Family and business don't mix

Who says family and business don’t mix?

OK, I know a huge amount of the time when people mix family and business, it doesn’t go well. In fact, too many times it can go very badly. I just read an article that listed the top 5 reasons to never go into business with family members. But I’m gonna go against the grain and “beg to differ” a little. Hope you’ll indulge me.

Family and business is all around you.

Need an example? Hmm…let’s see. Well…how about me?

No, I’m not in business with any family members. But I started my own business because of my family. My kids, to be exact. And before I started my own business I spent 14 years in a management position for a large corporation. But during that time I noticed some things I really didn’t like.

I didn’t have much time (sometimes not any at all) with my kids. It wasn’t work I loved. And it certainly limited my income opportunities. So, after some diligent research, became a partner in a small business in early 2000. And that improved those three things. But I believed I could kick it up another notch…even a few more notches. And I mastered the technical details of business and started developing what would become my business coach CRM system.

My system worked so well, our business increased overall production of 82% over the next 6 years. And our gross annual profits went from $310,000 to $1.7M in only 4 years. So, we even opened second and third divisions. And in only 3 years those divisions earned over $4M. We discovered how my consistent, reliable, and predictable marketing strategies were the keys to all that success.

Several small business owners and entrepreneurs found out about my system and those results. And they wanted to know my “secrets”.

So, I saw another opportunity. What if I took what I’d learned and went out on my own? And that thought came up in me because my business and family times still weren’t as balanced as I wanted. My kids were little. And I didn’t want them getting big while I spent the days, weeks, months, and years in an office.

And I’ve been working my own business for the last 11 years. Using my RondaReady business coach CRM system. And thoroughly enjoying working from my home based office. Yes, I still have one-on-one clients. But the time flexibility is way better than anything I dealt with before.

Now, am I sharing this with you to brag?

Absolutely. Just kidding. No, I want you to know you can do this too. Especially since you can leap frog past all that time to learn on your own. Because you can plug your business into my already proven and working system. For committed go-getters, this will be like getting a 50 yard headstart in a 100 yard dash.

If you’re ready to run your race better and faster, then you might be really, really ready to get ready, get RondaReady and…

Stay Ready,
Ronda

Focus tools - they're not just for mad scientists

Hmm…maybe some focus tools might help

One of the first Bond movies was “Goldfinger”. And it had a diabolical villain, Mr. Goldfinger. Or Dr. Goldfinger. I’m not sure. But anyway…he was the bad guy. And there was a scene in the movie where he was going to have James Bond cut in half by a laser. Lasers are the best examples of focus tools because of how they can use light to cut through steel. Wow.

Imagine if you could use similar laser-like focus tools in your business.

Maybe you could cut your workload in half. Yeah, I think that analogy works pretty well. Don’t you? Because, in your business, it can sometimes feel like you’re up against steel walls. And it can also feel like there’s no way around or certainly not through.

It’s easy to get a bang-your-head-against-the-wall mentality. But guess what’s a lot easier. Cutting your way through. And that’s what a laser-like focus can help you do. And you need to work this way sooner rather than later. Because you don’t wanna put off success any longer. Right?

So, that’s why, in my system, I show you how to use 5 focus tools…

  • 2 tools to help you visualize your ultimate scenario,
  • An achievement to action tool,
  • A tool to ward off burn out, and
  • A tool to help you establish how much time you want to spend making the money you want to make.

All of the tools are designed to help you take action. And keep moving forward.

On my website, you’ll see lots of testimonials from business owners who’ve done amazing things with my RondaReady business system. Wonderful stories, from business owners and entrepreneurs, like you. And these are the ones who increased sales, hired better employees, got their creativity back, and plenty more.

If any of that sounds like something you’d like for you and your business, then you might be really, really ready to get ready, get RondaReady and…

Stay Ready,

State of mind

State of mind

“Success is a state of mind. If you want success, start thinking of yourself as a success.” ~ Dr. Joyce Brothers

If there’s one other state you should visit, as soon as possible, it’s your state of mind.

In marketing and self-improvement circles, you’ll also see it called mindset. And it’s so important I devoted a few lessons in the first Stage of the RondaReady system to helping you develop your best “self”. And that’s the mindset you’ll take with you as you build your business.

In those sections, I talk about changing your “Why?” questions to “Why not!” answers. And I help you focus in on who you truly are and where you’d like to see yourself going?

Like I say in those videos, “It’s vital to establish a clear picture of where you wanna go, so you can actually get there.”

And another thing I say is, “Why go it alone, when you don’t have to? Let me help.”

You might think you’re the only one who knows your business well enough to work IN it. And I hope, for your sake, that’s not true. Because you can do so much more and build your business so much faster when you work ON it. And hire others to work IN it.

When you’re ready to change your mindset. And when you’re ready to think of yourself as a success, then (and only then) will you be ready to invest in yourself to get there. And I’m here to help.

My RondaReady business coach CRM system has helped scores of other entrepreneurs, like you, change their state of mind. And establish their roadmap to success. With systems that can help you build your business better, have more money, more time, and more freedom.

If you’d like to Get Ready, Be Ready, and Stay Ready, then you’re really, really ready for RondaReady,

How to avoid dying at your desk before your time.

How to avoid dying

What? Does she mean actual dying? Or is she talking about hair coloring? Well, my business is about helping business owners. So, this isn’t about your hair. And it’s not some woo woo advice on reversing age either. But it IS about how to avoid dying…at your desk. At least not before your time.

Is it just silliness to talk about how to avoid dying at your desk?

Hmm…how about this, from an article I read this week? The writer said this…

“I worked with a guy for 30 years, saving money at a senior engineering job had him with a net worth of several million, and a paid off half million house.

He was going to retire at 65, and travel the world. And he was 64, and could already access his $2 million 401k if he wanted to. He died of a massive stroke at his desk one morning 6 months before his 65th birthday. You never know how much time you have.”

No, you really don’t know how much time you have. But you do know it’s limited. Right? And maybe you won’t die at your desk. But you might have to deal with burnout from time to time. Plan A: You deal with it, if and when it comes. Plan B: You have a plan to avoid it.

I suggest plan B.

Because when burnout strikes, it can be almost impossible to be creative. Or focus on the day-to-day operations in your business. Especially if your business depends solely on you. And don’t tell me this doesn’t apply to you. Or that you’re immune to the effects of burnout because you love what you do.

I get it. I love what I do. But it’s not all of who I am. My business is only a part of me. And I don’t want the other parts to just fade away and disappear because I only worked all the time.

But how can you take a break, a vacation, when your business can’t run without you? That’s the million (or multi-million) dollar question. Because when you find the right answer, you can enjoy time away from work. Time when you can focus on those other parts of you. Or your family. And friends.

Mental and emotional stress are even more harmful than physical.

You can’t keep holding weights up indefinitely. Your muscles will give out after a certain amount of stress. And your mind will give out, too, if you don’t give it recovery breaks. Symptoms this has occurred include:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Irritability
  • Lack of memory or concentration
  • Compulsive behavior

If you’ve noticed any of these symptoms, I recommend you seriously consider setting up a system for you business. One that includes what I call recovery time. There are plenty of tools to help you get organized and prepared.

Another option is to plug your business into a system where all that work has been done for you. And, as it just so happens, my RondaReady business coach CRM system fits that bill quite nicely, thank you.

And one section of my online system includes how to deal with dying at your desk…uh, I mean…burnout. It’s where I help you set up the tools you’ll need to be sure you’re not “that person.”

So, if you think you’re showing signs of being that burnout person, make an appointment with Dr. Ronda today.

Clients expectations

Do you meet clients expectations?

Right now there might be a lot of clients expectations you don’t know about. Because…well…how could you? There are way too many unusual things going on for you to know how everybody feels about everything. And that’s not a realistic goal even in the best of times. But if you don’t have a fairly good handle on what people expect from businesses and services like yours, then don’t be surprised when you don’t get more clients. Or customers.

Clients expectations should always be met.

OK, I used that little subhead to get your attention. Because the exact opposite is true. For example, let’s say you run a car repair shop. And let’s say customers expect you to throw in a free oil change or a new tire with every repair you make. Is that a fair expectation? And will you do your best to meet or exceed it? Of course not.

On the other hand, clients or customers of an auto repair shop should be able to expect to get a repair done well and on time. And they should be able to expect they’ll get their car back in clean condition. Right?

So, if you want to be sure you get less clients and customers, then forget about keeping track of anything. Just do your work. Get ’em out. And get the next one in. If they liked your work, they’ll be back. Right?

Maybe. Maybe not. But here’s what’s for sure. You can’t keep everything in your head. Or on a scribbled piece of paper that gets lost in the tornado you call your desk. Sooner or later you’ll “pay the piper.” With lost business. And with angry customers.

When you’re ready to get out of that rat race, get my RondaReady business coach CRM system. It won’t help you meet those unrealistic expectations. But it WILL help committed entrepreneurs and business owners know who’s who and what’s what.

If that sound like you, then you’re really, really ready to get ready, get RondaReady and…

Genius message

A built-in genius message

Nothing warms my heart quite like hearing from a client who’s enjoying increased success with my RondaReady system. Especially when it’s a “genius message.”

I’ve worked with Heather (not her real name) for 4 years now. Together, we created all her business systems the first year.  And since then, we’ve been setting up and automating her business processes. She’s seen her business and income grow steadily. And she’s been able to focus ON it instead of clunking around IN it.

Heather had been using another CRM system. But once I released mine, she switched. And after using it only one month, she sent me the text you see in the picture.

There’s a reason why I’m sharing this genius message.

And it’s not just a vanity thing. Well, OK…it did give me a nice ego boost. But I have enough real life going on (like everyone else) to keep it real. Anyway…

I wouldn’t exactly say I’m “a genius”. But I certainly won’t stop Heather from saying it.  😉 And I thank her for sharing. But the real reason I wanted to pass this on to you is because it’s a result of having a system. Not just any system. But a system that works. And one you can plug your business into and make it work for you, too.

My RondaReady business coach CRM system has helped scores of other entrepreneurs, like you, build their business better and faster. And those business owners now have more money, more time, and more freedom.

By the way, when you have a success story, share it with me. Let me show others how you’re doing. And if you’re still undecided whether or not you should dive in, I’ll just say this.

You WILL make choices. Either now or later. But later almost always sets you back. If you don’t want that to happen to you and your business, maybe you’re really, really ready to get ready, get RondaReady and…

Stay Ready,

Stay Ready cream or lotion for your business

Stay Ready Lotion for Your Business

One of the three pillars of my system is what I call Stay Ready. And a couple days ago I saw an ad, in the side of my browser, for a cream or lotion for men with that same name. It’s supposed to “nourish and hydrate your skin while eliminating odor-causing bacteria with a mint & clove fragrance.” And that way you men can “stay ready” for the day by looking and smelling good. If only it was as simple as that for business.

The right system can be the Stay Ready lotion for your business.

Now, I’m not saying it’s as easy as applying moisture to your skin. But my RondaReady business coach CRM system is about as close to it as you can get. Because you can literally plug your business into a system that’s already set up for you. And you can start getting (and feeling) more organized…from day one.

Like with an office manager of one of my clients. I shared a video of Jen a few months ago. And, in it, she talked about how she was able to start, her very first day, with clear directions, training, and systems to follow. Because I had already helped my client set up and implement their very own operations manual.

And guess what my client saved by not having to start from scratch with Jen. If you’ve been paying attention to what I’ve been sharing, even for a little while, you’re probably ahead of me. Yeah, TIME.

Probably the biggest benefit of getting organized is saving time. I don’t know about you, but I still haven’t figured out a way to make more of it. So, the next best thing is to get more done using less of it. Right?

And that’s an awesome way to build your business better and faster.

With everything that’s going on in the world right now, can you afford to spin your wheels trying to figure everything out on your own? Of course, I have a vested interest in you buying my system. But I wouldn’t recommend it so much, if I didn’t think (and know) it could help.

It’s like hydration and nourishment for your business. And it’ll help eliminate business stagnation odor with the fragrance of success.

Keep in mind, though, it’s not for tire kickers. It’s a comprehensive, yet easy to follow, system for entrepreneurs and business owners who don’t have time to waste.

If that’s you, then you’re really, really ready to get ready, get RondaReady and schedule a time to talk with me.

Here’s your link to do that: https://www.rondaready.com/contact

Getting organized might be the reason you're not organized.

Are you still getting organized?

You might be shooting your business in the foot. How? By getting organized. And before you decide to feed me to the wolves, let me explain.

Getting organized shouldn’t keep you from being organized.

When I coach my clients one-on-one, it takes about a year to complete. That’s based on putting in an average of 1-3 hours of work each week. There are ways you can reduce the time. But just know you’ll be working on your own, going at your own pace, and possibly even taking longer than you hoped.

Why do I bring it up? Because I like to help my clients and customers save as much time and energy as possible. Like I often say, why reinvent the wheel, when you don’t have to…right? Also, why make things more difficult when you don’t have to?

And that’s what a lot of entrepreneurs do when they start getting their businesses more organized. They spend weeks, months, and even years figuring out what tools to use and what platforms to be on. And that can cause what I call Action Distraction. Because that sort of busyness takes your eyes off the prize. Building your business.

And maybe you’ve heard of the acronym K.I.S.S. Yes? It stands for Keep It Super Simple. Or some say Keep It Simple, Stupid. But let’s be nice and go with the super simple one. And let’s stick with a plan that’s proven to work.

In my RondaReady business coach CRM system I recommend a simple list of tools:

  • It’s a great idea to have (or get) a cloud storage account. You’ll need a secure place to save all your work. Cloud storage is great so you can access on any of your devices and easily share with others on your team.
  • Reliable computer/tablet and printer
  • PDF reader software
  • Paper for printing out worksheets and examples
  • Pens/pencils for regular writing
  • One large piece of paper or poster board at least 2’x2′
  • A physical folder for your handwritten notes and printed resources. (If you prefer digital files, be sure to save all your downloads to your cloud folder.)
  • Scotch tape and post-it notes.

And start with your own website so you can focus your marketing efforts toward getting people to come to you. And make it a super simple site to navigate. Easy to understand. And simple to buy your goods and services.

Just a couple more tools.

If you already have a calendar on your phone, don’t worry about getting the coolest, latest super-duper calendar with lots of bells and whistles. Just start with what you’ve got. And be persistent with it. Set your reminders. And your alerts.

Also, a lot of phones, like my iPhone, even help you set things up with your voice. What could be easier.

So, here’s the point. Don’t spend so much time getting organized that you feel even less organized. Because it can happen. I know from experience.

And if you’d like to REALLY benefit from my years of experience, invest in my RondaReady business coach CRM system. I’ve already done tons of the hard work. And I’ve set up a system you can plug your business into with confidence. And talk about organized!

Serious business owners buy my system, but they don’t pay for it.

So, when you’re that serious, you’re really, really ready to get ready, get RondaReady and…

Stay Ready,
Ronda

Work life balance on a high wire with one hand tied behind you

Be the amazing acrobat of work life

So, you think you’ve got a problem with work life balance. Imagine your very life depending on your ability to balance. Could you do it then? Maybe you’ve heard of Philippe Petit. A pretty famous high wire artist who walked a “wire” between the twin towers of the World Trade Center back in 1974. And not just once, but eight times back and forth. Whew! I get tingles in my feet just thinking about it.

Imagine you are the high wire artist of your own work life balance.

And imagine being so balanced you can stand on tippy toes with one hand tied behind you. With no worries of falling. Wouldn’t that be awesome? And of course I’m using a metaphor to make a point. But the point is real.

Lots of my clients have complained they just don’t find balance in their lives. Either they spend too much time on their business and neglect family life. Or they “slack off” too much with the family and their business suffers. So, what’s a business owner or entrepreneur to do? Well, what I’ve discovered, most of the time, is…they haven’t organized enough. And they haven’t set up automation and delegation.

It’s easy to believe you’re the only one who can do whatever needs to be done in your business. And when you’re starting out, that’s actually probably true. But if you wanna really expand your business and be a CEO instead of a worker bee, work a better way.

And that better way is to get yourself a proven system. One that helps you set up, prioritize, and automate as many day-to-day chores as possible. Why spend your time stringing up the cable and securing the foundation when you could be the artist on the high wire? Up there where the world can see the results of your amazing ideas.

Clients and customers will be lining up to “see your show.”

When you’re ready to focus your efforts on being the CEO (captivating entertaining originator), my RondaReady business coach CRM system is ready, too. It’ll take commitment to the process and dedication to your dreams. But if that’s the kind of business owner or entrepreneur you are, it’ll be cake.

How about we talk about it some more? Book a free call with me, with that handy calendar below. And give me a chance to see where you wanna go in life. I’d love to help YOU if I can. Let’s talk soon.

Where are you going? And where have you been?

Hey…where are you going?

I remember a commercial, from about 10 years ago, that said “a body in motion tends to stay in motion.” And since I’m a business coach, I can see how it would be easy to substitute the word business in there. Because a business in motion tends to stay in motion. But it’s gotta be forward motion. Sure, analyze what has been working. But be able to answer that question, where are you going?

If you don’t know where you’re going, how will you be ready for when you get there?

Part of being ready is knowing your numbers. Do you know where most or all of your business has come from? And do you have an idea of where you’d like it to come from in the future? Are you working a certain section of your marketing to get results you want?

How do you know, if you’re not keeping score?

It’s a big part of being your own boss and conveying leadership.

A couple of months ago, I was with a client, talking about this year’s projections. And we went over how much more he wanted to accomplish on a monthly basis. Of course, a first thought usually is, “Uh, I gotta go get more clients or customers.” But what about the ones you already have? How are they producing?

In my client’s business, his customers can order more from him. So, we did a quick analysis of previous orders. And we came up with some minimums. As well as some strategies for how to boost those monthly sales. And we saw how 75% of the increase he wanted and needed for this year could be achieved with current customers. At least as long as he works his strategy to help his customers make more money. Because helping them increase helps him increase. Right?

And we discovered all this by keeping score.

It’s not good enough to know the old money in money out numbers. Gotta know where it’s coming from so you be sure how to position your business for that forward motion.

So…numbers and projections…know them.

And my RondaReady business coach CRM system can help you automate and delegate a lot of the process. Of course, if you prefer to slug your way through, then by all means carry on. But when you want help to get there faster and better, I’m only a click or a tap away.

When you’re really, really ready to get ready, get RondaReady and…

Stay Ready,
Ronda
