can give you a false sense of security.

So your answer isn’t on the outside. Of course, you can certainly look to others to help motivate you beyond where you are. But YOUR true measure of success is YOU. Are you better today than yesterday?

You might amaze yourself when you just work a daily routine toward your goals. Make sure you have a system to help you do that.

And by the way…in case you haven’t noticed before, my RondaReady System has the tools to help you put it all in place. But it’s expensive if you’re not Ready to commit to working it. If that’s the case, at least get my free emails. Click or tap the link below. And I’ll keep sending you tips and information to help you

Getting ready is as easy as A, B, C, and 1,2,3

I know I talk a lot about getting ready and staying ready. It’s even in my branding. And a version of it is almost always the last thing I say in each of my posts. But it’s because I believe there’s nothing more important for business owners to understand. Business is not for the weak and unprepared.

So, allow time for getting ready.

Because getting ready is just a matter of processes and procedures. And when you put those in place, it’s as easy as A, B, C. And 1,2,3.

Can’t you just see little Michael and the Jackson 5 singin’ it right now?

A, B, C…easy as 1,2,3,
Ah, simple as Do, Re, Mi.
A,B,C…1,2,3…Baby you and me, now.

OK, now I’m in the mood to listen to music. Not take care of business.

But because I’m here for you, I’ll get back to the point.

Business can get hot AND cold. For everyone. This world of business, you chose, doesn’t care how nice you are or how much you know. And it doesn’t care how wonderful your products and services are. It doesn’t even care how much you care. That’s reality.

Business is all about processes and procedures.

That’s why you gotta get ready for it.

Take the real estate market, for example. Because it certainly has more than its fair share of ups and downs. And here’s what happens. When it’s all going great, real estate agents are too busy to do effective marketing. And when sales and listings are slow and  low, fear often sets in. Then it feels like there’s not enough money to do any effective marketing.

But that’s when Mr. or Ms. Savvy Business Owner taps into their system. A proven system to help them through ups AND downs. Because they know how consistent and predictable income sure beats wondering where and when the next commission will be.

And they know their proven system can help…

  1. Always stay in front of your database (even with an automated process)
  2. Find and secure more prospects to share your services with (automation works there, too)
  3. Develop automated workflows so nothing falls through the cracks

And there’s more to it. But when you set up processes and procedures, in the first place, they save you sooooo much time. That’s why I’m gonna be talking about processes and procedures in February’s UNversity class. UNversity classes are the first Thursday of every month. But the deadline to enroll, and be in time for the next class, is always the last day of this month.

And that would be a January 31 deadline for the February 3 class. Enroll now at the link below.

Points of contact? Or six degrees of separation?

Which do you think is better? Six degrees of separation? Or twelve points of contact? Think about it before you answer. Because there’ll be a test later. (Just kidding. I don’t wanna make up a test any more than you wanna take one.)

Anyway, before you answer, consider this…

I found out that Robert Downey Jr., Stand Katic, and Robert DeNiro all have a Bacon number of 2. And we’re not talking about breakfast bacon. No, this is about their connection (in movies) to Kevin Bacon. Maybe you’ve heard of the game, The Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon. It’s based on the idea of 6 degrees of separation. How it probably only takes 6 different connections to be connected to almost anybody.

But it got me wondering.

Aren’t those 6 degrees of separation really more like points of contact?

After all, if you can say there’s a degree of separation based on a common connection, that’s a contact. Matter of fact, the words connection and contact are synonyms. But maybe I’m getting a little to analytical about it. Sorry.

Anyway, it leads me to a point I make all the time with my clients. How around two percent of sales are made on the first contact. And eighty percent of sales are made after five to twelve points of contact.

And since that’s true, why is it only ten percent of sales people make more than three contacts?

Plus, statistically, ninety percent of sales are made on the fourth contact or after. Wow! So, what do all those numbers tell you. Simple. Better build a relationship with someone if you want their business.

So, you gotta set up and use a consistent system for following up with people. I know. I know. It sounds like a lot of work. Right? Well, it is. But guess what’s even more work? Not having a system. Because there’s no way you’ll be able to keep all those contacts in your head. And that means you probably won’t make at least five points of contact with each one.

Because, remember, most sales people stop after one or two points of contact. But that’s good news. It means your competition is basically handing you a bunch of leads and prospects on a silver platter.

Then, there’s the law of diffusion.

Share more information with more people. And that gives them more to help make up their minds. A when you help them make up their minds, they become YOUR customers and clients.

I’ve always shared a lot more about those numbers, with my clients, in my RondaReady System. And I’ve showed them how building those relationships wins referrals and increases influence.

But what if you’re just starting out? And what if you’re not even sure about the best work path to take? So, you don’t have a database or a large list of connections. What then?

Well, that’s exactly why I developed RondaReady YOUniversity. It’s a condensed version of my RondaReady System. And the focus is on…you guessed it…YOU.

It’s launching very, very shortly. So, if you’re a teenager just starting out in the real world, or someone who wants to start out in the business world, get on my email list. Then you’ll be one of the first to get access to more about it. AND you’ll even be one of the first to get my free time categorization tool offer.

Set up now and your future self will thank you

If you want your future self to be prouder of you, it’s a good idea to set up things, the right way, now. Because right now is the only time you can do it, if you haven’t already. And statistics say the vast majority of newbies don’t set things up the right way when they first start out.

But when you set up things at the start, how might your future look?

I read an article that asked the question, “What do you think your future self would say to you?” And there were a lot of silly, and even ridiculous, answers. But there was one I really enjoyed. This young woman said…

“Hey. You have a lot of ambition. I like that about you. We are a lot alike in that regard. Thank you for continuing to push toward your dreams and get out of the jobs that caused us to be miserable. Staying would have been easy. Staying would have provided financial stability for the future. And staying would have been the socially acceptable thing to do.

But, with the support of Husband, you were able to branch out, start your Dog training business, and finally get your writing off the ground. The flexibility that I have now to stay home with the kids, attend all their activities, and spend quality time with Husband, is because of you.

I know you are close to giving up. All of the “no’s” and the lack of response is hard.

Keep going. It’s worth it in the end.

Sincerely, 2030 You

PS. Celery is still the worst.”

Ha! That’s just so great.

But maybe you don’t even know what you need to set up.

Well, that’s the place to start.

And here you are, still in January of the new year, 2022. So, you’re right at the beginning.

And I have a tool, in my RondaReady System called the Accomplishment Board. Because I love to focus on accomplishments. Before they’re even accomplished. Yep, BEFORE.

That’s part of the section of my System where you Envision Your Future. Back in the 80’s, a band called Timbuk 3 had a hit song called “The Future’s So Bright I Gotta Wear Shades.” Wouldn’t it be great to have that much confidence about your future?

Well, you’ve got a much better chance of that when you write it down. And put it where you can see it every day.

My accomplishment board has been a very popular part of the RondaReady System with most of my clients. And that’s just part of why I included it in RondaReady YOUniversity.

“What’s that you say? You haven’t heard of RondaReady YOUniversity?”

Well, it’s just about to officially launch. And you can know exactly when AND how to join if you’re on my email subscribers list. That would be the conspicuous link below.

Stay Ready,
