Monday motivation? Sorry, don’t have any here.

Mandy got up on the first work day of each week in a funky mood. She didn’t look forward to a new week. And she dreaded just about everything that would come up besides her morning coffee. So, she’d grab her first cup of caffeine, and go online and look for some Monday motivation. And that’s just so wrong.

Monday motivation? Sorry, don’t have any here.

Ouch. That’s not very helpful Monday motivation, is it?

Well, it isn’t. And it is.

Because if you’re looking for someone else to motivate you, you’re setting yourself up for failure. No one can motivate you. Or “give” you motivation.

But that doesn’t mean there’s no motivational help anywhere. Because you can certainly find music or a movie scene or something like that to get you pumped up and ready to roll. But they don’t make you roll. You do. Or you don’t.

Yeah, it really just comes down to taking action.

And it’s just as true with your business as it is with all parts of your life.

Maybe you’re not motivated to set up your email list and send out emails on a regular basis. But you want to keep in touch with your clients and customers. And you wanna help them so you can profit from your skills. Right?

So, you gotta figure out what actions you need to take to get emails set up.

But that’s the easy part.

And the harder part (at first) is actually taking those actions. Like the Nike commercials always say…Just do it.

And don’t listen to that little voice inside your head that says, “I don’t feel like it.” Or “This is too hard.”

Of course it’s hard. But people only succeed by doing the hard parts.

Like I always say, if it was easy, everybody would be doing it. But they’re not. But you can. And you will. Because you want success. Right? And because you already have my RondaReady system. And that means your business is plugged in and running on all cylinders.

What’s that you say?

You DON’T have my system? Well, there’s no time like the present. Start today, and you’ll have something extra to be thankful for this coming Thursday.

So, Get Ready to Be Ready. AND be the highly organized CEO of your business.

And I truly do wanna help you…

Stay Ready,
Ronda

More is not always better

I’m sure you’ve heard commercials or creative directors or even motivational speakers use the phrase: less is more. Right? And I know you catch their drift. And maybe they make a good point. But I prefer to say more is not always better. And I believe I can confidently say Abraham Lincoln would agree with me.

Honest Abe was the perfect example of how more is not always better.

And the 16th President came up in my mind because I just saw where yesterday (November 19) was the 157th anniversary of his famous Gettysburg Address.

I’m sure you recall it’s the speech President Lincoln gave that started with, “Four score and seven years ago…” And it was only 271 words long. But something you might not know is Mr. Lincoln’s speech was not actually billed as the Gettysburg Address in the program organized for that day.

There was actually what they called an “Oration” billed as “The Battles of Gettysburg.” It was 13,607 words. And it was given by Edward Everett, a well-known politician, and lasted about two hours. Most accounts say it was a great speech. And just in case you’re curious, Lincoln’s speech lasted about two minutes.

Now, I’ll bet you don’t even know how Mr. Everett’s speech started. Much less what it was about. Right? But many people remember Lincoln’s speech. Or they at least recognize it when someone starts to recite it.

OK, maybe none of this means a darn thing to you. And maybe you wonder why I’d even bring it up. Especially since my business is about business and not politics. But I think there’s a lesson in this.

The more precise and concise your information, the less you need of it.

And business owners who don’t grab onto that concept almost always end up chasing loads of information. From lots of sources. And almost always from too many different kinds of sources. Such a waste of time!

That’s why I designed my RondaReady system with a one-of-a-kind combo of business coach and CRM system in one place. And you can get it for less than the cost of most business coaches who don’t include a CRM…or even less than most CRM’s that don’t include a business coach.

So, when you’re really ready to be the highly organized CEO of your business, get your own R.O.N.D.A.

Because I truly do wanna help you…

Business distractions can be so much fun. Right?

This probably isn’t you. So, if it isn’t, don’t waste time reading all of it. And feel free to get back to work. Because you’re probably not bothered by business distractions like…hmm…let’s say…your smartphone. Right? You can take it or leave it. Right?

Business distractions can be so much fun. Right?

But smartphone’s become business distractions for lots of people.

So, just in case you’re interested to know, average business owners like you look at their phone about 52 times a day. Because that’s where you can see text messages, check out your social media notifications, and, oh yeah…make phone calls.

Plus, you can set up reminders, plan appointments on your calendar, and even listen to music or a podcast.

And I’ve even heard of people shopping from their phones. Is that a thing?

Wow. When it comes to distractions, I’m just getting started.

Because there are plenty of other potential time-sucking attention grabbers. Like people interruptions. I’ve got one word for you. Kids. Can I get an amen? Yeah, people of all ages can interrupt at the worst times sometimes.

And a lot of business owners have never figured out how to deal with clutter. Or information overload. Or daydreaming and ideas bouncing around in their head. And a lot of them still think they can multitask. (Read what I already said about that.)

But, like I said, probably none of this describes you.

And I bet you’ve never had an issue with equipment breakdowns. Or a sore back from the wrong chair position at your desk. Or bad lighting making your eyes way too tired way before your work is done. Nah, you’ve probably got it all under control.

But, just in case I’m wrong. And just in case you’re looking for a way to organize your business and your time, I encourage you to grab my RondaReady system. And plug your business in…starting today.

Because, in my humble opinion, it’s THE best way to help you be the highly organized CEO of your business you should be.

Don’t put your success off even one more day.

Let me help you…

Time bandits are coming to rob you blind

What do phone calls, lunch breaks, ringing doorbells, unexpected errands, Sean Connery, Shelley Duvall, John Cleese, and Katherine Helmond all have in common? They’re all time bandits. Hmm…now that I’ve typed that down in black and white, something seems a little mixed up. Maybe I should explain.

Time bandits are coming to rob you blind

Time Bandits is a movie, too.

Yeah, I’m always talking about schedule control to help you manage your business. So, of course it makes sense to list some normal time bandits like phone calls, ringing doorbells, etc. But Sean Connery? And those other actors? Huh?

Well, just in case you’re too young to remember…or in case you just never heard of it, there was a movie with that title. And Sean Connery and those other actors (and more) were all part of the cast. I never saw the whole movie. But the original trailer for the movie is so funny. Take a couple of minutes and watch it…

OK…where was I?

Oh yeah. Schedule control. And time.

You can’t make the best use of your days, and be productive, without a schedule. And strategic thinking. And goal setting, prioritizing, delegating, problem solving, and good quick decision-making. Without those working for you, don’t be surprised when you find yourself looking for excuses to run errands. Or making phone calls that don’t help your business.

If any of that touched a nerve, or if some other similar actions sound like you, you’ve been had…by time bandits.

But never worry. Never fear. Because your friendly neighborhood R.O.N.D.A. (Responsive Organized Nonstop Digital Assistant) is here. With her RondaReady system superpowers she can help you leap over those bandits. Faster than a speeding bullet. Well, faster than you’ll ever be able to without a system anyway.

So, when you’re really ready to be the highly organized CEO of your business, get your own R.O.N.D.A.

Because I truly do wanna help you…

Business decision criteria sure beats going nowhere fast

I saw a list of business decision criteria in an article, online, yesterday. And it reminded me of a list I came up with for myself all those years ago. Because I knew I had to get things under control so I could build a business and work from home. And I wanted life to be on my terms as much as possible. Because I had small kids who were depending on me. So, my business idea had to fit into my specific lifestyle needs and wants.

The list I found included these…

  • Ease of implementation.
  • Cost.
  • Ease of modification/scalability/flexibility.
  • Employee morale.
  • Risk levels.
  • Cost savings.
  • Increase in sales or market share.
  • Return on investment.

Your business decision criteria are unique to you.

But the way you can record and track it all doesn’t have to be a start from scratch chore. In fact, you should take advantage of a system to jumpstart you and propel you forward faster. It doesn’t have to be my system…although I’m confident it’s the best…but you’ll go so much further, so much faster, with a good system.

Because it’s awesome how writing it down, so you can see it, can almost feel like you just got superpowers. And it’s sad how many new business owners end up feeling like the 90 pound weakling who needs to be rescued.

So, that’s why I created my system.

Because I wanna help entrepreneurs and new business owners avoid the time-sucking obstacles I had to overcome. Why go it alone, when you don’t have to? Why go through another day wondering what you can do to keep moving forward? And why lose another day to the status quo?

Those were questions I asked myself years ago. And the answers I found became the system I developed and used to help tons of business owners go from 5 figures to 6. Or go from 6 figures to 7.

And the RondaReady system can help you get back in control, too. And stay there. Check it out today. Because the best time to start is years ago. And the second best time is right now. Let me help you…

Business manual secret weapon

Have you ever heard of Richard Branson? Or Virgin Records or Virgin Atlantics Airways? Well, in case you haven’t, he’s a billionaire who’s had success in several industries. So, he knows a thing or two about the advantages of having a system and some form of a business manual. And last week I read a real interesting quote from him.

Your business manual can start out super simple.

Mr. Branson believes in writing things down. Hmm…who else is always talking about that. Uh…that would be ME.

But here’s what he said about it…

“It’s amazing how your ideas can take flight, so long as your write them down and share them with others. And as you can see from my story, a business plan doesn’t have to be a lengthy, well-thought-out proposal — it can be as simple as some notes in a notebook, or a scribble on the back of an envelope.”

How’s that for keeping it simple?

But you might be way past that. And either way, I spent years coming up with a system to help you convert your envelope scribbles  into a manual that some franchise brokerage firms charge upwards of $50,000 to put together. And even after spending all that money, they slap you into a template. A template! Are you kidding me?!

My RondaReady system is available for a tiny fraction of that. And with my system you get a personalized business manual. One that’s designed specifically for the way you prefer to operate your business. With sections to help you with everything from starting up to hiring employees and scaling from there.

So, when you’re really ready to be the highly organized CEO of your business, plug into the RondaReady System. I don’t guarantee you’ll reach billionaire status. But I do guarantee you won’t get there without a system.

And I recommend you get mine. Because I truly do wanna help you…

Stay Ready,

When employees don't cut the mustard

I don’t mean to let the cat out of the bag, but yesterday doesn’t hold a candle to this morning. Because I was able to sleep tight and get up and have a good square meal for breakfast. And just in case this is starting to sound strange, I’m illustrating figures of speech by using figures of speech. But do my examples cut the mustard? If not, please let me down easy.

Cut the mustard? Why is that a figure of speech?

What does it even mean? And how did it ever get started? Well, as it turns out, there are a lot of different explanations for it. And some forms of the expression…uh…figure of speech…go all the way back to the late 1800’s. According to one article, O. Henry, a famous author, used that phrase back in 1907. He wrote a story called The Heart of the West. And somewhere in the story he wrote the line: “I looked around and found a proposition that exactly cut the mustard.”

It seems like most people don’t know where it actually started. And probably don’t know exactly what it means. But modern definitions tend to describe it: “to succeed; to have the ability to do something; to come up to expectations”.

And since I’m in the business of helping business owners, I see a connection to hiring and firing employees. Of course, firing people is probably on the top of most business owners’ list of things they hate to do. But sometimes, for one reason or another, they just don’t cut the mustard. So…they haven’t succeeded or met expectations.

And what do you do then?

Well, you don’t have to guess or even spend any time figuring it out. Because my RondaReady system already has a whole section to ease you through the process. And how to keep track of every step so it’s at your fingertips with a couple of clicks.

It’s just one of the ways I can help you be the highly organized CEO of your business.

But I can’t help you if you don’t plug your business in. Today is the second best time to start. And the best time is long gone. So, I recommend jumping in today. Let me help you…

One on one time isn't just for athletes and parents

An article popped up in a sidebar this morning. And it caught my eye because I had just recently had a conversation with one of my clients about it. The article talked about how important it is to have one on one time with your kids. Of course, that’s if you have more than one kid. And I liked the ideas they shared for how to do it.

One on one time isn't just for athletes and parents

One on one time helps you focus.

If you still have growing kids around the house…and you wanna make sure each one of them feels important…try these ideas. Maybe you could play a video game with one of them. Or you could take a nice, long walk with one of them. And it could be fun to get one of them to help you cook dinner. Especially if you have a chef wannabe.

Or how about working on a special project with that kid who’s putting together something for science class? And if you’ve got a kid who’s getting old enough to drive (Heaven help us), take him or her with you on errands. That way they’ll start getting a feel for organizing the route as well as understanding potential weather and parking challenges.

I know you’re creative. So, I’m sure you can think of plenty more ideas like those. But the point is…it’s important to make each one of them feel important to you.

And this applies to business employees, too.

And I have a whole section about one on one time with employees in my RondaReady system. It’s the Management and Supervision section. That’s where you’ll develop a system for scheduling and managing this focused time. And you’ll be able to track feedback, both yours and theirs, for when it’s time to give those formal performance reviews. That way, most of the hard work will already be done.

And if you’re good with trying to keep it all in your head, or “get to it” when you can, then you don’t need my system.

But if you’d rather be the highly organized CEO of your business, then don’t wait another day. Plug your business into the RondaReady System and build your business better and faster.

I can help you…

Stay Ready,

Avoid a Tropical Storm Eta in your business

I read a news article about Tropical Storm Eta this morning. And it said there’s “dangerous flooding across Florida’s most densely populated urban areas on Monday after it made landfall in the Florida Keys.” Apparently there are a lot of stranded cars and neighborhoods that have no place for the water to drain.

Avoid a Tropical Storm Eta in your business

And Tropical Storm Eta could still become a minimum hurricane.

Yikes.

I don’t know about you, but massive flooding and hurricane winds spook me. And I’m sure glad I live way above sea level right now. Because can you imagine how much planning and organization there has to be to prepare for a foot of rain? And that’s on top of another foot of rain that already happened.

The article I read said city officials, in Fort Lauderdale, sent out around 24 tanker trucks with giant vacuums to soak up as much water as possible. And they handed out 6,000 sandbags to local residents.

And I can only imagine how difficult it’ll be for anyone still there to get food and water. So, I hope the people in charge have plans in place.

Yeah, you probably already figured out I’m connecting this story to what I’m always talking about. Right? And that’s because basically every situation in life requires at least some sort of system.

Moms working at home with kids. Solo entrepreneurs, And giant corporations. Without a system they all are on the verge of a tropical storm of confusion with massive floods of chaos.

How’s that for a doom and gloom analogy?

But here’s the good news.

My RondaReady system can help you put a giant sandbag wall up around your business. And it can also help you vacuum up the floodwaters of disorganization.

But you should only jump into my system when you’re really ready to be the highly organized CEO of your business. Don’t let the storms sneak up on you, and…

Brain dump to another state

Imagine getting up tomorrow morning and everything’s the same as usual. You go through your morning routine. And you slog through your coffee and bagel. But for some unknown reason you decide to start writing some of your thoughts down on your notepad lying there on the kitchen counter. Suddenly you can feel your brain dump out tons and tons of hidden clutter. And then, even more suddenly, you’re transported to another state. No flashing lights. No bells and whistles. Just gone.

With a quick brain dump you’re suddenly somewhere strange, unfamiliar, and yet wonderful.

And within a couple of minutes you realize this new state isn’t Alabama or Wyoming. It’s not even Florida or California. No, you…my intrepid entrepreneur…have just entered the state of

Bliss.

Where brain clutter and distracting thoughts and tons of facts and figures don’t exist. In fact, look closely. And you might see all of that boxed and stacked neatly in clean corners marked with details like you’ve never experienced before.

Such is the state of business Bliss.

Where, with some time and adjustment, you realize you can let all those brain burdens quietly flow out of your head. Because they’re gonna be organized into a system you don’t have to keep in your head.

And the best part of that is what will then flow back into your head.

Creativity. Dreams. Ideas. And Passion.

And just think. It all started because you decided to pick up a pencil and write down your thoughts.

But is this all just fantasy land?

Well, yes. If you never pick up the pencil.

So, consider trying a brain dump this weekend. And once you declutter your mind, consider getting my RondaReady system for a place to keep everything. Because it’s helped tons of business owners build and grow and become highly organized CEO’s. Not just some worker bee without a plan.

Time’s a-wastin’. Get started this week. Today. Right now. And…

Stay Ready,
Ronda
