Write it down and give your head a break.

Get “it” out of your head
Write it down

You remember the story of Isaac Newton, right? He was sitting in the shade of an apple tree. Having a nice day. Enjoying the cool breezes. Then, an apple fell on his head. Uh-oh, decision time. Be mad about the bump on his head? Or examine what just happened and write it down? Hmm…what did Mr. Newton decide to do? I’m sure you already know. Or you’ve guessed.

If the brilliant Isaac Newton needed to write it down, you and I should too.

You’re a business owner. And I know you’ve got a lot of stuff in your head. Ideas. Dreams. Plans. Did I mention great ideas? But if you don’t write it down, you might end up stuck. Or worse yet, you might end up forgetting a lot (or all) of that great stuff.

You’ll find out, if you run a business long enough, you just can’t remember everything. And it might be in your personality to wanna try. But I encourage you to discourage that part of you. I know, from experience, when you write it down, you’re much less likely to forget or let your ideas fade away.

Even when you vow to follow through, stress creeps in. Day-to-day tasks pile up. You get too busy. Too tired. And when you least expect it, you’re procrastinating. “I’ll get to that tomorrow.” Sound familiar?

What’s a busy business owner to do?

Make a list. But not just any list. A list that includes only the steps, activities, or tasks that get you closer to your goals. You can accomplish more, and stay on track with those things that are most important to you, with a list.

I know I’ve mentioned it before. And I hammer home the point to my one-on-one clients. But it’s because I know it works, beyond a shadow of a doubt. When you take the (so-called boring) time to write it all down, you’ll begin to focus more on what’s truly important to you. It’s not magic. But it works like magic. Because you won’t be depending on your brain to remember it all. I like to think of it this way. Your brain is for creating…not storage.

My RondaReady system can help with all that storage stuff. It’s a proven system with places you can write down your great ideas, delegate tasks, automate actions, and build your business better and faster.

So, we’re at the start of the second work week of 2024. Do you want it to be just another Monday? If not, get yourself a copy of my RondaReady System Book and Get Ready to Be Ready and…

Stay Ready,
Ronda

Hiring practices take practice

5 Tips for better hiring practices
See how that includes “practice”?

Hourly or salary? That question pops up a lot when it comes time for a business owner to start hiring help. You can attract good workers and not-so-good workers with both payment models. So, I believe the real question is…which way do you believe will work best for your business and you as a business owner? And today I’m sharing 5 tips for better hiring practices to help you figure that out and work it out.

Hiring practices take practice

Better hiring practices can help you keep a better eye on your doors.

Getting the right people in the right positions can mean more sales. And more sales equals more money in the front door. Makes sense, right? But getting the wrong people in the wrong positions can wipe a lot of those profits right off the books. It’s what I call the “lack of efficiency expenses”. Like watching all the money that breezed through the front door just breezed right back out the back door.

But how do you watch both doors at the same time?

YOU can’t. But a proven system can. And you signed up for this business thing. So why not do it right and make it a whole lot easier on yourself…and your team? That being said, here are my 5 tips for better hiring practices. I’m not going into more details because that information is reserved for my clients and subscribers. But when you at least hit these high spots, you can go a long way toward hiring the right people in the right positions.

  1. Determine the roles and responsibilities in your company
  2. Hire responsibly (not just someone who can fog a mirror)
  3. Conduct a performance review at 90 days and consistently after that (don’t wait until you want to hide away from it all)
  4. Put together a budget for individual compensation raises (yeah, boring budget stuff, but saving more money’s not boring)
  5. Plan for bonuses if (when!) you meet those higher annual monetary goals

You can do this!! And the RondaReady business coach CRM system can help you get organized, get ready, and…

Stay Ready,

Where is your head right now?

Hey Mr. Or Ms. business owner,
Where is your head right now?

“Two men looked out from prison bars. One saw mud, the other stars.” Most people who use that quote give credit for it to Dale Carnegie. Maybe you remember him…he wrote “How to Win Friends and Influence People”. It’s a book still used, after 83 years, to motivate sales people. And just so you know…Mr. Carnegie came from a poor family in rural Missouri. But he didn’t let that hold him back. And that’s why I’m asking business owners, today, where is YOUR head?

The quote emphasizes the importance of perspective. And you could say it uses mud to illustrate looking down and stars to illustrate looking up. But it’s more important to notice how both men are looking at the same scene from the same place.

Every day, in business and in life, you’re faced with choices. And every choice can either propel you forward, keep you standing still, or maybe even drive you backward. But the most important choice you can make is how you’ll respond to the results. Yes, it IS your choice. Whether you’ll be bitter, angry, and depressed…or eager, inspired, and glad.

You and I get the same 24 hour days as everybody else. So, in a way, we’re all looking at the same thing when it comes to time. And when you choose to look up during your productive hours, you can see the stars: opportunities, ideas, success. But when you choose to look down, don’t be surprised to find yourself stuck in the mud: shortcomings, fears, failures

I’ve been there. In fact, I bet everybody’s been there at some point in life. It’s why I decided to share my system with entrepreneurs and business owners. I want to help you save more time, make more money, and have more freedom.

I know, from experience, when you put systems in place, it can change your whole perspective. And you won’t feel like you’re fighting the world all on your own.

Where is your head right now?

So…where is your head right now?

In the mud? Or in the stars? If you’ve been seeing more mud than stars, let me know. I’d like to help you get ready, and…

Stay Ready,

Ronda

All hands on deck - except the doubters of course.

Hey Captain…
Are all hands on deck?

Ahoy mates. All hands on deck. Well, maybe not “ALL.” This is one of my absolute favorite quotes. “Make sure everyone in your boat is rowing and not drilling holes when you’re not looking.” But I wish I knew who said it first. And you’ll most likely see me (or hear me) use it again and again. Because there are many times when owning a business can feel like rowing upstream. You certainly don’t need the added headaches of someone drilling holes in your boat. Right?

Yeah, all hands on deck except for the doubters.

You’re always gonna have doubters. Sure as the sun is yellow. Or is it really some other color and we’ve just been trained, through our culture, to believe it’s yellow. See? That’s how doubters try to sneak into your brain. So, here’s what you do. Send your doubters somewhere else. You’ve got work to do.

Starting your own business takes courage. And that means you need…no, you absolutely require, only people around you who will support you.

No, they don’t have to be as passionate about your business as you. But they DO need the skills and willingness to stick by you through thick and thin. And be there to listen and encourage.

Your own business is sorta like your own child.

You had the idea. And you brought it to life. And you nurture it so it’ll grow. Because you want it to be able to stand on its own two feet. And make something of itself.

But then, along come the doubters. The ones who, when you hit a bump in the road, are ready to give up. And since they can’t go on, they want you to give up, too. After all, what if you succeed and make them look bad for doubting?

Doubters don’t see how your business is a part of you. They just see it as an idea you try as long as everything is easy. But they forget about the old saying, “When the going gets tough, the tough get going.” They just wanna let go.

This all came up in one of my recent client meetings. The business owner’s wife doesn’t understand his passion for building his business. And it’s nearly crippling his productivity and success. He’s torn between consistently explaining his efforts to her and focusing on day-to-day business chores.

That’s part of why it’s so important to build your business to be more independent and self sufficient. Then it won’t consume you and your time. It’ll only consume the doubters. And with a proven system you’ll build your business better and faster. And that means you’ll have more time with those closest to you.

I don’t doubt it a bit.

Remember, when you’re really, really ready to get ready, get RondaReady and…

Stay Ready,

Choose your life and Change the world

Choose your life and change the world

You don’t change the world just by living in it. World changers make tough choices. And they don’t do it by complaining and grumbling. In fact, I can say, from personal experience, they’re usually the first ones with a smile on their face and a song on their lips.

Choose your life and Change the world

Do you think you can change the world, for the good, with a bad attitude?

That was a rhetorical question, by the way. Of course you can’t. When your mom or grandma, or someone else in charge, used to tell you to turn your frown upside down, they were looking out for you. And they wanted you to be able to see and be your best self. Read these words from an Eric Clapton song. And I dare you to say it doesn’t make you feel good.

“If I could change the world,
I would be the sunlight in your universe.
You would think my love was really something good,
Baby, If I could change the world.”

Everybody has certain gifts. Those skills or traits that make you uniquely you. That make you the sunlight in somebody’s universe. Do you know what yours are? And if so, do you make a daily conscious effort to share them with others? If you don’t, it shouldn’t come as any surprise to you when they don’t wanna share theirs with you either. Albert Einstein (you’ve heard of him, right?) said…

“Man is here for the sake of other men.”

Your life will be much more fulfilling when you pursue your purpose. And that purpose is to serve others the best way your special gifts will allow. If you’re not sure what yours are, ask the people closest to you. I’ll bet they’re willing to help you figure it out. And when you do, start living it. Keep your head up, look forward, and make that change.

And by the way, in case you didn’t know, I have a business coach CRM system that can help you keep track of your progress. It does sooo much more, too. So, remember, when you’re really, really ready to get ready, get RondaReady and…

Stay Ready,

Reach for the stars and grab your piece of pie

Reach for the stars
and get a piece of pie

I just saw the movie, Aeronauts, on Amazon Prime Video. And I highly recommend it. Especially if you enjoy period movies. And this one is set in England at the time when hot air balloons were the way for humans to fly. By the way…it’s based on true events. One of my favorite lines in the movie (and it’s a great lesson for business owners) was this: “Some reach for the stars, some push others toward them.”

Reach for the stars and grab your piece of pie

When you reach for the stars, you might actually get that pie in the sky.

The Aeronauts were the ones who flew the hot air balloons. And the main character in the movie wanted to prove he could accurately predict weather patterns. Of course, he was laughed at and ridiculed by naysayers. But his data told him it was more than possible. He was confident it was probable.

The problem this guy had was he wasn’t an actual Aeronaut. He needed help. A pilot. And he found one in a flamboyant woman who proved to be more help than he ever imagined.

I don’t wanna spoil it for you. But you should really watch it if you haven’t already. Especially if you’re an entrepreneur who could use some help taking your business to those next levels. Those bluer skies where you can see more clearly and better predict what’s coming and where you’re going next.

Maybe you just need a pilot to help you navigate those skies.

Well, there’s no time like the present. Particularly since we’re right at the beginning of a brand new year. Make 2020 the year you commit to getting the help you need to build your business.

My RondaReady business coach CRM system can help you fill your balloon and get it soaring. Or better yet, I can help you trade in your balloon for that private jet you’ve been dreaming of. (Figuratively speaking, of course…unless you’re that business owner who actually needs a jet.)

Anyway, I encourage you put on your goggles, hire your personal pilot (in other words, get my system), get ready, and…

Stay Ready,
Ronda

Hindsight is 2020 Unless it’s not

Hindsight is 2020 unless it’s not

Well, here we are. 2020 is brand new today. Happy New Year! And my hope for you, this year, is that you’ll see business results like you’ve never seen before. And I mean in a totally good way. So when you get to this time next year, you can can say “Hindsight is 2020” and be glad for what you see.

Hindsight is 2020 Unless it’s not

2020 Hindsight usually isn’t talking about positive things.

The Grammarist website describes the saying like this: “hindsight is 20/20 is usually said in answer to an admonishment that the person should have known something would happen, or that the person made a bad decision.”

Maybe you’ve even used that saying on yourself. Most people in business have. And I can remember being one of those on more than one occasion. But it was usually with regards to something I could have avoided by making better choices. Or choosing faster.

Take the offer on my RondaReady business coach CRM system for example. During the last days of 2019 I reminded you how my prices for this year would be going up. And did you take me up on the better year-end price?

Or were you one of those business owners who decided you’d rather pay more this year? If that’s the case, I have good news. The same links I used during 2019 now take you to that place you waited for.

Looking back at those posts from 2019 won’t change that.

But never worry. Never fear. I’ll be doing all I can to give you even more value with my proven system this year. Because I’m confident that even though you’ll spend more to get it now, it’ll still pay for itself over and over again.

OK. We’ve got the whole price change in place. So, I won’t bring it up again. I really don’t like talking about it any more than anyone likes hearing it. But it’s a done deal. And I’m looking forward to some positive 2020 hindsight. Who’s with me? Let’s get ready, and…

Stay Ready,

Old year new year - they begin and end here

Old Year New Year

You’ve probably seen those old year new year illustrations. Right? The ones that show the previous year going out as an old man with a long white beard. And the new one coming in like a young child or baby. Well, like this old pic for example…

Old year new year - they begin and end here

Old year New Year is also a picture of change.

And like I’ve been talking about, things are gonna change a lot here at RondaReady.com. Starting tomorrow. Prices are gonna go up on my business coach CRM system.

During much of 2019 I’ve shared a lot of opportunities to get a proven business building system for a LOT less than I paid for a system. And for a lot less than my one-on-one clients pay me. I’m so glad for the ones who took me up on my offer. Because they got what’s probably gonna be the best priced deal I’m ever gonna be able to offer.

But if you weren’t one of those people, and you’re still undecided, I urge you to decide today. Give yourself the gift you and your business will never forget. And never regret.

Do it today. Because by this time tomorrow, you’ll pay a lot more for it.

And just in case you haven’t seen what’s included, click on the RondaReady System link at the top of the page. (Or the one I just inserted) You’ll see testimonials from people in a wide variety of businesses. And they all grew and improved their businesses with my proven system.

You can also watch videos that help explain how the system works. And how it can benefit you…starting today.

But it can only benefit you at the current price for the rest of today.

Tomorrow starts off 2020 with a new price.

So, don’t delay. If you try these same links after today, they won’t take you to the lower prices. Let me help you today. Let’s get ready, and…

Stay Ready,
Ronda

And if you’re ready to build your business faster,

Down to the wire for the year and for the RondaReady deal

A couple of important things are coming down to the wire

If you’re a sports fanatic, you’ve probably heard that phrase a lot of times. It’s used in basketball games, football games, track and field, and more. But by most guesses, “down to the wire” actually started with horse racing. And probably at least as far back as 1889.

Down to the wire for the year and for the RondaReady deal

Way back when, a wire was used to determine the winner of a close horse race.

A publication called Scribner’s Magazine described a close horse race like this: “As the end of the stand was reached Timarch worked up to Petrel, and the two raced down to the wire, cheered on by the applause of the spectators.”

Now that you know that little tidbit of information you can be a hit at all the best trivia parties next year.

Or…

Maybe you can think of your business as a horse in a race. And that race is coming down to the wire for 2019. Have you given your horse the best chance to cross the finish line first? Or has it been another lackluster ride at best?

Well, 2020 will be here faster than you can sip a Kentucky Derby mint julep. There’s no getting around it.

And something else is coming down to the wire, too.

The prices for my RondaReady business coach CRM system. Yes, they’re going up. My goal was to keep them crazy low for any and all takers in 2019. And we did that. But, following the advice of two different marketing coaches (yes, a business coach needs coaches, too) I’ll be raising the rates quite a bit starting January 1.

So, if you’ve been riding the fence (instead of the fastest horse) about getting a system to help you build your business better and faster, now’s the time to jockey up. I can’t hold the reigns back any longer than December 31. And I’m not going till midnight either.

But even if you don’t take advantage of my low system prices before then, be sure your horse is ready for 2020. And I’d love to help you…

Stay Ready,
Ronda

And if you’re ready to build your business faster,
or you wanna know more, we should talk.

Radio City Music Hall or neglected old neighborhood?

Is your business like the Radio City Music Hall?
Or is it still a neglected old neighborhood?

I saw, from a link in an ad, that on this date in 1932, Radio City Music Hall opened. And thousands of people turned out for the hoopla. And since then over 300 million people have been entertained there. Some would probably call that a successful venture. Right?

Did you know Radio City Music Hall grew out of a neglected neighborhood?

Yeah, it turns out a billionaire, John D. Rockefeller (maybe you’ve heard of him), decided to build his Rockefeller Complex in a yucky old neighborhood in midtown Manhattan. Well, at least it was yucky at the time. And John D. partnered with another possibly familiar company, Radio Corporation of America. Better known as RCA.

They hired a guy named Donald Deskey to design the building. And he came up with a really cool Art Deco idea made up of shiny and versatile materials of the day. Their theme was “Progress of Man.” And the huge main stage looks like the setting sun. And they even installed hydraulic powered elevators for staging effects. And those are still being used today. How cool is that?

What does all that have to do with your business?

Maybe nothing. Or maybe your business resembles one or the other. Does it feel like a dazzling Radio City Music Hall full of energetic entertainment? Or does it feel more like an old neighborhood you’d rather just close the doors on? If it’s more like the dust district to you, don’t give up.

My RondaReady business coach CRM system was designed for business owners who need help remembering and rekindling their original vision. You can get it back. And it’s not so complex to build your own “complex.” AND, you don’t have to be a Rockefeller. Well, I should say, you don’t have to be a billionaire. But you do have to work it. Good news is, I’ve set up the design with all the hydraulic powered elevators in place. All you gotta do is get ready, and I’ll help you…

Stay Ready,
Ronda
