Your quest is over before it starts if you do this

What if you were given a seemingly impossible mission? And what if your quest led you into harm’s way over and over? And what if you were just a tiny creature compared to the challenges you would face? Sounds like fun. Right?

And that would be your quest if your name was Frodo.

If you’re a fan of Lord of the Rings, you know exactly who I’m talking about. He was the little Hobbit who was given a quest. And that quest was to journey to the land of Mordor and cast the One Ring into the fires of Mount Doom.

And if you read the book, or saw the movie, maybe you remember his sidekick/servant, Samwise. Sam also had a quest. It was to serve and help his master, Frodo. And that was even it meant he’d have to follow him into horrible places and situations. With no guarantee of success.

My guess is your quest, for your business and your life, won’t have challenges anything like those Hobbits’. But I know you’ll face some serious uphill challenges. And I know you’ll have at least one thing in common with Frodo.

You’ll need some help. Like a platform. And a System.

Take journalists and on-camera talent for TV and radio, for example. Think about how much they can influence the way people all across the country see (and feel about) things. So, what’s their big advantage? It’s their platform. Because they can use their platform to steadily pump out the stories. And that gives them more influence. Which gives them a more prominent position in your mind.

Now, that’s pretty powerful. No wonder marketing gurus suggest being on as many social media platforms as you can.

But that takes a lot of time. And effort. And maybe a lot of people, too.

Unless you build a system and work your system.

Because a system can help you organize all your best ideas, thoughts, products, and services. And the right system is gonna help you control your schedule. Instead of it controlling you. I can’t over stress how important that is.

When you’re in control of your time, like a finely tuned Swiss watch, you can build YOUR platform.

And never forget, YOUR platform is YOU. And your business.

Social media is just a part of that. Right? And there are other way more important parts. Like…

  • Your own website
  • And your other channels for selling
  • And your in-person clients and customers

So, you gotta be a system builder so you can pursue your dreams and build your empire.

But maybe you don’t have time to build a system, from scratch.

And maybe it’s because you’re so busy trying to be everywhere at once.

If that’s the case, my RondaReady System has your back. And I’ve already done all the “heavy lifting.” And with all my coaching, you’re gonna really reduce your learning curve, too. Check out this behind-the-scenes look I shared in a video: https://www.RondaReady.com/raise-your-business

This is not going to work for most people

Now, I have to say, right up front, this is not going to work for most people. Because most people don’t wanna do the hard work. If that’s you, skip everything I’m about to say. And go back to your safe (not) routine. More power (and sleepless nights) to you. But if you’re one of the very few who’d rather build a business that supports you instead of vice versa, stick around.

OK, first. A couple of reasons why this is not going to work.

And I already mentioned the number one reason. Because it requires hard work. And you should know this takes a lot more effort, up front, than just working IN your business? But, will it be worth it? Absolutely!

Another reason this won’t work for most people is because it’s a long-term commitment. Results vary. But the great results don’t typically happen overnight. Or even in less than 90 days. But the great results DO happen when you commit to the process.

I’ve seen business owners use what I’m talking about to take their six figure businesses to seven (and beyond) a whole lot faster than they thought they’d be able to.

And this is something major multi-billion dollar corporations all have. Without exception. Even the ones who act like they’re different from all the rest. Apple. Google. Amazon. They do this. Because they all know their companies will fizzle if they don’t do this.

Research and results support this. But maybe you’re the exception. And maybe you can defy all the odds, skip all the hard work, and still get amazing results in a week. And not just in your head. Because maybe you’re the person who’s figured out how.

If so, I bet you can give Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos a run for their money. Literally. Because every other business owner is gonna wanna know what you did. And where they can get it.

But my guess is, you don’t have that “special something” yet. Because you’re reading this right now. But that’s OK. Because if it was easy, everyone would be doing it. And they’re not. Right?

So, is there anyone this actually DOES work for?

Yes. If you’re an entrepreneur, solopreneur, franchise owner, business owner, real estate agent, or let’s just say anyone who’d rather own your own business, this can work for you.

But it’s gonna take a certain kind of mindset. And a commitment for the long-haul. AND the willingness to invest in yourself and your business.

So, the question is simple. Are you ready to change? And would you like to not only know what I’m talking about, but also how to get it working for you and your business?

If so, great. It’s included in section three of my RondaReady System.

And it’s part of why one of my clients, Claire, said this, “Since I started working with Ronda, I’ve had two of the best years in my business! I attribute her encouragement to a big part of that turn around. And I’ve shared Ronda’s tools with my business partner and she also is having her best year in her business!”

If you’re still unsure, at least get my free emails. Then, we can stay in touch. And you can ask me questions. And I’ll answer them personally. Your link to sign up is below.

Good at painting is just a matter of your Vision

I guess you could say it was in his blood. Because his father taught art classes, was the curator of a local museum, and even earned a living painting birds and game animals. So, naturally, the son would attend the School of Fine Arts in Barcelona where his father taught. But the young boy had more than a passing interest. In fact, he was very good at painting.

But he didn’t just want to be good at painting.

So, the young boy would visit art exhibits to study paintings of Rembrandt, Johannes Vermeer, El Greco, Francisco Goya, and Diego Veláquez. And I just gave you hint as to who I’m talking about when I mentioned some of those names.

He was a famous artist, in the 20th century, who lived much of his life in France. But he was originally from Spain. Can you guess who it is? I’ll give you some more hints.

People say this influential artist had amazing artistic courage and self-confidence. He didn’t particularly care what others thought. And he stuck to his vision. No matter what. He created tons of painting, sculptures, and etchings. And there are some who would call him a genius. Or a legend.

Know who it is?

OK, enough with the suspense. I’m talkin’ about Picasso. A guy so famous you don’t even have to say his first name (Pablo). And he was an artist who apparently pursued his artistic vision to the very end of his life.

Do you pursue your art that way?

And your art doesn’t have to be paint and canvas. But you can use your skills and talents to create something magical. Something rewarding. Not just for you. But also for your family and friends. And even people who work for you.

Maybe your art will never hang in a museum. And maybe your songs will never be played on the radio or internet. Maybe you’ll never be a famous painter or photographer or musician. But you don’t have to be any of those to create a masterpiece.

Truth is, the vast majority of people who’ve ever lived weren’t famous artists. Most people are just like you and me. Working on dreams and ideas and ways to take care of the ones we love. Right?

But your “Art” can provide income and opportunities.

And that’s a whole ‘nother kind of masterpiece.

So what if people a hundred years from now don’t make movies or write songs about you. What does any of that matter as long as you took care of your family as you pursued your goals? Enthusiastically and passionately.

Your art builds and develops even more important things than pictures and music. You build relationships. The fundamental reason for any of us to be here.

And that’s why I’m pulling for you. I’m your cheerleader. Visionaries, like you, are why I created my RondaReady System. To help you build your dream better and faster. And there’s a whole section to help you with your vision.

Wanna know more about it? Get my free emails and let’s stay in touch. You can ask me questions. And I’ll personally answer them. Your link is below.

Tell yourself the truth. And be sure to pay attention.

When I first had my three kids, I suddenly found myself in the middle of the single mom world. My marriage had broken and crumbled. And I had to face some hard truths. Because, I believe the best way to face your problems is head on. You gotta tell yourself the truth. “Deal with reality,” as a friend of mine once said. Because living in a fantasy world only works in movies.

And when you tell yourself the truth, life gets real. Real fast.

For me, the truth was, I didn’t wanna continue to work in the corporate world that would keep me away from my kids. But I had another truth to deal with. If I didn’t keep a J.O.B. I’d have to start my own business. And I had to be sure I could do that AND raise three little kids.

I believed I could. Because I sat down and got a clear picture of myself running a business. And I saw myself taking care of my kids. AND I figured out a System to help me get more organized than I’d ever been before.

So, you could say my business started out as a vision. Because it DID. And I absolutely knew I wanted the freedom my own business would give me. My vision was so clear it played like a movie in my head. Every day. And every night.

But just because that’s what worked for me doesn’t mean that’s what’ll work for you.

So, if you’re struggling with work issues, I recommend you do this, too.

Sit yourself down. In a room where you won’t be distracted. And tell yourself the truth. Not somebody else’s vision for how you should live life. Get a clear vision of what’s true for you.

And if know you won’t follow through in business, then it’s OK to stop trying to be a business owner. Not everyone is cut out for it. Maybe you don’t have the heart of an entrepreneur. It’s OK. Not everyone does. And some people have amazingly successful lives working for someone else.

But most people don’t plan it that way.

And they end up in jobs they hate. In lives of quiet (sometimes not so quiet) suffering. Just barely able to tolerate the monotony. Day in. Day out.

So, here’s the thing…

It takes business owners AND employees to run a successful business.

But you gotta know which one you prefer and which one you’ll be. And then, you gotta be able to see yourself in the role you choose. A wise man once wrote, “Where this is no vision, the people perish.”

So, tell yourself the truth.

Are you the sort of person who wants to work toward your own goals and ideas? Can you put in the extra time each day…day after day…to make sure you reach those goals? Or would you prefer to work a good eight hour day and go home to your family? Like I said, the choice is yours, and either one is an honorable way to go.

If you wanna be a business owner, my RondaReady system can help you make it successful. And much more quickly. And with way more predictable results. That can mean the difference between working IN your business and working ON it.

The best time to start is twenty years ago. The next best time to start is Right Now. But if you’re not ready to invest in yourself and your business, then get my free emails. And let’s stay in touch. Subscribers get to ask me questions. And I answer them. Click or tap that link below.

Pivot friends don't let friends off this hook

A friend of mine told me a story about his recent visit to relatives in Illinois. He and his wife went  there to spend some time with her sister and brother-in-law. And something happened that reminded them all of the pivot Friends episode on TV. Remember that one?

That’s the one where Ross, Rachel, and Chandler had to move a sofa upstairs? Ross kept yelling, “Pivot, pivot, pivot!”

And Chandler finally yelled out in frustration, “Shut up, shut up, shut up!” Anything like that ever happen to you? I can relate. But I’ll save that story for another time.

Right now I’m thinking about how several of my friends, and clients, have mentioned how they’re not taking a vacation this year. Some of them are Type A’s. And some of them don’t want to risk losing the momentum they’ve built up so far this year.

And some are just plain fearful of the current economic circumstances. But if any of those descriptions fit you, let me just say…

It might be time to pivot, friends.

(see what I did there?)

Anyway, I recommend you get out of your daily groove and move. It doesn’t have to be across the country, like my friends did recently. Although that could be the perfect thing too.

You could go see a movie. Or hike in the mountains or along the beach. Doesn’t matter where. Just get a change of scenery. Do some things in a different order. Or eat a different kind of lunch.

Point is…pivot from the routine once in a while. Get refreshed. And go back to your business (or your job) with a fresh, new perspective.

Sometimes you don’t even realize you need to do it until you actually do it. Has that ever happened for you?

It certainly has for me.

And believe me, I understand what it’s like to get in the groove and not want to stop.

Especially when you’re hard at work, building your business so you can get more out of life. But I still encourage you to pivot. Friends don’t let friends work themselves into an early grave. And I consider you enough of a friend to share this with you.

And when you do, let me know how it went. I’ll even share your story with my other readers if you say it’s OK.

OK, that’s it. Consider this a “no sell” Monday. And that’s my pivot for the week.

Knocked around and you didn't even get a trophy?

Do you ever feel like you and your business are like a tennis ball? Just getting knocked around. And everything feels out of your control? Yeah, it’s Wimbledon tournament time again. And watching a little clip of one of the matches, on TV, made me think about this again.

What could make you feel like your business is getting knocked around?

Maybe it’s your schedule. Or your to-do list. Or your clients. Whatever it is, it just doesn’t feel good. And you’d like to change that. Right?

If so, I feel your pain. Because I’ve definitely “been there, done that.” But I developed the best System in the world to help you ease and get rid of the pain. OK, disclaimer. I don’t actually have proof that my RondaReady System is the best one in the world. But I DO know this. It’s the ONLY one that includes ME. And I’ve worked with tons of clients over the years. My experience and research helped me develop a System you can plug your business into and overcome that out-of-control feeling.

Let’s say you’re a star player at Wimbledon. And let’s say you’re known for your powerful serve.

You practiced day in and day out your whole life to be here on the stage of one of the most prestigious tennis events on the planet. And here you are in your first match. About to serve your first serve.

So, you loft your first ball into the air and lift the racket to swing into the serve. Now, stop action! And let’s zoom into that shot real close. Zoom in. A little more. That’s it. Now, let’s take a close look at that cropped shot of just the ball and the racket.

Which one do you think is about to feel the impact more?

Yeah, that’s right. That ball is about to get knocked around a lot. So, you serve it through the air, over a net, and it bounces on the ground. Then, your opponent smacks it back. And that poor, little ball has no say-so in the game. So, here’s where my business analogy comes in…

Don’t be that ball.

Be the racket.

Because the racket is in control. And maybe an even better analogy is, be the player holding the racket. Of course, the racket, in this analogy is your business. And the player is YOU.

When you’re Ready to be that Player, invest in my System. And I’ll help you become a champion business builder. Click or tap on that first link below. But if you’re not Ready to invest in your business that way, click or tap on the second link. Get my free emails. And let’s stay in touch.

Subscribers get to ask me questions. And I answer as many as I personally can.

Time off without pay is such a great thing

OK, don’t pounce on me right away for what I’m about to say. But I prefer time off without pay. I know that sounds like blasphemy to anyone whose time off is sacred to them.

But I have a little different description of time off without pay.

To get time away from work, and still get paid, typically means your employer includes that in your “benefits package.” But when you work for yourself, it’s a whole ‘nother ballgame. Because if you don’t work, there’s no income. And no income means no “paid time off.”

So, working for yourself means no time off with pay. Right?

Um…not exactly.

One huge reason I made the leap from J.O.B. to business owner was so I could be with my kids. I never wanted family to take a full-time backseat to all the other parts of life.

And when I “went out on my own”, my oldest child was only two. And my second daughter was only three months old. So, my number one reason for owning my own business was to have time with my family. After almost two decades as a business owner, that’s still my number one reason.

Working in the corporate world never allowed enough paid time off to be with my kids when they need me most. And when you have young kids, they need you a lot. Older ones do, too. Even if they’d rather not admit it.

I remember a couple of years ago when my daughter started feeling sick one morning. Thankfully, I was able to be at home with her and take her to the doctor.

I didn’t have to “call in sick” or ask permission to “take time off.”

And one of the best parts was how my System helped keep my business going while I took care of my family. Plus, my daughter didn’t have to feel my stress. I’m sure you know the stress I’m talking about. When you know you gotta get back to work as soon as possible to keep the checks coming in. But my daughter was able to rest easy. Because she knew I’d be there as much as she needed me.

That lack of stress is priceless.

I make sure I don’t take it for granted. When I see or hear myself complaining about how the day is going, I just close my eyes and remember what it was like before. And here’s the thing, my System helps keep my business going so I don’t lose out on real (or potential) sales and profits. And that means my “time off” doesn’t mean income stops. Winner, winner…steak dinner.

So which Ronda are you? The one who thinks it’s not feasible to take time off? And that’s the one who doesn’t have a plan for how to solve that problem. If that’s you, click or tap that first link below and get my free emails. Then we can stay in touch and you can ask me questions and I’ll answer them.

Or are you the one who’s Ready for a System to be sure things keep going whether you’re there or not? And that’s the one who’ll solve those problems a lot faster.

If that’s you, click or tap that second link below. And invest in you and your business with the System that’ll pay for itself over and over again.

Good news Bad news. Depends on how you tilt your head.

Bob (not his real name) started out as a solopreneur. And that’s just a fancy schmancy way to describe a one-man operation. But the point is, Bob’s great at what he does and what he offers. So, the good news is, in only seven years, he’s built quite a successful business. So successful he’s hired 10 employees. Because he wants to build it even more. And he knows he can’t do it all himself.

That’s the good news. Here’s the bad.

Yeah, bad news if that’s what you wanna call it. Because, now, Bob’s has to only run a business, but he also has to manage 10 employees. And that’s not as easy as it sounds.

But here’s some bad news. He can’t do the same thing that got him where he is now. Because that won’t help him manage 10 employees. He’s gotta do something different.

But that can actually be good news. Because Bob can set up a system with automated and repeatable processes to help get him out of the day-to-day tasks. And that can help him leverage his time and focus. But the bad news is, it takes time to set up a system like that. And Bob doesn’t feel like taking all that time to do that.

But there’s still good news.

Because that’s where my online RondaReady System comes in.

I put together a System that gives business owners amazing, business-building tools. Bob can plug his business in to the RondaReady System and build, scale, and even automate day-to-day tasks. So, then he can focus ON his business, not IN it.

And I’ve already done a huge amount of the work. So, Bob has a huge advantage over competitors.

What about you? Are you in the enviable position of having a profitable business? But you feel you’re losing control of your time and focus? Well, never worry, never fear. RondaReady is here. And I believe my System can help you get back in control and live your dream.

It’s the ONLY System that includes ME. And, at the risk of sounding arrogant, that’s no small thing.

That’s the good news. The potentially bad news is, it might be too much of an investment for you. Because it’s a premium product for premium results. And I know you know that premium isn’t cheap or free. So, if you’re not quite Ready to invest that much, get my free emails. And let’s stay in touch. That way you can ask me questions, and I’ll answer them personally. Your link is below.

Get back to work with a smile and a wink

Nose to the grindstone. Shoulder to the wheel. And pedal to the metal. Yeah, it’s time to get back to work after an extended holiday weekend.

But what if you’re just not in the mood to get back to work?

Especially if you had a blast over the weekend. And I know lots of people can say that today. Because I saw some of the 4th of July traffic and crowds. So, I know there are countless stories of awesome fireworks, food, and fun.

And I know it can feel a little bit like a letdown to get back to work mode after all that. Yeah. Been there, done that.

So, what’s a responsible adult to do?

Well, one suggestion I have is to ease yourself back into work mode. Don’t heap a ton of big stuff onto your “plate” right away. Start with the most important things on your list. And see if there are some easier ones you can check off pretty quickly. Because those checkmarks, on your list, can be like little positive reinforcement lights. And they can jumpstart you into moving forward again.

And that feeling of accomplishment helps clear your head for the more difficult work you’ll do.

I could give you lots of analogies and examples. But it really comes down to that perennial Nike catchphrase: “Just do it.” Right? Because it’s gotta get done.

So, just do it. Then it’s done.

One of the easier things you can do when you get back to work is to set up action steps in your CRM (Customer Relationship Management) System. And action steps help you do exactly what they say. Take action steps.

Just in case you don’t already have a CRM, and just in case you haven’t set up action steps before, my RondaReady System can jumpstart you in a big way. Because it comes with a CRM. And I show you exactly how to set up those action steps. And I show you how much they can help you.

Hopefully you didn’t spend all your savings on fireworks, food, and fun over this past weekend. Because my System isn’t a $5 pdf you can download and forget about. It’s an investment. One you should only get if you know you can get your clients and customers to pay for.

If that’s not you, I suggest you get my free emails first. That way we can stay in touch. And subscribers can ask me questions. And I answer them, personally. Your link is below.

Risk and return are why you make this ride

You hear about it a lot in banking and investing circles. The talk and speculation about risk and return. Is it worth the risk? Hmm…depends on the return.

But today I’m not talking about banking or investing. Because it’s the 4th of July. Independence Day here in America. And I read the famous poem, by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, “The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere.”

When I think about the circumstances surrounding Mr. Revere’s famous ride, I wonder…

“Did he consider whether he could take the risk and return home again?”

Because it was a very dangerous time in our newly declared country. There could have been British soldiers hiding in any number of places along his route. He could’ve been shot. And if he had been captured, it wouldn’t have gone well either.

But thankfully Paul Revere WAS willing to take the risk. And he DID return to his home and his life. And America fought for and won the freedom we still enjoy some of today.

Most people around the world can’t pursue their creativity. And most of them will possibly never know what it’s like to build a business and make money based on a dream. Here, in America, we basically take it for granted that we can do those things if we truly want to. But don’t ever forget how much our freedom cost. More than you or I will ever be able to repay.

Independence Day, the 4th of July here in America, is the perfect time to acknowledge the bold and brave men and women who served our country and helped provide and protect our freedom. Because of them you and I are able to take safer risks.

We can start our own businesses. And make better lives for ourselves and our families. And we don’t have to worry about a British soldier shooting us for it.

So, that’s a huge plus. Right?

Go have a fun, happy, safe Independence Day celebration today. And here’s an excerpt from Mr. Longfellow’s famous poem to get you going…

So through the night rode Paul Revere;
And so through the night went his cry of alarm
To every Middlesex village and farm,—
A cry of defiance, and not of fear,
A voice in the darkness, a knock at the door,
And a word that shall echo forevermore!
For, borne on the night-wind of the Past,
Through all our history, to the last,
In the hour of darkness and peril and need,
The people will waken and listen to hear
The hurrying hoof-beats of that steed,
And the midnight message of Paul Revere.

Happy Birthday America!
