Time control or management?

Time control that doesn’t require magic

Would you rather learn time management or schedule control? How about switching those around to time control or schedule management. Or, for the sake of coming to the point, how about we leave out the words time and schedule. What are you left with? Yeah, management and control. And you’re probably already ahead of me now. But see what happened?

Control beats management any day of the week.

A quick look at the definition of management shows, “process of dealing with things…” Compare that with the definition of control: “power to influence or direct course of events.” Wow, I don’t know about you, but that definition sounds a whole lot better.

Power. Influence. And directing the course of events. Oh yeah, I’m in! And guess what? Those are the basics of what it takes to be a highly organized CEO of your own business.

Being a manager (as in time management) is like running around putting out fires. And why would you want to do that? Especially when you started your business because you were on fire to serve others with your products, services, and information.

And I’m guessing you’d rather be an effective CEO who delegates day-to-day tasks like time management to others. Because I just know you’d rather work on your vision. And come up with more ideas. Right?  So, you gotta take control of your time. Take charge of your own schedule and build your power to influence. Because that’s how you can keep pushing toward that lifestyle you want for yourself.

Without control you’re stuck in a management role.

And that can leave you feeling like an employee in your own business. Not good for your morale. And not good for your business. In fact, it’s not even good for anyone you hire.

My RondaReady business coach CRM system has helped a ton of business owners get back in control of their time and their businesses. And I never get tired of hearing their success stories.

So, invest in your own copy of the RondaReady System book, today. And it IS a good investment. Because it can pay for itself exponentially, and help you…

Best plan

“Best plan is…”

Somebody, who used to be in my life, would say this all the time. When I wanted to know what our next step or steps would be, he’d just smile and say “Best plan no plan.” And he went from being in the top 5% of his industry in the area he worked to a life filled with alcohol and drugs.

I understand the need to be flexible, but the best plan no plan idea just means probably no success.

I know his is an extreme case, but it’s important to discuss how bad strategies can have negative consequences.

Don’t get me wrong. I haven’t mapped out every minute of my life. Like vacations, for example. I like to leave at least parts of my time off to spontaneous activities. You never know what fun, local things might pop up that weren’t in the brochures.

But I DO say the best strategy is a well thought out plan when it comes to business. In fact, without it, business is almost like a game rigged against you.

Napoleon Hill said it’s one of the most important keys and one of the most challenging aspects of success. And that’s one of the reasons why I developed the RondaReady business coach CRM system. It’s helped scores of other entrepreneurs, like you, organize and outline their businesses and get things to fall into place better AND faster.

And when you get it going, it’s like the words in this song by Markus Johnson…

This is the day, your life will surely change
This is the day, when things fall into place”

So, invest in your own copy of the RondaReady System book, today. And it IS a good investment. Because it can pay for itself exponentially, and help you…

How bad do you want it

How bad do you want it?

I remember talking with a client, years ago, who was going through a very rough spot in her life and business. And she shared some extreme changes she’d made in both. Something I kept hearing her say was “I had no other choice.” Making changes like that might work for a tiny, tiny fraction of people. But mostly it’s just reaction. Certainly not a strategy. Especially in business. I told her “instead of thinking how bad things make you feel, ask yourself how bad do you want it?

So how bad do YOU want it? Knowing the answer helps you make better decisions.

And you have to be willing to make change happen. Because when you just let changes happen instead of making them happen, you’re asking for disaster. And for goodness sake, don’t let other people’s opinions of what you need influence your decisions. They might have good intentions. But their circumstances are not your circumstances. And your desire to make change happen is all that matters.

So what do you desire in your life? Have you really thought it through?

Your mind and will, working together, can do amazing things. And you can achieve what you focus on. (there’s that focus word again) So, make sure you’re focused on solutions. Not problems. Because focusing on problems tends to create more problems. And then you’ll quickly find yourself back in that “I had no other choice” frame of mind.

You’ve heard that old saying, “Hindsight is 20/20”, right? Well, this year, 2020, is the perfect time to make positive changes happen. So, this time next year, your hindsight will be great. You’ll look back and think, “I made good choices.”

Here’s what I suggest for today. Think things through. Focus. And make a plan.

In other words, Get Ready! And if you’re ready to make that happen a lot faster, get my RondaReady business coach CRM system. It’s a serious investment. So, it’s only for serious entrepreneurs who wanna be the highly organized CEO of their own businesses. If that’s not you, don’t spend the money. But if it IS you, buy my system and you won’t end up paying for it.

So, invest in your own copy of the RondaReady System book, today. And it IS a good investment. Because it can pay for itself exponentially, and help you…

Afraid of success? Or just scared of how to get there?

Afraid of success?

Remember that line Jack Nicholson’s character said to Tom Cruise’s character in “A Few Good Men?” He sort of yelled “You can’t handle the truth!” when Tom’s character said he wanted the truth. I only bring it up because I wonder if you can handle the truth when it comes to the success or failure of your business. They say people are more afraid of success than failure. Is that you?

I know why you might be afraid of success.

And it’s not the same for everybody. But everybody falls into at least one of three categories when it comes to a lack of success in business. See if any or all three of these apply to you.

  • Your mind isn’t laser focused
  • You haven’t developed income producing habits
  • And you don’t have a proven system you can depend on over and over

Any of those sound familiar? If so, don’t beat yourself up. Just about every entrepreneur has either been there and done that, or they’re still there doing that. I know. Because I’ve been there, done that. And I help business owners, every day, who are working their way out of one or all of those problems.

Successful people keep showing up and doing the work.

With all that’s going on in the world right now, it’s hard to stay focused. And distractions can affect your ability to develop those good income producing habits. Then, if all that happens, good luck building a system to help you avoid the problems.

So, here’s what I suggest. Don’t let a virus, or social media hysteria, or anything else for that matter, detour you. Get out your roadmap. Stick to the course you’ve set for yourself. And put the pedal to the metal in your business.

Because the truth is, you can still build your own empire, even when others let theirs crumble. Just keep working on those three areas every successful business owner learns to master. Focus. Habits. And a proven system. By the way, if you don’t already have your roadmap, my RondaReady business coach CRM system is already set up for you. Just in case you’d like a huge jump start.

So, invest in your own copy of the RondaReady System book, today. And it IS a good investment. Because it can pay for itself exponentially, and help you…

Know where to go or there’s no where to go

Do you know where to go?

Alright, time for a road trip! Got the bags packed and in the car. And the car’s all tanked up with gas. Plenty of food in the portable cooler. Let’s see, where’s the water? Oh yeah, there it is. Everybody’s rested and ready to go. OK, let’s jump in the car and go! Awesome, the car started right up. Backing out of the driveway into the street. And…oh wait…one minor detail. Do you know where to go?

Maybe it’s not such a minor detail to know where to go after all, right?

Yeah, you gotta know your destination before you take off. Otherwise, like I always say, how will you know when you get there? And like grownups used to say all the time, “be careful what you wish for.” Because you just might get it. And IT might not be what you hoped.

So, here comes the stuff I’m always repeating. Sit down and plan it out. Not just any “it.” Your special “it.” The vision you create for yourself. And see yourself having it. Enjoying it. Living the dream as they say. You wouldn’t drive with a blindfold on. And you shouldn’t pursue your dreams without your destination in clear view either. Two reasons why…

You could deal with something you don’t want. Or you’ll have to dig your way out of it. And those are two awful choices. Because they’re both expensive. And I’m not just talking about money. It can cost you emotionally and mentally, too.

If you can already relate to what I’m talking about, don’t feel bad. Because…

Been there, done that. And, yep, you guessed it, I got the T-shirt too. But let’s not waste time feeling sorry for ourselves. Successful people learn from their mistakes and keep pushing past those bumps in the road. And you’re ready to move forward, right? Great. So, here’s how I lay it out in my RondaReady business coach CRM system. Three easy-to-remember steps…

  1. Get Ready – envision your future
  2. Be Ready – develop your strategies
  3. Stay Ready – build your systems

And you’ll be so glad when you take yourself through those steps. Because once you get to the Stay Ready phase, you can have a hands-free business. Now, THAT’S how to be the highly organized CEO of your own empire. Remember, there’s no such thing as standing still. If you’re not moving forward you’re rolling backwards.

So, invest in your own copy of my RondaReady System book, today. Because you either know where to go or there’s no where to go and…

Let's take the mystery out of achievement

There’s no mystery achievement in business

As I was driving between appointments today, I heard one of my favorite bands on the radio. The Pretenders were singing Mystery Achievement. And I guess my brain is hardwired to connect things like that to business. So I looked up the word, achievement – a thing done successfully by effort, courage, or skill – There’s the dictionary definition of the word. And I love that combination. Effort. Courage. Skill.

So, as it turns out, there’s no mystery to achievement.

You just gotta put in the effort. But how do you get started? Well, hone your skills. And muster up your courage. And get going. Because somewhere in your mind you know where you wanna end up. The Pretenders song asks, “Where’s my sandy beach?” Your sandy beach might not be a beach at all. It might be a metaphor for a little house on a lake. Or a getaway in the mountains. Doesn’t matter where. What matters is knowing if something is currently out of reach, maybe you just need to reach harder.

Focused forward motion will help you make the stretch to get there. I’ve always found that when I have a clear target it mind, I can almost always hit it. Because clarity helped me to find and get the right people to mentor me and help me strategize. Then, I was able to build a system that helped me create the habits necessary to keep me on task. And that’s how I’ve been able to use my time wisely and stay organized.

But maybe you’re a shoot-from-the-hip kind of entrepreneur.

You like living on the edge. And you don’t want something like a boring business coach CRM system stifling your creativity. Or your spontaneity. If so, stop reading this now and get back in your game. But if you’d rather answer questions than ask them, like the lyrics in The Pretenders song, maybe we should talk. It’s your life. And I’m just somebody who knows the way to the beach.

Mystery achievement you’re so unreal
Mystery achievement
Where’s my sandy beach? Yeah
I had my dreams like everybody else
But they’re out of reach

So, invest in your own copy of the RondaReady System book, today. And get Ready to add your own achievements in a way that’s not mysterious. I’d love to help you…

Taking the manual out of manual labor

There’s manual labor and there’s Manual labor

I wanna share what I call a manual labor story from one of my interesting appointments yesterday. First, a little background. Over the years, I’ve had the privledge to work for non-profit organizations in addition to my work with regular profit businesses. Both have been very rewarding experiences.

For one non-profit, in particular, I was hired by the board of directors to help them get documented systems in place. And during my time there, a lot of changes occurred. Board leadership changed. The CEO changed. And the only other employee, who knew the inner workings of the business, left rather suddenly.

At my meeting with the new board leadership, yesterday, they were understandably concerned. And they were more than a little anxious to know “what kind of mess” the new management would find.

Fortunately, before the sudden departure of the employee who had the knowledge of the place, I captured all that knowledge in a completed operations manual.

Whew! Close call. And that’s what I mean about taking the manual out of manual labor.

Instead of starting from scratch, completely in the dark, I handed them their operations manual. They quickly realized how they could focus ON their business…not cultivating new programs and donors…to serve their community.

They were lucky.

Not so much for a man I knew, a few years back, who suffered from debilitating back problems. Eventually, and inevitably, he could no longer be a one-man-band, self employed business. And he found out…he no work…he no make money.

So, here’s a thought…

You will go through the coming year(s) one way or another. Instead of letting business run you, why not build your business better. A business that can make you money whether you show up all day every day or not.

The RondaReady business management system has helped scores of other entrepreneurs, like you, set up their own operations manuals. And this has helped them eliminate chaos and avoid catastrophe. And who wouldn’t like to avoid that? Especially these days.

So, invest in your own copy of the RondaReady System book, today. And it IS a good investment. Because it can pay for itself exponentially, and help you…

Business or hobby - the sooner you decide, the more money you can make.

Do you want a business or hobby?

A lot of people have been able to turn their hobbies into full-time successful businesses. And I think even more people haven’t been able to do that. Either that, or they can’t decide…business or hobby. So, they sort of “play” at it. And it never really takes off. Then, they can feel like they gave it a shot. But did they really?

One of my clients answered the business or hobby question with a successful business.

When we met a few years back, a client of mine wanted to turn her hobby into a business. And she did it. In fact, she has a great business now. Two employees have been added. And she’s increased her revenue by 300%. Plus, she’s been able to enjoy multiple “road trips” in the past year. I got this note from her after one of our recent appointments.

“Ronda, thank you so much for today. Always making great strides with you! It’s been quite the adventure, and I’m so thankful for all you have done and continue to do.”

I won’t deny it…I love to hear (and read) things like that. It’s why I do what I do. Because I love helping go-getters go get the life they dream about. It’s awesome to watch them Get Ready, Be Ready, and then set up the system to Stay Ready. And when they do, I feel the thrill of their accomplishment, too.

Would you (or someone you know) like to turn a hobby into a business? And, if so, wouldn’t you love to see some of the same kind of results? If you answered yes, what are you waiting for? Get my RondaReady business coach CRM system. Why? Because it works. I’ve got lots of proof.

So, invest in your own copy of the RondaReady System book, today. And it IS a good investment. Because it can pay for itself exponentially, and help you…

Working ON your business so you can grow out of it.

I hope you’ll grow out of it

I know you’ve heard that expression. Like when a little kid is temperamental. And his nice aunt says, “Don’t worry. He’ll grow out of it.” And some do. And some don’t. But the reason I’m bringing it up today is not to share a child-rearing idea with you. I just wanna use that expression to motivate you grow out of your business. Yes, I’m looking right at YOU.

Working ON your business helps you grow out of it.

I know you’re familiar with working IN your business. And I’m talking about those day-to-day operations you gotta get done. Whether it’s dealing with technical issues. Or customers and clients. Or administration tasks. But that’s all about working IN your business. And it’s crucial to work ON it. Because that’s where the real CEO part comes into play.

When you wanna separate yourself from the 5, 10, 20, or more years “daily grind”, you gotta work ON your business. The people who figure out how to get out of the hamster wheel (hopefully pretty early) DO get out of the grind. Because they learn how to keep growing business so they can actually grow out of it.

So, what are you doing?

What kind of time are you putting aside to work ON your business? To get it to that next level, however that might look for you. Do you have a daily focus to put time aside for working ON your business? And what time of day works best for you? Usually first thing in the morning works best. Even if you’re not a “morning person.” Because it’ll help make sure you do the CEO stuff before you jump back into the day-to-day grind.

Yes, you gotta get the day-to-day stuff done. Otherwise you’ll lose business. But it’s important to make it a daily ritual to work on your CEO part. The part you dreamed about when you started your business. Or at least set aside a couple times a week with bigger blocks of time. Start planning strategies and creating a system or systems that’ll help replace YOU.

It just so happens, my RondaReady business coach CRM system can help you do that. So, you can get back to the fun planning and organizing only YOU can do for your business. And that’s when you’ll have more free time and Make More Money.

So, invest in your own copy of the RondaReady System book, today. And it IS a good investment. Because it can pay for itself exponentially, and help you…

Are you taking care of your prize pumpkin?

Are you taking care of your prize pumpkin?

Ok all you business farmers. Are you ready to Get Ready? And are you ready to take home the prize pumpkin for all your hard work? Great. Then, let’s get busy. Before you think, “Uh-oh, Ronda’s gone crazy” I’ll show you what I mean. (hint: you won’t have to start a farm)

I found the prize pumpkin idea in a book called The Pumpkin Plan by Mike Michalowicz

In that book, the author says to grow a prize pumpkin you gotta get rid of certain parts. Like the vines that are taking away resources from your “prize.” Because if you try to take care of all the pumpkins, your prize pumpkin suffers.

What’s that got to do with business? Right?

Well, let’s say the pumpkin farm is your business. And you probably started your business with a more focused, good idea. In other words, I’m guessing (and I hope I’m right) you didn’t start out with the intention of being all things to all people. So, you had a particular product or service or information offer. Right? And that’s best the way to get your business going. Because focused efforts produce better products, services, and information.

And once you grow your prize pumpkin and your efforts are paying off, only then should you consider “growing” another one.

Just remember, it’s too hard to be everything to everyone. So, narrow your focus to your ideal clients. But do you know who they are? If you’re not sure, go through your database and find them. Because it’ll show you who you really like working with. And who pays on time. Get a clear picture of your ideal client or customer in your mind. Then, you can focus your products, services, and information to get more of them.

By the way, my RondaReady System book can help you do all this. And even help you automate a lot of the processes and procedures.

So, invest in your own copy of the book, today. But only if you’re Ready to Get Ready, Be Ready, and…

Stay Ready,
