Small efforts big results. Rinse and repeat.

Robert Collier was one of the original self-help and success authors. He worked on some book ideas, day and night for a long time. And his persistence paid off. Because within six months after the books were published, he received more than one million dollars worth of orders for them. And I like this quote from him that says, “Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day-in and day-out.”

See that? Small efforts. Every day.

Everywhere you look, people wanna find the shortcut to success. Why figure out how to run a business when you can just start a wildly successful YouTube or Instagram channel? Ha! That makes me think of a video interview I just watched where a young guy said we should stop all farming.

Sure, he had his “reasons.” But they were hardly based in reality.

And the reality is that shortcuts to real success are just those small daily efforts. Because humans need to work. YOU need something to occupy your brain and keep you focused and interested.

And guess what? That’s what WORK does. Yes, work. Those “small efforts, repeated day-in and day out.”

Now, think about this. Have you ever had a day when you didn’t have something to do? Yes? And wasn’t it boring? You bet. So, you figured out something to do, even if it wasn’t productive. And you DID it. Then, at the very least, you weren’t bored.

Am I ringin’ any bells?

So, you gotta make the decision to be successful. Then, you can find the right projects, or products, or services, or information to work on. And you can start those small efforts and keep doing them until they produce bigger and bigger results. Then, one day, you’ll discover you’re successful.

But you gotta focus. And you gotta know who you are. And what you want. Because how can you get where you wanna go if you don’t even know where that is? Here’s another quote from Robert Collier I like,

“One might as well try to ride two horses moving in different directions, as to try to maintain in equal force two opposing or contradictory sets of desires.”

That’s a great analogy. Because your ideas can be powerful. Just as two horses are very powerful. But you can’t pursue two powerful ideas at the same time any more than you could ride two powerful horses in two different directions at the same time.

Maybe it’s not as social media cool as Instagram. Or as glorious as winning the Powerball. But when you build your success from a dream to a vision to a success, there’s nothing like it. AND, it’s yours. You built it. You own it.

And nobody can ever take that away.

But these are things they don’t teach you in college. And they don’t even teach you how to RUN a successful business in business school. But there IS one “school” where you can learn to focus your dream into a vision. And you can turn that vision into a business. And you can learn to RUN that business the right way. The systematic way.

And here’s the best news. The “school” I’m talking about, RondaReady YOUniversity, can pay for itself over and over and over. You won’t just learn how to get a job, like you would in college. And you won’t have student loans to pay for over the next 10 to 20 years. Far from it. In fact, when you implement the YOUniversity training, your sales and profits will pay for it. Easily.

If you’d rather invest in your future AND discover how to turn your dreams into a successful business, you should call. This is one of those small efforts I mentioned. Start now. Pick a time, below, to book a call with me. Let’s talk soon.

Stay Ready,
Ronda

Silver spoon and a fork in the road

You’ve heard the expression, “He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth.” Right? But what does that mean? According to dictionaries and slang interpretations, a silver spoon is a person who knows nothing about real financial responsibility.

A “silver spoon” typically doesn’t have to do much actual work in life.

And silver spoons believe they can have anything they want. Because that’s the way they grew up.
I saw a blurb, online, where a contestant on a show called “The Bachelor,” said she’s “a huge daddy’s girl.” And she explained it a little further, saying, “I’m his only daughter, so I’m his little princess. He spoils me rotten. He’s bought me like five cars because I keep wrecking them.”

Sounds great, right?

Yeah. No.

It’s so much better to be able to go out and build your own life. Use your own brain. And create your own success story. But, of course, none of that happens by accident. And, if you’re like me, your daddy isn’t gonna keep buying you cars when you wreck ’em.

No, it takes strategy. Good ol’ boring strategy. Where you focus on what you’re gonna do for you and your business. Strategy is one of those real life skills your bank account will thank you for.

Like my client, Justin. He discovered how much more freedom he had for his ideas once he created strategies. And he loved being able to focus on his vision.

He shared this review on Google after working with me…

“Ronda has been a pleasure to work with over the past few months! She is a terrific coach that truly challenges you to create quantifiable goals and holds you accountable to meeting those goals. Ever think you are too much of a “big picture” person that won’t have success implementing your grand ideas? Well Ronda is super helpful in strategizing with you on how to build the foundations for a successful business. She breaks down step by step the building blocks needed to achieve your grand vision, all while making it manageable with weekly and monthly benchmarks. After a few sessions with Ronda your entire year will be mapped out, not just time spent in your business but on your business and away from your business as well…yes that even means vacations.

The best part about working with Ronda is how empowering she is. It is not just about helping you build out goals to tackle on your own. She provides support along the way and seems to always find a way to encourage, motivate and inspire. I would highly recommend working with Ronda if you are someone who has a goal of where their business should be but needs a quantified and effective plan set forth to accomplish and be held accountable along the way. An investment in Ronda is an investment in the success of your business.”  ~Justin D. – Marketing Professional Online Software Co.

Justin invested in a much better way to get where he wanted to go.

It’s almost a guarantee you won’t find any classes, in college, on how to focus on your vision or how to strategize. Because most schools of so-called higher learning only prepare you for how to get a job. So, if you’re a go-getter with bigger dreams for your life, we need to talk. Because I’ve got a much more affordable and focused way for you to get the real skills for that life you want.

It’s called RondaReady YOUniversity.

Book a free call with me. Find a good time in my calendar below. And let’s talk soon. Because the sooner we can work together, the sooner you’ll be Ready get your own silver spoons.

Pay attention to your purpose like a maid

If you think you’d ever like to hire someone to clean your house, pay attention to the services. And there are lots more specialized services these days. You don’t just hire a maid like in the olden days. And I guess that’s because there are so many different houses and living arrangements.

But, yeah, pay attention to the bullet points on their websites.

Because you wanna make sure the service you hire will dust, mop, vacuum, and detail bathrooms and home offices. Oh yeah, let’s not forget the windows! Not every company offers that. Because they’re a big job all by themselves.

But I’m not sharing this with you to make a housecleaning recommendation. This is about the details.

Amy, a one-on-one client of mine, owns a housecleaning business. Her business is successful because she pays close attention to the details. She dusts. She mops. And she includes little areas where most people wouldn’t even think to look. Because, she knows, when you get paid to clean a house, it better be clean.

But when it came to business-building details, Amy decided she needed some help, she reached out to me. And here’s what she said about the results we got for her…

“Ronda has an amazing understanding of how the mechanics of any business needs to build, work and grow with ease. She handles details that most overlook and helped me to see them and their value. To take ones business to the next level and beyond, she will help with the foundation on which to build firmly and confidently.” ~Amy W.

Another thing Amy has mentioned to me since then, and it’s something many of my clients have said, is how she wished she’d had this kind of help much earlier in life.

I remember thinking that at one point in my life, too. Because even a college degree didn’t teach me to System Think. And one thing I know beyond a shadow of a doubt is, you gotta have a System. Too bad nobody teaches that to young people who are about to go out into the real world.

Hang on! (cue the needle scratch on the record sound)

Somebody DOES teach that. And that would be ME. My RondaReady YOUniversity is designed with YOU in mind, if you wanna start your own business or get the best job possible. And it’s based on the same, comprehensive System I teach my one-on-one clients. Many of them have grown their businesses from 5 figures a year to 6. And even 6 figures a year to 7.

I’d love to tell you more about it. Because I love to help go-getters pay attention to their dreams. Book a free call with me. Find a day and time that works for you, in my calendar, below. And let’s talk soon.

Stay Ready,
Ronda

Do it all doesn't necessarily mean know it all

When you first start a business, depending on what it is, you might have to sort of do it all yourself. Believe me, I can relate. But that can lead to frustration. Maybe you can relate, too?

Claudia sure understood what I’m talking about.

I can still remember, when I first met her, how she had so much on her calendar. And literally every day. She didn’t have “weekends.” Matter of fact, she couldn’t tell where business stopped and personal started.

And that was mostly because Claudia had to do it all.

She was the owner, administrator, manager, secretary, stocker, phone answerer, supplies getter, and so on and so on. We talked about schedule control. And she told me she was “unable to cope” with certain scheduling issues.

So, I helped her set up her personalized System with a focus on schedule control.

Here’s how she described that process…

“Didn’t know what to expect. I was enlightened in ways that I did not imagine. And I was always too busy thinking about just getting things done both with my business and personal life that I was unable to cope with other things to put into my schedule. I didn’t know how to go about it and was afraid of losing what I already had going on. Everything that Ronda taught me gave me a different perspective and now I am better able to manage my time to fit the activities in that mean the most to grow my business and my personal development. I look forward to being even more of an asset to my business but even more to myself! Ronda, you are fantastic and it was great to work with you!” – Claudia G. – Property Inspector

The “different perspective” she mentioned is my RondaReady System.

And I’ve helped lots of business owners get a whole new, uplifting perspective on their business. It’s a huge burden off your shoulders (and your mind and heart) when you make a place for everything and keep everything in its place. But when you’re the one who has to do it all, that’s often easier said than done.

So, it literally makes my day when I can help people get their business and personal lives back under control. And if that’s something you’d like, too, I’d love to talk with you about it. Book a free call with me. My handy dandy calendar is just below. Invest in your better future. Let’s talk soon…

Entry level job might not be the right entrance

Anyone who truly WANTS to get an entry level job should, by all means, go for it. Because when you truly want something, and you’re willing to work for it, you should climb any mountain and cross any ocean to get it. But I recommend you understand what it is you’re after.

An entry level job should be a springboard.

Especially if you want to pursue your dreams instead of letting them fade away. Because if an entry level job doesn’t keep you moving in the direction of your vision, it can only hold you back.

And here’s an eye-opening piece of information I ran across a while back. In online search results for college links you can find some mighty troubling content. At least it SHOULD trouble you if you care about how much a college degree can cost. Because “About Us” pages on college websites I saw said some very revealing things. Like…

“It can also be an important step toward a bachelor’s degree.” And “Through career-oriented courses, these programs help students build the skills and industry background information to qualify for entry-level jobs in a specialty field.”

Did you catch that last part?

College can cost a lot of your time and money. And to think it could lead to an entry-level job in a specialty field doesn’t cut it with me.

Now, before you push back too hard, I don’t mean all college is bad.

But for a lot of entrepreneurs (like you) it’s just not necessary.

Especially since you have access to tons of resources online.

One of those amazing resources is my very own RondaReady YOUniversity. OK, that sounds a little bit like bragging. But I’m just repeating what one of my clients said…

“Ronda is AMAZING! She has helped me to systemize and build my business and feel confident. I am always energized by our work and she is such a good supporter. Working with her is almost like a finishing school for female entrepreneurs. If you don’t have a Ronda, get one!” – Julie B. – Wellness Coach

I never get tired of hearing that. Not just because it pumps up my ego (yes, I have one, too). But also because it’s proof that I was able to help someone in a BIG way. And lots of my clients have increased their incomes from 5 figures a year to 6. And even 6 figures to 7.

But even more important than that, they got control of their business and their lives. And many of them have told me they wished they could have had access to my system when they first started out.

So, that was my motivation to start RondaReady YOUniversity. And if you’re a young person (or not so young person) who’s about to head out into the real world, I’d love for you to find out more. Click or tap the link below and book a free call. Don’t make your vision wait another day.

Good vibes? Or buzzkill? You won't or you will.

I think we can all agree that pretty much everybody prefers good vibes over a buzzkill. Yeah, the Beach Boys even wrote a song about Good Vibrations. So, there’s solid proof.

And I believe the best good vibes don’t happen accidentally.

No, you gotta have a dream or a vision. And then you gotta make a plan for a way to go out and make your dream come true. Plus, you gotta be persistent about it.

Charles M. Schwab, a famous investor, said, “Everyone’s got it in him, if he’ll only make up his mind and stick with it.” But good ol’ persistence doesn’t have the same ring to it as good vibes. So, most people chase the vibes and go wherever the next good ones lead.

And that lack of persistence leads to heartbreaking business buzzkill.

Here’s a funny side note.

As I did some research, one day last week, an ad popped up on the screen that mentioned a product called Buzz B Gone. I don’t normally click on stuff like that. But this time I wanted to satisfy my curiosity.

Sure enough, there was a little zapper unit with a rechargeable battery. And it appears to be able to live up to its name when it comes to mosquitos and other annoying bugs. I didn’t buy one, by the way. Because we don’t deal with a lot of annoying bugs where I live.

But I just happened to think of that ad as I started to share this good vibes message with you.

Anyway, Napoleon Hill shared 13 key behaviors to success.

And wouldn’t you know? One of the main keys is persistence. More than just about anything else, persistence is connected to successful people. And the opposite is true, too.

That’s why I emphasize it so much in RondaReady YOUniversity. Because I want young people (or even not so young), who are Ready to go out on their own, to go with a clear vision.

And that ties in nicely with another one of Napoleon Hill’s 13 keys to success. An organized plan. The blueprint for your success. But how do you get one? Make it up? Or maybe find some templates on the internet?

Why start from scratch when you don’t have to? In RondaReady YOUniversity, you get help to plan, organize, and implement your great ideas. My proven system has helped scores of other excited entrepreneurs, like you, map out bold ideas with persistence on a well-paved path.

I’d love to tell you more and find out where you’d like to take your dreams, ideas, and business. Pick a time, below, to book a call with me. Let’s talk soon.

Stay Ready,

Monday again? Or Yay, it's Monday again!

It’s all in how you say it. Well, maybe not ALL. But a lot is in how you say it. Do you get up on the first day of the work week and, with your gloomiest voice possible, say, “Monday again?” Or are you excited to see another fresh new week coming your way?

Yeah, some people actually choose to say, “Yay! It’s Monday again!”

They’re the crazy ones, though. Right? I mean, let’s get real. After a relaxing weekend, who in their right mind would look forward to a Monday? Much less jump for joy when it gets here.

Well, I’m not gonna tell you to jump for joy. And I’m not gonna get on your case if you’re more of the gloomy type right now. But mull over these quotes and see what you think…

“The sun himself is weak when he first rises; and gathers strength and courage as the day goes on.” – Charles Dickens

“You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.” – Zig Ziglar

“There are many opportunities in every single day, and Monday is the perfect day to seize them all.” – Isabella Koldras

“Either you run the day, or the day runs you.” – Jim Rohn

As a business System specialist, I especially like that last one. And I talk about the importance of schedule control all the time. Because if you don’t control your schedule, it’ll control you.

And Monday is the best day of the work week to take control.

Grab hold and don’t let go. And, as the saying goes, plan your work and work your plan. That’s such a great perspective on business. And it’s part of why I give a RondaReady Journal to every new client. Because I want them to write down what they do each day. And keep track.

That’s one of the best ways you can know how you need or want your day to go. Then, you can start to lay out your plan. And that’s how you “start to be great,” as Zig Ziglar said.

The RondaReady Journal is just skimming the surface of what I provide in the RondaReady System. It’s a comprehensive, video-filled set of business-building lessons. And it’s also your connection to your own R.O.N.D.A. That’s your Responsive, Organized, Nonstop, Digital Assistant and customer relationship management tool.

I’d love to tell you more about it. So, if you’re a business owner (or you know one) who wants to take things to the next level, book a free call with me. My handy dandy calendar is below.

Let’s talk soon. Like, before it’s Monday again.  😉

Stay Ready,

Election Day of a whole 'nother color

You’ve probably gotten more than a few calls from strange, new numbers lately. And my guess is they have a lot to do with Election Day, which is next Tuesday. Right? Yeah, I’ll bet registered voters can expect quite a few more of those calls between now and then.

I found an Election Day checklist. Here’s the outline:

  • Understand absentee and early voting
  • Find your polling place to vote in person
  • Be prepared on Election Day

Seems pretty cut and dried. After all, you gotta know if you’re registered or not. Because they won’t let you vote if you’re not registered. And it’s important to understand what’s involved whether you choose to vote early, absentee, or in person. And, of course, if you’re gonna show up in person on November 8th, be sure you take your voter ID and/or other required documents.

Naturally, it’s a good idea to know WHO and WHAT you’ll be voting for or against.

So, there you have it.

Your complimentary Election Day checklist from your very own R.O.N.D.A.

But I didn’t share that just as a public service announcement. As always, I have a villainess and ulterior business-building motive. OK, not really the villainess part. But a little bit ulterior. Because I wanna help you put together your own checklist for building the life you want. And I won’t deny it helps me, too.

If you’re a young (or not so young) person who’s ready to head out into the real world, I wanna help you know which direction to go. And that’s crucial before you head out. Because, as I like to say, if you don’t know where you’re going, how will you know when you get there?

So, you might have heard me mention (again and again, actually) my RondaReady YOUniversity. But I mention it a lot because I know how much it can help you figure out who you are and where you wanna go. And that’s the biggest reason most people stumble and fall when they get started. Because they don’t figure those things out first.

I’d love to tell you lots more about it AND answer your questions. And the best way for me to do that is a phone conversation. I love emails. But nothing beats an actual one-on-one talk. And you can book a free call with me when you’re Ready. Click or tap the button below. Let’s talk soon.

PTO might stand for puny time off

I’ve been sharing some job interview tips for the past couple of days. And that’s because not everybody wants to start and run a business. And there ARE still some places where you can earn a decent paycheck, enjoy some “benefits,” and even get some PTO.

Wait a second. PTO?

You probably already know what that is. But just in case you don’t, PTO stands for paid time off. And that’s one of those “benefits” of working for someone else’s benefits.

But notice I put quotation marks around the word “benefits.” Because PTO ain’t always what you need.

I’m a business owner. So, I didn’t work out any paid time off “benefits” with an employer. But I used to have paid time off when I worked in the corporate world. And that definitely didn’t sway me when it came time to choosing between that world and building my own business.

My motivation to leave the corporate world and start my own business was so I could be with my kids more. I never want family to be an afterthought or come in second place to work or other parts of life.

And corporate jobs never had enough paid time off.

When I “went out on my own”, my oldest child was 2 and my second daughter was only 3 months old. So, my number one reason for owning my own business was to have more “mom time.” After a couple of decades as a business owner I don’t regret that choice one bit. Because the corporate world never allowed enough paid time off to be with my kids when they needed me most.

For example, when my kids got sick, I could be at home with them. Or take them to the doctor. I didn’t have to “call in sick” or ask permission to “take time off.”

And that’s because I put the System in place to help keep my business operational while I take care of my family. Another benefit has been that my kids didn’t have to feel my stress of getting back to work so I wouldn’t lose my job. They could rest easy knowing I’d be there for them.

That’s a huge benefit with almost no limits.

I remind myself, almost everyday, not to take this for granted. And if or when I see or hear myself complain about how the day is going, I just close my eyes and remember what it was like before.

If you (or someone you care about) is about to get started out in the real world, I recommend setting things up ahead of time. I like to say, “Get Ready to Be Ready and Stay Ready.” And that’s what I help my  RondaReady YOUniversity students do.

You (or someone you care about) could be the next success story I could share. Book a free call with me and let’s talk about YOU. Click or tap the button, below. And let’s talk soon.

End of the day and you just drive away

I truly DO wanna help you be the best possible YOU. And, as I said yesterday, I know not everybody wants to run a business. In fact, maybe most people would prefer to have a job so they can leave the responsibility of the company behind at the end of the day. I get it. Of course, we’re not all the same. And that’s a good thing.

So, at the end of the day, you should be YOU.

And you should make sure YOU are where you truly wanna be. Because going to work unhappy, for yourself or for an employer, is a recipe for bad stuff.

So, if you prefer to find a job, find the one that fits you best. And hopefully the one that pays you best. Here’s a good way to start. Be sure you hone your skills. Then…

Research companies, and get set to show them what you know.

Because most of the best businesses, companies, and industries tend to include this interview question, “What do you know about this company?” And you wanna have a good answer.

But even if they don’t ask you that questions, it’s a good idea to be able to show what you know about them. Because that shows them you’ll be interested in helping them make money. And, if they’re a reputable business, when they make more money, they’ll probably pay YOU more.

Want an example of how to show them what you know?

Ok, you could say something like, “I noticed that X amount of your Google Business comments and reviews have no replies. I’ve studied the Google Reviews expectations, and I’ve become proficient at providing helpful and informative replies for better customer retention and reviews. And I’d welcome the opportunity to help you continue to be a leader in your industry.”

Who do you think they’ll be more impressed with? YOU? Or someone who says, “I’m a hard worker, and I show up on time.”

You can find out tons of information about your potential employer online, if they have a website. And that’s just about any business these days. So, take that free info and make a bigger splash.

Here’s a great tip that can help during your interview.

Build a connection with your interviewer. First, be sure you know their name. And use it. Think about it. You appreciate it when someone knows who YOU are. So, they’ll appreciate it, too. So, when you introduce yourselves, be sure you repeat their name after they say it. And don’t forget it.

Marketing people love to say that people buy from businesses (and/or people) they know, like, and true. And interviewers are like that. They tend to hire someone they like. And someone they feel will be a solid (and connected) fit for the company. So here are some tips on how to be that person.

First, be a Boy Scout.

OK, not really. But the Boy Scout motto is famous. “Be prepared.” Don’t wait to the last minute to get your clothes ready for the interview. And don’t try to print out business cards, get your resumé together, and make your breakfast all in the same last minutes before you leave home.

Because you never can tell when they might call you in sooner than you expected. So, get everything ready the night before. Be Prepared. Shoes laid out. Clothes hanging right where you’ll get dressed. Quick and easy breakfast. Car all gassed up. And all your materials next to your keys.

After all, think about how much better your brain’s gonna work when you’re not stressed out with all those last minute details. And all because you made sure they weren’t all last minute details.

Then, show up Ready.

And that includes dressing in a way that’s appropriate for the type of workplace you’ll be in. Don’t forget to take extra copies of your resume. And ALWAYS have a pen and paper.

Of course, these days your interview could very well be online. But that doesn’t mean you don’t still need to Be Prepared. So, make sure, in advance, that your computer or other tech gear is working properly. Doublecheck your internet connection. And maybe have a backup plan on your phone and its connection. If you can, go through the steps the night before. And have your answers Ready.

This is just a snippet of how I help my RondaReady YOUniversity students prepare for the real world. And I’d love to share more about it with you. But I’d prefer to talk with you personally. So, click or tap on the button, below and schedule a call with me. Let’s talk about YOU, your interview, or how you could go after your dreams and run your own business. At the end of the day, it comes down to YOU.

Stay Ready,
Ronda
