Better today than yesterday

Are you better today than yesterday?

Ever heard that old Stevie Wonder song where he sings, “I love you more today than yesterday…but not as much as tomorrow?” It’s a love song with obvious goals built in. The person in the song is working toward loving someone more every day. But sometimes goals can make you feel like a failure. Especially when you fall short. When your intentions didn’t meet your expectations. And especially when you’re holding yourself accountable to being better today than yesterday.

When you want to be better today than yesterday, be sure to use the right measuring tool.

Wayne Dyer, in his book “The Power Of Intention,” talks about being “better today than I used to be.” Notice the noun. I…not he. Or she. Or they. And that’s the right measuring tool. Right?

You wanna make sure you’re not as productive and successful as you could or should be? Then, by all means, look for more successful people to compare yourself to. And here’s the problem. Depending on where you look, you can ALWAYS find someone achieving more. You can also find others achieving less. And that can give you a false sense of security about yourself.

So looking outside isn’t the answer. Don’t get me wrong. You can certainly look to others to help motivate you beyond where you are. But YOUR true measure of success is whether you’re better today than yesterday? You might amaze yourself when you just work a daily routine toward what you want to achieve.

Steadily move yourself closer to your goals everyday. And by the way…in case you haven’t noticed before, my RondaReady business coach CRM system has the tools to help you put it all in place. So, when you’re really, really ready to get ready, book a free call with me.

Get ready for this

Get ready for THIS

I’m practically a broken record on the topic of getting ready and staying ready. It’s even in my tag line and almost always the last thing I say in each of my posts. But it’s because I believe there’s nothing more important for business owners to understand. Business is not for the weak and unprepared. You gotta get ready for this!

Business can get hot AND cold. Even the giants like Apple, Amazon, and Google can tell you this is true. This world of business you decided to jump into doesn’t care how nice you are. It doesn’t care how wonderful your products and services are. And it doesn’t care how much you care. That sounds harsh. But it’s just reality. So…

You gotta get ready for this.

Let’s use the real estate market as an example. Because it certainly has more than its fair share of ups and downs. And here’s what happens. When it’s all going great, real estate agents are too busy to do effective marketing. And when sales and listings are slow and  low, fear can set in. Then it feels like there’s not enough money to do any effective marketing.

But here’s the difference between a savvy agent and an unprepared one. Mr. or Ms. Savvy has a system. A proven system to help them through ups AND downs. I mean…you gotta admit…consistent and predictable income sure beats wondering where and when the next commission is coming. But that proven system I mentioned (like mine, for example) can help you…

  1. Always stay in front of your database (even with an automated process)
  2. Find and secure more prospects to share your services with (automation works there, too)
  3. Develop automated workflows so nothing falls through the cracks

And when you put your predictable processes in place, you can enjoy the peace and rewards of being a smart business owner. So, when you’re really, really ready to get ready for this, book a free call with me, and…

Queen of Sorts should not be your business advisor

The Queen of Sorts

Queen Elizabeth, of England, often makes the news for things she says. And she is a queen, so I guess many people listen when she does. Recently she mentioned how, in certain situations, she’d just ignore a lie. Or even let it go, depending on those situations of course. She said it “all gets sorted out in the end.” (Imagine that being spoken with a royal British accent.) That’s why I called her the Queen of Sorts. And that philosophy might work for her. But it’s bad advice for business owners.

You can’t be a queen of sorts in business because perception becomes reality.

And by the way, you can’t be a king of sorts either. This is true for men AND women. Old AND young. In fact, there isn’t a demographic where this isn’t true. You can’t just ignore lies about your business. Or always hope for them to just go away. Because, very often, they won’t go away. And they might even grow and perpetuate.

A business…at least one where you hope to sell stuff and make a profit and take care of yourself and your family…must be trustworthy.

You and your business need credibility. And you need to be seen as the trusted expert in your field. When issues of trust or lies take place in your organization, they need your attention. And I recommend you look ’em square in the face. Hit ’em head on. Then, make any adjustments necessary to blast those trust issues out of the water.

Sometimes you can communicate directly with your audience, customers, or clients. Other times, it gets a little more involved. But whatever it takes, don’t ignore it. Because it won’t always sort itself out. Deal with it fast, and keep moving forward.

I added tools to my RondaReady business coach CRM system to help you with this and so much more. So, remember, when you’re really, really ready to get your business ready, get RondaReady and…

Employees talking too much

Employees talking too much?
Not in this case.

Have you ever worked somewhere, or for someone, where a non-disclosure agreement was required. Those places and people don’t want their private, secret, or vital information to get out to competitors. And they know about the many cases of employees talking too much when they’ve been terminated. Or when they quit.

But there’s another kind of employees’ talk that’s actually not so bad. For example, with some of my one-on-one clients I take time each week to help mentor their employees. And recently I spoke with one of my clients’ office manager. She had learned how to use the RondaReady CRM system, and here’s what she said…

See? You wouldn’t say this is a case of employees talking too much. Right?

Aren’t those the best kind of days? When things run smoothly. And you feel in control, and more things get done. I’m sure you’ve been on the other side of that, too. We all have. It’s a learning experience most people would rather not have to experience. And if you’re like most business owners (or employees), you’d rather have someone show you how to skip those parts.

That’s exactly why I spent years building and developing my system. Because I went through those same days of drudgery. Those days and weeks…and even years of figuring out how to automate my business. And then to delegate parts of it so I could focus on what I’m best at.

The RondaReady system has helped scores of other entrepreneurs, like you, organize and delegate so more work gets done in less time. And that means more FREEDOM. And before you know it, you might be hiring your own “Amy”.

Build a relationship with more communication

Say more and build a relationship

Relationships aren’t just statistics. But take a look at these stats for a second. Two percent of sales are made on the first contact. And eighty percent of sales are made after five to twelve points of contact. But typically, only ten percent of sales people make more than three contacts. And yet, statistically, ninety percent of sales are made on the fourth contact or after. Whew! You can boil all those numbers down to, you’d better build a relationship with someone if you want their business.

I’m always talking about how important it is to establish and use a consistent system for following up with people. But it sounds like a lot of work, doesn’t it? Well, it is. But you know what’s even more work? Not having a system. Because there’s no way you’ll be able to keep all those contacts in your head. Let alone making at least five points of contact with each one. And remember, most sales people stop after one or two points of contact. So, your competition is practically giving you a bunch of leads and prospects.

Here’s another reason you gotta build a relationship to convert more prospects to clients.

The law of diffusion.

That’s a fancy way of talking about numbers again. And how you need to share more communication more information to help people make up their minds. When you help them make up their minds, they become YOUR customers and clients.

I go into those numbers a lot more in the RondaReady system. And I talk about how building those relationships wins you referrals and increases your sphere of influence.

So, I can hear you saying, “Oh man, more work? I don’t do any real follow up now. And this will create so much more work for me.” But in a proven system you can go back and review why you started your business in the first place. You’ll have it all written down and laid out where you can easily find it anytime you need a reminder.

And when you make it a routine, you’ll find you have more time, not less. Because you’ll get rid of all that pesky wasted indecision time you’re spending now. You’ll control your days instead of them controlling you. And wasting less time means you’ll be doing more of the right things to get the results you want.

By the way, you can set up your own system for a whole lot less than you might think. But tomorrow is not the time to start, if you catch my drift. The best link to get going is below.

Sure, you've had issues. But did you die?

But did you die?

I keep seeing this bumper sticker as I drive around town. It says, “But did you die?” The Urban Dictionary says that’s “A question used to indirectly tell someone that they’re complaining about something of no importance.” And apparently it was made famous by a character in a movie.

Stretching builds strength

Experiences that take you to your limits…and even beyond what you thought your limits were…can make you stronger. I’m sure you’ve seen movies or TV shows where the main character had to go through excruciating and painful troubles. On a mountain. In a desert. Out on the open seas. Maybe that’s even been you. And you thought there was no way you could go on.

But did you die?

Change is a catalyst for growth. And when you give into the fear of change, you can stunt growth. So, it’s important to acknowledge and feel the fear. But then, do it anyway. Take on the stuff you think you’ll never be able to do. Grab hold of the things you think you can’t possibly hold on to. Like the old song says, “reach for the impossible dream.” Because, those are the best goals.

Have you noticed how the proudest times in your life are typically during a time of change or challenge? It’s why you like those kinds of stories in movies and TV shows. And you prefer to watch the main characters struggle and overcome. Because that’s what you have to do. Right? You wanna see them accomplish the outcome they desire. Not just have it handed to them on a silver platter. And you put yourself in their place. You become that central character.

If you’re nodding your head in agreement, you’re the kind of person I love to help. Especially if you’re a business owner. Because I know you’re willing to take action, do the work, and see it through. And you know you won’t die doing it. So, I want you to jump into my online business coach CRM system. Start building your business better and faster this year. Don’t put it off.

Goal setting 2020 with the RondaReady accomplishment board

Goal setting 2020

I know it’s a new year and all. But goal setting 2020 is really no different from other years. And it still makes a huge difference in what you’re likely to accomplish for the year.

This is a good time of year for goal setting 2020.

We’re right at the beginning. And I know a lot of people like to do “vision boards”. In the RondaReady system I call it the Accomplishment Board. And that’s what I teach. Accomplishments. On the board, you’ll write down all those things you’d like to see happen this year. For you and your business. I like to use a couple of guidelines to make it easier.

Use different colors as you write down your goals. One color for your business goals. Another for your personal goals. And maybe you have some physical goals or relationship goals. Use different colors for each one so you can easily see each one at a glance. And I encourage you to write them down in the PAST tense. As though you’ve already accomplished them. It’s much more empowering to say things like, “I am…” or “I did…” or “I have…” than to say things like, “I want…” or “I need…” Gets your subconscious working better.

Make sure you put these goals in a place where you can look at them anytime.

Because it’s amazing how much better you focus when you have those thoughts in your head.

Only about three percent of the population writes down goals. And it’s that three percent who tend to get what they want out of life. So, it’s worth it to take the time. Write your accomplishments down. Break ’em down into small steps. And get what you’re after this year. Make it a great year.

And remember, when you’re really, really ready to get ready, book a free call with me and…

Keeping the fun in the Fundamentals of business

Keeping the fun in
the fundamentals of business

A pro sports coach and his team just lost the game. They’re headed off the field. And somebody walks up to him, with a mic in hand, and asks, “Coach, this is a tough loss. Where do you go from here?” If you’ve watched sports on TV long enough, you’ve heard this kind of answer over and over, “Well, I can say it’s one thing. We really need to get back to the fundamentals.” And in most cases, he’s right. Right? Same is true for the fundamentals of business.

Sports are a great way to watch others who’ve mastered their skills. And sports analogies make great illustrations for running a business. After all, they’re alike in a lot of ways. Athletes have to develop and master skills. Business owners have to do that, too. Athletes have to see and reach their goals in order to score. Business owners have to reach goals, too. Because achieved goals can lead to profits and prosperity.

But what if you haven’t mastered the fundamentals of business?

A quarterback can throw an interception that can lead to losing the whole game. Baseball pitchers have lost their jobs just because they couldn’t pitch enough strikes. And sometimes businesses suffer and fail because the owner did down the basics.

But athletes have a distinct advantage over business owners. From an early age, they’re taught the fundamentals of the game by their parents, or friends, and eventually coaches. But who taught you the fundamentals of running a successful, sustainable business as you were growing up? And I’m talking about a successful, sustainable business you can enjoy running for years. Maybe even a lifetime. A business that doesn’t run you into the ground from sheer exhaustion. It’s sort of like the athlete who stops having fun playing the game they always loved.

I hope none of that describes you and your business.

Because there ARE coaches and tools to help keep you at the top of your game. And the right system will help you master the fundamentals of business. As it just so happens, I know of a system like that. It’s online, with a proven coaching method and all-inclusive, automated contact and marketing system. And it’ll help you and your business stay off the “injured list.”

Inconceivable - does that word mean what you think it means?

Inconceivable

Have you ever seen the movie, “The Princess Bride?” There are so many great lines in it. So great, in fact, a lot of them have become catchphrases used by millions. One of my favorites was actually a catchword instead of a phrase. “Inconceivable!”

That was the one word Vizzini, the little kidnapper villain, kept saying when something was happening that he thought could never happen. And he liked to brag about how brilliant he was. But he had never conceived of the Dread Pirate Roberts being able to thwart and defeat him at every turn.

Maybe Vizzini should have conceived a better plan. And maybe a better and clearer vision of the outcome would have avoided so many inconceivable mishaps. But then again, he was a villain, and it was a movie, and I’m glad the good guys won.  🙂

I said all that to share the idea of concepts with you. And they’re not inconceivable.

Have you ever stopped to ask yourself, “What do I want?” And “Why do I want it?” Answer those 2 key questions, and you’ll be on your way to developing the core concepts of and for your business.

I’ve helped scores of business owners and entrepreneurs find their answers to those questions. And I’ve also helped them to realize how coming up with those concepts will give you the vision to keep you on track.

I hope you’re already there in your business. But if you’re not, I suggest you work with someone who cares enough to show you HOW to do it as well as tell you WHERE to do it.

Of course, I believe that’s me. But you don’t have to take my word for it. Lots of my clients will tell you the same thing. I posted a bunch of them in the sidebar of RondaReady.com. The good news is…you can get my system and processes for a lot less money than they did. But, Shh…don’t tell them.

Income goals are part of your roadmap to success.

‘What are your income goals?

Yesterday I encouraged you to “write it down”. And I showed you how writing down your dreams, ideas, and plans helps you to use your brain for creating instead of storage. Today I wanna talk about one important thing to write down. Income goals.

Income goals are part of your roadmap to success

In the RondaReady system I help you create what I call your recovery calendar. It’s a way for you to write down (and map out) your desired time away from your business for the coming year. There are some Type-A people who disagree that driven business owners need time away from their businesses. But I say, let’s keep a close eye on what their health is like when they’re old. Hopefully it’ll be just fine. But many of those business owners don’t live long lives. Or their health suffers a lot.

OK, moving on…

When you see how to set up the goals for your income, you’ll also see how it helps you plot out your roadmap to success. And remember…if you don’t know where you’re going, how will you know when you get there?

In that section of training, I show you specific and variable ways to figure out your “number”. Then what? I say write down that number. Hmm…can you see a theme forming? Yes, written goals have a way of becoming achieved goals.

In the system, you’ll be able to follow a simple formula. And it’ll even help you work on your projections. The formula talks about gross, net, expenses, and profit margins. You’ll see how to factor in the weeks in your work year. And why that’s so important. And while budgeting isn’t actually a part of my courses or system, I DO help you set things up so you can stay on top of your budget.

It’s not rocket science. But there IS an art and science to it.

And it’s a proven system to help you meet your income goals and avoid burnout. So, when you’re really, really ready to get ready, get RondaReady and…

So, that’s why the very first lessons in RondaReady YOUniversity are designed to help you discover your Vision. And they can help you focus your energy in the direction you’d actually like to go. With strategies to help you know how to get there.

How about we talk about it some more? Book a free call with me, with that handy calendar below. And give me a chance to see where you wanna go in life. I’d love to help YOU if I can. Let’s talk soon.
