Don't let your Cupcake business run out of dough for this reason

Cupcake business blues…

Jane (not her real name) hired her sister to help with her new cupcake bake shop. What could go wrong? I mean cupcakes. Sisters. What kind of bakers wouldn’t want a delightful cupcake business? And everything was great. For about a month.

After about a month the cupcake business ran out of frosting.

That’s when the cupcake bake shop wasn’t pulling in enough people to pay the bills…let alone any left over for the sisters. Disaster hit hard. They quickly discovered how sisterly love doesn’t always erase unmet expectations.

Frustration led to harsh words. Harsh words led to hurt feelings. And hurt feelings led to a damaged relationship, more losses, and a broken business.

In my RondaReady business coach CRM system I talk about this. And how it happens, a lot, as a result of hiring people based on feelings, not facts.

Instead of hiring someone because they’re related…or they’re your best friend…it’s best to define what jobs are needed. Then, clearly define the tasks and responsibilities for those positions. And then go find the right talent for the positions.

This is true for just about any business owner.

Right now, I have a client experiencing the pain of hiring the wrong person for a particular job. Because his business needed a certain skillset for that job. But he hired someone based on feelings instead of needs. It didn’t go well. Now he has to let that person go. And that’s never any fun.

Think of all the lost time, resources, and money spent on the wrong person. But you can avoid that problem.

The RondaReady system has helped lots of other entrepreneurs, like you, successfully set up job criteria. And then, they were able to establish better hiring policies and procedures. And that sure helps them (and you).

So, invest in your own copy of the RondaReady System book, today. And it IS a good investment. Because it can pay for itself exponentially, and help you…

Survey says? Well, take one and find out.

And the survey says…

Remember the Family Feud show? Way back when, Richard Dawson would point to the big lit up answer board and yell, “Survey says!” And then the contestants would find out if their answer was there or not. But who did they survey for those answers? And why did it even matter? Well, of course, it was for the sake of a fun game show. But it also showed how groups of people think.

Have you ever found out what a survey says about your business?

A client of mine told me she didn’t “have a clue” what her customers wanted from her next. So, I suggested she take a survey.

“Take a survey? That sounds complicated” she said.

But I showed her how it doesn’t have to be. Here’s what I told her. And you can do this, too. It’s especially easy if you’re a member of the RondaReady business coach CRM system. Because a lot of the work is already set up for you there.

Come up with some questions you’d like answered. And if you’re unsure which survey software you’ll want to use, don’t let that be an obstacle. Create your questions anyway. And save them in a word document (or Pages if you’re on a Mac) named 90 -day Action Plan Survey Questions. Make it more creative if you like. But you get the idea. Keep the font red to remind you it’s not complete yet.

Then go to your task calendar. Create a task named Research Online Survey Software. And set it for a day you’ve time-blocked to work on your business. When you decide which service to use, create the survey. And then come back to the manual to update it and change the red font. And don’t let next steps be an obstacle for getting first steps done.

I hope you’re starting to realize how progress means way more than perfection.

And besides, perfection is impossible. It’s just a disguise for hesitation and procrastination. Now, this is a simple process, but it’s not easy. And if it was easy? That’s right…everyone would be doing it. And you know as well as I do, they’re not…which makes you the exception. So, be proud of yourself. And keep this in mind, too…

People like to help other people. All you have to do is ask.

So, invest in your own copy of the RondaReady System book, today. And it IS a good investment. Because it can pay for itself exponentially, and help you…

Communication is hard

Communication is hard – unless…

It’s so sad when I hear married couples say, “we don’t talk anymore.” Or when I see young couples arguing in public. And I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been in corporate meetings where heated opinions drowned out productive talk. Yeah, communication is hard when people choose to make it that way. And it’s definitely a choice.

So, do you choose to believe communication is hard?

And if so, do you think maybe it’s because you prefer to avoid it? I learned a long time ago, when you have difficulty communicating, talk about that. Sounds funny, right? But here’s what I mean…

Be willing to let people know you’re having a difficult time talking about something. That’s actually a great way to get communication started. And don’t be surprised if the other person shows a lot more understanding than you thought they would. Because there’s a good chance they felt the same way.

And if you’re worried you might lose your composure, stick to the following tips:

  • Remember to breathe. Anxiety can negatively affect your breathing. And that can lead to more anxiety.
  • Communication isn’t a race. So keep your rhythm. Keep your pace. And you’ll keep your composure.
  • Be quiet. People who are comfortable with silence often appear to be the smartest in the room. Negotiations 101 says whoever speaks first loses. Don’t let that be you.
  • Listen. Pay attention to questions. And give direct answers. They don’t hand out prizes for the longest answer. And the more words you use, the more likely you’ll say or do something wrong.
  • Focus. When you get off topic, you lose your audience. “Just the facts ma’am”

Remember, you have two ears and one mouth for a reason.

You learn a lot more by listening. You want to be heard? Listening will help get you there. And communication will become one of the easiest parts of your business. And when you wanna make all the rest of the parts of your business easier, plug into my RondaReady business coach CRM system. Lots and lots of clients have already increased their profits lots and lots. You should be next.

So, invest in your own copy of the RondaReady System book, today. And it IS a good investment. Because it can pay for itself exponentially, and help you…

Big accomplishment

I’d like to compliment your
big accomplishment

You know that big accomplishment you just enjoyed? Well, I’ll bet you your entire next year’s income that it didn’t happen all at once. Right? I can just see you. Getting all excited about your big ideas. Coming up with a name. And a look and a feel. Designing your logo. Or getting it designed. Putting together your plans, your website, and maybe even your office space. And then…

Your big accomplishment still didn’t happen.

You still had to figure out how you were gonna market your business. And who your target audience was. And how to reach them. Then, you had to budget for running the day-to-day operations. Not to mention (but I will) how you were gonna pay yourself and survive while you built up your business.

And I’m only scratching the surface on all the little details. Right?

So, I wanna give you a big pat on the back. And a much deserved compliment. Because you did what the vast majority of people will never do. You followed through. And you didn’t give up when you discovered yet another step you had to take. And I’m sure I don’t have to remind you how many unforeseen steps there ended up being. So…

Remember to celebrate as you complete those steps along the way. Reward yourself for hangin’ in there. That helps you stay motivated. And you deserve it! Plus, it’ll keep you on track to accomplish your dreams and goals. And there’s nothing like a proven system to help you stay on track and enjoy your victories.

My RondaReady business coach CRM system is the proven system I recommend. Because it has the one thing no other coaching system or CRM system has. ME! And no other coach wants you to succeed more than I do.

So, invest in your own copy of my RondaReady System book, today. And it IS a good investment. Because it can pay for itself exponentially, and help you…

Compare yourself to others unless you prefer reality

How do you compare yourself?

Well, you can compare yourself to others. Unless you prefer reality. Because the reality is what you see about those others, usually isn’t reality. Just a little bit ironic. Wouldn’t you agree?

Best practice is…compare yourself to yourself not to others.

It’s sort of like this. Ever been to a nice cocktail party? Or how about all those pictures and profiles on social media?

When I first started creating profiles online, I wanted to put my best face forward. Who wouldn’t? So, I made sure to get a professional picture. Set up a cover image with the “right info.” And then I checked out what others were doing to be sure I was holding my own online.

But then it dawned on me. People show you only what they want you to see.

And sometimes it can be discouraging to see those “perfect” profiles and pictures. But a bigger problem than that is…just look around enough and you can always find others you’re “better than”. Yeah, that’s when you can give yourself the wrong impression of YOU.

Those kinds of comparisons aren’t helpful. In fact, they can slow you down from being the best YOU possible.

The true measure of you success is simple…

Are you moving forward? Are you taking action each day to get you closer to what you want in your life? If you are, then it doesn’t matter what others are doing. That’s nothing but distraction. Unless there’s something in their content that helps motivate you. In that case, go ahead and let their story help propel you forward.

But remember- your success comes from following YOUR path. Focus on consistent improvements. Get where you wanna be. And if where you wanna be is the highly organized CEO of your own business…who’s making more money…the plug into RondaReady. It’s a proven business coach CRM system that’s helped lots of other aspiring business owners.

So, invest in your own copy of the RondaReady System book, today. And it IS a good investment. Because it can pay for itself exponentially, and help you…

Time waits for no one and it won't wait for you

Time waits for no one and it won’t wait for you

I sort of borrowed some lyrics for this, but it’s so, so true. Time waits for no one. And that’s why you shouldn’t wait around and wonder what to do either.

How important to your business (or your life for that matter) is schedule control?

Well, so important I dedicated almost a third of stage 2 in my RondaReady all-in-one business coach and CRM system to schedule control. So, it must be important. Right?

Yes.

I learned, really early on in my professional life, how, if I wasn’t in control of my schedule, someone else would be. And I’m waaayy too much of a CONTROL FREAK to let that happen. Because having someone else in control of my time spells out chaos and confusion to me. No thanks!

Sure, it takes work to set up a system to make you the captain of your own ship. But it’s worth it to know there’s no one else in control of your time and efforts. No one understands or cares about your goals and dreams as much as you.

I want to help you. And I want you to have the awesome proven tools in my RondaReady business coach CRM system to put you back in control. My clients have told me, over and over, how much better they can run their businesses once they regain control of their time. I’ve seen them make a whole lot more money and live much happier lives, too.

Definitely remember that…time waits for no one…

So, invest in your own copy of the RondaReady System book, today. And it IS a good investment. Because it can pay for itself exponentially, and help you…

Be prepared

Be Prepared

Hi. I hope you’re having a great day. And you’ll see in the video, I’m sharing, that I have a little extra on. A little hat. (the kids don’t really like it, but I do.) And gloves. Jacket. Turtleneck. Because it was extremely cold as I recorded the video. If you live in Colorado, you know what I mean. And that all brings me to my point: Be prepared.

Just like I had to be prepared for the cold, are you prepared to take your business to the next level?

Now, I mean TRULY prepared. In other words, be focused. Know where you’re going. And get and keep your schedule under control. Do you have all three areas of relationship building for your business systematized. And you better attract customers and clients. Be sure to connect with them. Also, don’t forget to nurture them after the transaction and/or connection phase of the relationship is done.

Do you have things in place to measure performance? And how are you keeping score? I mean, how do you really know what you’re doing? Are you putting together projections? And forecasting…so you know what goals you wanna hit? Do you have your processes and procedures documented? Because that makes it so much easier to create a turnkey business. And you’ll be able to train other people and set up tools to take your place in the day-to-day operations.

Know those answers and be prepared.

And if you’re not prepared, you might as well go out in minus 5 degrees weather with no outer protection. Uh…you can do it. But it won’t be fun. And you’re not gonna last long.

So, invest in your own copy of the RondaReady System book, today. And it IS a good investment. Because it can pay for itself exponentially, and help you…

You can't Be ready for anything

You can’t be ready for anything

“Hey! Did I read that right? Did she just say you can’t be ready for anything?” Yes, you read it right. But I probably need to make myself clear. Of course there are plenty of things you can prepare for. But you can’t be ready for everything. And I think too many people give that impression when they use that catchphrase.

Be ready for what you can be ready for today.

And there ARE things you can be ready for today. Like how you’re gonna continue to follow the course you set for yourself and your business today. Or how you’re gonna monitor your strategies for business components like schedule control, relationship building, and performance measurement. And how you’re gonna make sure your actions become habits. Because you know your habits set you on the fast track to a successful business. Right?

Isn’t it great when you can apply your efforts to a system you can modify and personalize to save you time and energy? It’s sorta like a good workout. Just set up the proper form first so you don’t injure yourself. And, of course, I’m talking about the injury to your business-building results. Easy to avoid with a plan that’s proven to work. And you already got that in place. So, you’re probably starting to feel like you can be ready for anything.

“What’s that? You DON’T already have that kind of system? And you HAVEN’T plotted your course so you can know where you’re going. AND you’re not taking actions that are turning into good business-building habits?”

“Oh no…get set for impending doom!”

Just kidding (mostly). I can’t promise you success in business. Because I don’t know how committed you are. But I CAN promise that when you commit and follow my RondaReady business coach CRM system, you CAN experience life-changing differences. Nothing and no one can get you prepared for everything because it’s impossible to know everything that can happen. But a proven system can help make you the highly organized CEO of your successful business.

So, invest in your own copy of the RondaReady System book, today. And it IS a good investment. Because it can pay for itself exponentially, and help you…

Be committed especially to not quitting

Be committed…before they commit you

Quitting. If you’re going to, do it before you start the thing. But after you start, be committed. I saw Dave Chapelle do a thought provoking skit about quitting in his latest stand up. He talked about how different Anthony Bourdain was to one of Dave’s high school friends. See if you agree…

On the surface, Anthony Bourdain had the good life by the tail. He was an American celebrity chef, author, and travel documentarian. And he starred in his own TV and cable programs. Pretty snazzy, right? By comparison, Dave’s high school friend started out in dire circumstances with apparently nothing going for him. And Dave pointed out how his friend was still going strong and making life happen. Meanwhile, Mr. Bourdain hanged himself at the age of 61.

So, you do need to be committed…especially to not quitting.

Seth Godin, a brilliant marketer, wrote a book called “The Dip.” In it he talks about quitting. And that there is a proper time to quit. He says quit before you start investing time and money into something you aren’t going to complete.

If quitting is an option for you from the start, then your journey doesn’t mean enough to you. Your desire and passion should be to make it work. To keep moving forward. And always looking for a way to make it happen. Your strategies might change. But you should never lose sight of your dreams and goals.

And if quitting IS an option for you, then please don’t even think about investing in my RondaReady business coach CRM system. Why put yourself through that extra hassle and spend that money, if you might quit in the middle?

My course is ONLY for entrepreneurs and business owners who can be committed and stay committed to success. For those kinds of people, it will pay for itself. Many times over.

So, invest in your own copy of the RondaReady System book, today. And it IS a good investment. Because it can pay for itself exponentially, and help you…

Premeditated resentments come from unspoken expectations

To the accusation of premeditated resentments
how do you plea?

Guilty. But don’t feel too bad about it. Lots of other business owners are guilty of premeditated resentments, too. But you don’t have to be a repeat offender. RONDA, your trusty advocate and organized System Savant is here to help you reform.

See if any of these descriptions sound like you…and I hope they don’t:

  • You put off hiring because you hate the headaches involved
  • When you hire a new employee, you have them “shadow” you
  • You don’t have any of your roles and responsibilities written down anywhere
  • You don’t have regular review times set up
  • There’s no system in place to help you automate and delegate
  • Feedback is too often in the form of angry or emotional outbursts

Unfortunately, that’s just the tip of the iceberg of problems that come with unspoken expectations.

And that’s where premeditated resentments come from.

One of my clients told me how he played the “shadow” game with his new employees. And I listened to him explain how he was the only one qualified to show them how things worked. But then he also admitted how he felt like he wasted so much time explaining things to newbies that he couldn’t concentrate on building his business.

So, I told him, “Instead of paying an employee AND still doing that job, why not make short, instructional, training videos?”

“That’s brilliant!” he replied.

And I thought to myself, “Not brilliant. Just efficient.” But I said out loud, “Do it once. And let the system repeat it for you.”

It seems like it should be common sense that systems help business owners become highly organized and successful. But too many of them don’t use that common sense. They fight it. And ultimately their business becomes a mental battlefield. With casualties of hurt feelings, bruised egos, and so much lost time. And guess what?

That’s time you can never get back.

And lost time is potentially lost money. And I’m sure I don’t even have to mention what losing money does to your life. Right? But it’s all so avoidable. All you gotta do is what one of my happy clients said to do, “If you don’t already have a RONDA, get one.” Of course, I can’t personally be there for everyone. No one can. But I have the next best thing. My RondaReady business coach CRM system is there for you 24/7/365 (or 366 this year).

Invest in your own copy of the RondaReady System book? And it IS a good investment. Because it can pay for itself exponentially, and help you…
