Bad habits are just good habits waiting to happen.

Bad habits are just good habits waiting to happen

“Habit is either the best of servents, or the worst of masters.” ~ Nathaniel Emmons So true!! You tend to fall into bad habits because you think they fill some void. But the opposite is actually true. They usually create voids…especially with time. Maybe you’ve noticed this in your business. You get distracted by something, and before you know it, hours have passed you can’t account for. And you certainly can’t say your time spent produced business building results. That’s a void.

I talk about bad habits and good habits a lot, in my training, and in my CRM.

Because ultimately it’s your habits that determine your path. Success. Or failure.

When you want more out of life, put more into it. And focus your thoughts and actions on success-building habits if you want successful results. It’s easier to focus on what you CAN do than to focus on what you CAN’T do because the can’t-do list is almost limitless. The can-do is exactly that. What YOU CAN do.

But it requires an optimistic mindset and good habits.

Bad habits are just good habits waiting to happen.

I’m confident my RondaReady online business coach CRM system can help you develop good habits. And they’ll help you build your business better. My clients tell me they love feeling confident and in control again. And I love helping them get there. I can help you get there, too, and…

Vacation and work don't always work

Vacation and work

It seems like the biggest argument, between couples on vacation, is about work. Some statistics show as much as 80% of business owners and entrepreneurs mix vacation and work. I think that’s sad. Does it happen to you? And do you find yourself not truly being in the moment when you’re on vacation?

Vacation and work don't always work

Vacation and work should be different kinds of time.

Both should be quality time, of course. And I certainly hope you don’t feel like vacation is just an escape from work. When you set up a smooth-running system…and work your system…vacation won’t feel that way. Because you’ll enjoy your work a whole lot more. And your business will be dependable whether you’re there or not.

Sure, your brain needs recovery time from your business. But not to recover from day-to-day dread. Simply to recover from mostly “left brain” thinking. You know…problem solving. Customer care. Ordering supplies. Phone calls. Emails. And the list goes on.

Vacation can help you VACATE that space. At least for a while. And that helps you to refresh and let your creative side flow again. Because when you feel creative and refreshed, your better side comes out. And that can benefit those around you almost as much as it benefits you.

But…how do you do it? How do you vacate work?

First, prioritize your calendar. Schedule your day-to-day, your appointments, and yes…even your vacation. No part of your schedule should be just an afterthought. Each part should be deliberate. Because it’s all vital to your health and the health of your business.

Be sure your business operations are documented. So other people or automation can manage it while you’re gone. Prepare or make preparations in advance. Since others rely on you, set proper expectations. And train your professional staff (handpicked, remember?) to handle things till you get back.

It can be done. And you need to do it. So, do it. And I can help. It’s part of why I developed my RondaReady online business coach CRM system. Let me help you enjoy vacation AND work. And let me help you…

Easiest way to make money is to work hard on your system.

What’s the easiest way to make money?

There was a time I was in the house building business. It’s true. In fact, we built nine custom, 3-story beach homes. In California! And some with ocean views. Beautiful. Now, keep in mind…I had no background in house building. But I had a strong desire to make it happen. And even though it wasn’t what I’d call the easiest way to make money, we actually made very good money.

Of course, there were times our resources were stretched to the max. And there was never a guaranteed ROI (return on investment). But I gotta tell you…the first time I held a check for $420,000 for the sale of one of those homes…Wow! It was exhilarating!

Easiest way to make money is to work hard on your system.

Everyone’s looking for the easiest way to make money.

But here’s a dirty, little secret. If owning a business was easy, everyone would be doing it! But they’re not. And the greater rewards are in doing what everyone else isn’t doing. Greater rewards AND greater opportunities. In life AND business. Is there more risk? Heck yeah! Is it always going to work out? Odds are against it. But is it totally worth it? Absolutely!

Being in business for yourself is exhilarating! First, you get to come up with your own vision for what you want in life. Then you get to build the vehicle to get you there. And the best vehicle for that is YOUR business. But your vehicle needs wheels. And an engine. Some oil, gas, and water. A proven business building system provides all that and keeps your vehicle running fast and smooth.

And owning a business can be the easiest way to make money. Because when you serve others well, they’ll pay you for what you know or offer. But owning a business can be one of the easiest ways to crash and burn, too. Because it takes a clear vision of what you want to do and where you want to go. And you gotta write it down so it’s repeatable…even by employees. When you can smoothly repeat your processes without starting over every time, your little hatchback becomes a muscle car.

So, here’s some good news.

My proven system, the RondaReady online business coach CRM system, can get you where you wanna go in the shortest time possible. You’re in business for yourself because that’s the vehicle you prefer. So, do yourself a favor. And make the most out of it. And let me help you…

Take control of your business or someone else will.

Take control of your business

I’m sure any business owner would agree how feeling out of control takes a toll on you. Right? I mean either you take control of your business or something else or someone else will. And your business control (or lack of it) can also affect the lives of your family, employees, and just about everyone. So, you need confidence and control. That’s why I love this short story so much…

Take control of your business or someone else will.

I’m glad to say I can help you take control of your business.

Recently, I met with someone who was referred to me by a client of mine. I asked this new referral what my client (who’s a friend of theirs) said about working with me? Turns out it was mostly about how my client feels more confident and in control of their business. They also mentioned how they don’t have to worry about finding more clients. And that’s because their “inflow is much more consistent since using my coaching system.”

Yahoo!

I never get tired of hearing those kinds of reports. They’re exactly why I developed my RondaReady online business coach CRM system. Because I enjoy making a positive difference in business owners’ lives. They’re the ones who drive our economy. And without successful business owners where would we all be? Yikes, I don’t even wanna think about it.

So, so you feel in control of your business?

Do you see yourself in a good place a year from now? With a smooth running, money-making business? Goals being met and maybe even exceeded? Or is there a cloud of doubt over your head? Do you think you’ll be clicking your heels and still hoping for a better way? Like I often say, “Why go it alone, when you don’t have to?” Let me help you take back control of your business and…

Truth or dare, what will get you there?

Truth or Dare – What will get you there?

When you were a kid, did you ever play truth or dare? It could be very exciting, as you got to know others. Or maybe it helped you conquer your fears in some way. But, as an adult in business for yourself, it’s a much trickier game to play. The stakes and the consequences are so much higher.

Truth or dare, what will get you there?

Is your business more truth or dare?

Are you setting and reaching goals for your business and your life? Do your projections live up to what’s truly going on? And do you even remember your vision for your ideal lifestyle?

If the truth is your business and your life aren’t living up to your vision, then I dare you to change what you’re doing. Your truth, right now, doesn’t have to be the same truth a year from now. Just this week I asked a few of my clients what’s been the biggest thing they received from my coaching program. And I got answers like this…

  • “More time off while increasing revenue by over 200%”
  • “Gaining a lot more control of my time”
  • “Being able to more accurately predict my cashflow”
  • “I’ve been able to hire the right assistant to follow my established system.”
  • “More trust in employees so I can go out and get more business”

And these things became truth for my clients because they dared to become better business owners. They stepped up and stepped out of the same ol’ same ol’. Because they didn’t want to keep drifting out to sea in a sleek sailboat with no sails. My RondaReady online business coach CRM system helped them find their sails. AND it helped them raise the sails full mast, steady the rudder, and navigate the open seas of success.

OK, enough of my nautical metaphors.

Maybe it’s your time, too. Are you ready to change your truth. If so, I’ll help you…

Getting ready for success

Are you getting ready for success?

“Before everything else, getting ready is the secret to success.” That’s a quote from Henry Ford. He was the founder of the Ford Motor Company. And most people give him credit for the assembly line technique of mass production. So, he knew a thing or two about getting ready…and more importantly…getting ready for success.

Getting ready for success from the start

Ronda Ready isn’t just a catchy name I came up with. I use the word “ready” on purpose. You gotta be ready for success. Or it might zoom past you.

Think about how much time the most successful businesses spend getting ready. Whether you’re an Apple fan or not, you might have seen how long they spent building their giant circular headquarters. Or have you been reading about how long it’s taking Elon Musk to develop a self-driving car? Whew! Talk about getting ready.

Well, guess what? Those companies might be a lot bigger than you are…or ever want to be. But they’re not more important. In fact, your business is way more important to you than theirs is. So, you need to get ready.

That’s why I spent so much time putting together the RondaReady online business coach CRM system. To help you be as ready and organized as possible.

Getting ready for success

Systems can help you work ON your business instead of getting bogged down IN it.

Systems help you automate a lot of the “boring” things you have to do over and over. And systems help you build relationships faster and better.

So, even though you’ll have to spend some time getting ready, there’s no good reason to do it all by yourself. I’d love to help. And I’m as close as a click or tap away. Entrepreneurs (that’s you) are my favorite people because they take the risks and build things average people don’t. And the best ones are the best because they…

Communication skills are like little magic pills

Communication skills – the magic pills

Here’s a clip from an email sent by a customer to one of my clients: “…Uncomfortable in the dark” What does it mean? Her customer was telling her that he needs to hear from her about what’s going on. Ouch! Time to brush up on those communication skills. Right?

Communication skills are like little magic pills

This subject came up in a client meeting today. We talked about how clients expect value content from the beginning. And even though you can’t control all the expectations, especially when other services are involved, you CAN communicate.

Communication skills are caring skills.

Your clients or customers need to feel secure. They need to believe they can trust you. And they want to be sure they made the best choice when they hired you. When you don’t fill them in on the processes, or you don’t reply quickly enough (or sometimes at all) to their questions and concerns, you bend or break that trust. And sometimes you can’t get it back.

Let’s face it. Obstacles are everywhere. (Of course, sometimes those obstacles are actually solutions.) And most people don’t like it when they face those challenges. So, it’s crucial to be a solution and not just another obstacle for your clients or customers. When you’re not, don’t be surprised when people cancel contracts with you. Or when they give you poor reviews. And they certainly won’t be referring you to anyone. Again…Ouch!

But the good news is…you can avoid a lot (or just about all) of that with excellent communication skills. Doesn’t take that much to anticipate what your clients might be going through. And it also doesn’t have to take much to set up your process to help them with it.

That’s where my RondaReady online business coach CRM system comes in. It’s packed full of ideas and strategies to help you be exceptional. And to help you keep those communication lines wide open. In other words, to help you…

Family time trumps business time

Family time trumps business time

Bill (not his real name) is an ambitious client of mine. So ambitious that he set a goal of making $5 million in profits from his business within 10 years. That’s a lofty goal. Nothing wrong with that. But it blew up in Bill’s face. Not because it wasn’t do-able. No, the problem was much worse than a matter of skills and ambition. His goal started taking all his time. And that meant there wasn’t any left for family time. And I wish I could say it just strained or tested it family. But it actually destroyed it.

Your business shouldn’t destroy your family time.

Sometimes business owners get lucky enough to have a husband or wife helping them in the same direction. And they’re ready, willing, and able to work at the same pace toward the same goals. When that happens, being in business together can work out beautifully. Their strengths and weaknesses compliment each other. And they build the life of their dreams.

While that scenario is the ideal goal, and it’s definitely possible, very few people get there.

Unfortunately, too many families don’t work well together. And business goals overshadow family life. But I believe a lot of it could be solved if and when a system and strategy is set up from the beginning. A system that frees up the business owner from the day-to-day tasks. And a strategy that removes the owner from all those things that can be done by employees working in the system. Then, the owner can be free to work on ideas and relationships. Instead of buying copier paper and filling the coffee machine.

Don’t be like Bill.

He just didn’t want to make the time to set up his systems ahead of time. So he just kept working IN his business. Harder and harder. Making more and more money. And he became a total failure at family time. The girl of his dreams was replaced by his financial dreams. Kids were replaced by phone calls and business meetings. He married his business and divorced his family.

But I refuse to believe those kinds of results are inevitable when you start a business. In fact, I’ve seen quite the opposite when clients dive into my RondaReady online business coach CRM system. And I’ve witnessed (and been part of) business owners enjoying so much more time, money, and freedom. That’s why I say my system is Proven. It can help you build a business better and faster. And one that can last for the long-haul. It truly can help you…

Delegate duties and detour disasters

Do you delegate duties?
Or just give up authority?

I hope you’re not part of this statistic. Because I see this mistake made over and over again. Business owners so overwhelmed they’re willing to hire just about anybody to help them. They’re not even sure what to expect from new employees. But they just know that they need more hands on deck. So they hire a person, or people, and practically hand them the keys to the business. They don’t delegate duties according to qualifications. Instead, they just let them figure it out on their own. That’s a disaster in the making.

As a business owner you gotta delegate duties to employees.

At least if you want to avoid disasters that WILL happen if you let them come up with their own processes for doing things. Because what if an employee leaves? And what if that person was the only one who know what certain processes and procedures are? Are you gonna have time to clean up the mess? Will you even know what the mess is or what caused it?

Many times a person leaves because they don’t want to work with somebody (or for somebody) who lacks focus. And a chaotic work environment isn’t good for anybody. So, they leave, and you, Mr. or Ms. Business Owner suddenly find yourself more behind than you were before you got more hands on deck. Not only that, you don’t know how or why that key employee did things. And you don’t have a a system to fall back on.

Is your head spinning yet?

Just imagine you hire someone who’s on the ball. And they build some great relationships that really help build your business. But then they leave and take those relationships with them because you didn’t set things up ahead of time to avoid that. Can’t blame them. Sure, it’s YOUR business. But it’s THEIR relationships. Their system.

OK…enough bad news disaster talk. What can you do to make sure it doesn’t happen to you?

How about setting up your own system, ahead of time, for onboarding new employees? Sounds tedious and boring…right? And it’s bound to stifle your amazing business creativity. Except…it won’t when you follow a proven system.

Who knows your business better than you do? Not the new peeps. And with your know-how and the RondaReady online business coach CRM system you’ll be good-to-go in short order. I can help you get ready to make your first great hire. And you’ll have everything in place so you can repeat the process seamlessly. You’ll also be able to deliver consistent and predictable service to your customers or clients. Now, THAT makes you a business owner.

Stop wasting time starting from scratch over and over.

Let me help you build your business better and faster. And maintain your reputation. Are you ready? Great. I’ll help you…

Work ruins relationships but it doesn't have to.

Work ruins relationships

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard it. And I’ve experienced it in my own life. Work ruins relationships. But it’s not really the work, is it? Be honest. Because work is actually good for you. And when you work, you get to eat. And feed, clothe, and house your family. How can any of those be bad for relationships. I’ll tell you what the real problem is…

Work ruins relationships but it doesn't have to.

Work ruins relationships only when people let it.

Believe it or not, some individuals don’t make the choice to balance work life with relationships. I know, crazy talk…right? And let’s face it. If something is worth doing and has real value, it takes effort. But too many business owners put all their effort in their business. Because they want to “make a better life” for their families. And many times they end up basically living apart from their families. It’s a matter of priorities. Since they prioritized business over family, they sacrificed a healthy home life.

So, I have a couple of questions for you. Are you actively working on your business systems and strategies? And are you actively working on a happy, healthy home life? A life where you’re more present and involved? If not, then you could be rolling the dice on one or the other…or both. And I’m talking about the long term. Just look around you. You’ll see it happening everywhere, every day. Work ruining relationships. But you don’t have to be one of those awful statistics.

My RondaReady online business coach CRM system can help you organize, prioritize, and systematize. And helping business owners have a happy home life is just one of the reasons I developed it. Let me help you…
